well it doesn't put them on notice because it is a lawful order and even if they ended up being wrong according to a court of law, you still couldn't sue them individually because they would have been acting with the belief that they were acting in accordance with the law… Therefore there qualified immunity would be protected and you couldn't touch them
However we don't have to worry about any of that because the judges order is lawful and it is constitutional and people that say it isn't are simply wrong and therefore irrelevant to the conversation
After all it's not like they have any power in the judge's is an answer to them so who cares what they think or say

Lawsuit would be summarily dismissed because the deputy did not do anything wrong and the order is not unconstitutional

The judges order is not violating the First Amendment of the Constitution. That's an assumption you are making but is an incorrect assumption and this is why
Court houses, amongst other government buildings, are considered nonpublic forums as defined by the United States Supreme Court when they created the forum doctrine in 1983
Over the last 40 years what a nonpublic forum means and what can happen it in it and how your rights are limited within that form have been fairly well defined and consistently pointed out that your First Amendment rights, or at their lowest in a nonpublic forum because there are other considerations that take precedence
Within the confines of the courthouse usually those concerns orbit around things like security, and protection of identity of witnesses
As such, because it is a nonpublic forum, and because judges have the right, to take other considerations above the First Amendment, and because there is always a judge in charge of a courthouse and has responsibilities for security and protection etc., they are able to make these kinds of rulings
These rulings exist across the country especially in federal court houses, but many state and local court houses have followed suit
They have been challenged in court, and not wants yet has a challenge to a judge's order banning filming inside of a courthouse because of considerations of security and protection of witnesses been overturned
It's not been overturned a single time
So it's not a violation of the First Amendment because the First Amendment is low and limited in a courthouse because it is a non-public forum

Actually a judge cannot overrule the SCOTUS precedent ruling of Frazier v. Evans. They rely on judicial immunity in order to break the law, (which they do daily). Judges are required to allow non-obstructive recording in all public facilities even in the court room.

An unpleasant experience over 60 years ago with a Southern sheriff and his deputy has prevented me from even considering traveling south of the Mason-Dixon Line since then. @@timon184 You can say " period, end of story" all you want. But, that will not change the fact that you can be arrested ( expensive to defend yourself). You probably will prevail in court and then you can sue ( even more expensive). Plenty of chief judges in this country have prohibited recording within the court house, not just the court rooms. Cook County, Illinois is one of those which also prohibits cell phones anywhere in the building. Why don't you test this ?I am not saying you are wrong, I am saying it can be a pricy adventure.

That depends on the situation if the sharing of information puts people at risk or tips off a criminal.
And they will claim it is to ensure defendants receive a fair trial, but they will deny a defendant’s request for cameras. In court systems where cameras are installed, you see what they’re really worried about: the public actually seeing how the system works to suppress them at every stage.
