    definitely trying this. Loved the results of the upside-down bowl method, but both times I've tried it, I felt like fainting.

    Love this! Quick question: you keep mentioning Ouai products, but when I go to your link, I don't see their products. I'm seeing Prose, which I've heard good things about too, but wondering if you plan on adding Ouai in there as well?

    I've learned SO MUCH from your hair videos! Tbh, it's how I found it my hair wasn't straight either! Do you have any recommendations on parting your hair? It's something I get SO stuck on as my curls form wherever and so I don't know how to get my part in there.

    • @SophieMarieGraf
      @SophieMarieGraf  2 роки тому +9

      So I’d recommend setting the part right after the shower! I personally don’t use a hard part since I like to be able to flip my hair/run my hands through it haha, so that’s why I don’t apply product at the top of my hair (it keeps it flexible!)

      Hey! So for the most part when I go to a salon I ask for layers with long curtain bangs, but let the stylist choose what to do. For this cut she described it as “rounded layers” and they start at about chin length!

      Thank you!!! For the most part I find them at large vintage thrift stores. They are a little different than thrift stores like Goodwill (which I also go to) since typically they have booths from different collectors so it’s slightly more curated, but still not crazy expensive. I spend about 20-60 on a robe depending on the pattern/material and don’t recommend spending more than that since you can probably find a cheaper one eventually haha :)

      Hey! So I am not a big fan of refreshing my hair since I don’t like adding more product to my hair, and I also don’t like having to style everyday.
      I sleep with my hair up in a scarf (I have a short on this!) to keep it from getting tangled and messy between washes! With that I don’t feel the need to refresh :)
      I definitely recommend spending time on wash day to really get the style set from day 1 (ie bowl method instead of this quick routine)

    • @lindenpeters2601

      I have had this problem, too. I find that using lightweight products, and a good hard hold gel really helps me. Like just a spray leave-in (or spray curl enhancer) skip the curl cream, and use LA looks hard hold gel. (Instead of cream leave-in, curl cream, and mousse) I refresh with water or Garnier Wonder Waves spray if I don't feel there's enough product to create a good hold.
      Also make sure your waves are moisturized enough. Mine get curlier in humidity when they are properly moisturized!

    • @ccgg33

      I’m new to curly hair products but Clever Curl has a “humid weather” curl gel, and a “dry weather” curl gel.

    • @SophieMarieGraf
      @SophieMarieGraf  2 роки тому +4

      Hey! So if I diffuse with heat start to finish this would take around 25ish minutes! The actual product application aspect only takes a few minutes :)
      It should take a beginner roughly the same amount of time since it’s just about scrunching in all the product!

    I've always wondered......doesn't microfiber towel drying AFTER using products just remove the products with the water?!??? I've been drying my hair to damp after wash & conditioner, then just adding gel and diffusing. Works great, with a lot less expense & products.

    Hi! Your hair is beautiful! My 6 year old daughter has wavy/curly hair and I was wondering what to do with it on the days I don’t wash it? She likes to leave is down but when I brush it all the curls separate. Is there a way to keep them together overnight and set angle them without loosing the curls or making her hair really frizzy?

    • @SophieMarieGraf
      @SophieMarieGraf  2 роки тому +1

      Hey! So I like to wrap my hair up in a scarf at night to keep it from getting tangled overnight. That way I don’t have to brush it in between wash days! You could also try loosely braiding her hair at night if she doesn’t like the scarf idea :)

    • @truthinlovemama
      @truthinlovemama Рік тому
