    I have been doing chin tucks for a couple years now, and would not give up on them so quickly. Of course the neck can be overtrained to the point of restricted movement but, done gradually chin tucks can lead the whole body into better alignment. The forward pressure they put on the lower face will over time assist the jaw and maxilla into the correct forward growth pattern.
    I do these exercises against a wall focusing on alignment and extension of the spine, while also pulling the shoulders back and down.
    Daily chin tuck exercises for 2-3 yrs have given me a more upright posture and more muscle tone in the neck.
    Yes a one must be careful not to over strain as this will lead to visible stiffness in the posture
    Chin tucks are best done as part of a series of exercises targeting the spine and neck.

    Lots of great points. For the record PRI does offer 4 courses for the neck up and has always been airway driven. I sympathize with all your points for and against PRI, there is a lot of word play which may leave even some practitioners somewhat confused and may not relay the information correctly. The founder often times makes assumptions about what the course attendee knows or should know which contributes to confusion. They actually are very big in airway and jaw position, but this information is covered in the most advanced courses. I like what you are doing trying to make the complicated less complicated but unfortunately it is complicated. There are a few really good presenters that do a great job talking about the ascending (foot up) approach some mentioned in the video but descending (top down) is only touched on by some but mostly left in the clinic.

    Hey JawHacks are you familiar with Neal Hallinan?? I think both are you are spot on and are going to be on the forefront of saving mankind from unnecessary everyday pains. Also I want to ask, I came across a video of you using the wall as accelerating the pressure of mewing. (Leaning the front top of your head on the wall while mewing) And it occurred to me to to Headstands to even accelerate the mewing and pressure onto the head even more, while also strengthening your neck/back and balance and help align your body even more.What are your thoughts?

      It depends on where the assymetry is. If it's mostly the alveolar bone then go to a black pilled based orthodontist/surgeon that does MSE or MSDO and the cant of the maxilla can be corrected by using the distractor device as an anchor and impacting the lower side upwards.
      If the assymetry is deeper and seen in your upper maxilla and one cheeckbonebeing clearly higher than the other ( be careful how you measure this) then likely the only way to solve this is to go to blackpill surgeon like Paul coceancig who will do a high cut lefort 1 and will also manipulate and cut the mandible into pieces to level your face so the orbitals and cheeckbones are level and the bite and gonions (back of mandible) are level as well. He can also fix midline discrepancy with teeth by centering them relative to nasal bone.
      If your chin is assymetric then you need a genioplasty. Or again go to blackpill surgeon who will give you genionpauly which will improve airways and drastically improve the shape and symmetry of chin if needed.
      In the meantime you should practice mewing and poper chin tucked head posture and shoulders back straight upper and lower back 24/7 while awake, try in sleep if you can aswell.
      When you chew try to chew evenly on both sides. What I do is use tongue to make one piece of food into two equal size amounts of food and place one each on either side and chew. That way I chew both sides simultaneously and with same force. It's improved by weaker side and kept it proportional to my stronger side as well.
      Gl 👍
      Also when your mewing don't ultra tense your tongue try to keep it in position where your nasal breathing atill works but your not chocking on tongue blocking it. It's subtle but if you try hard then over time the hyoid resting position will higher and it will get easy until it will default there. Feel it as you improve.

      Fix your breathing, your skull like your ribcage expands every time you breathe. Think of it as a return to your natural breathing that's been compromised due to an accumulation to bad habits.

    Why advocate chin tucks when it should be the straightening of the neck than tucking of chin? Tucking the chin will overactivate ur SCM and scalenes

      bro this is exactly what I just said in the Mewtropics discord. It’s crazy how much contradictory advice there is in this plethora of info about fixing our bodies.

    • @MarcoPeyrano
      @MarcoPeyrano 10 місяців тому

      Because tucking the chin (against a wall) straightens the neck, they say it that way so people understand what they mean with "straightening" the neck.
      I don't know if overactivation of the SCM is a problem, but i know that overactivation of the opposite muscles (trapezius) is one of the contributors to bad posture

    • @holyfield2141
      @holyfield2141 9 місяців тому +1

      @@MarcoPeyrano “straightening” the neck is counterproductive, a straight neck leads to a compressed spine. The SCMs becoming overactive is definitely a problem, speaking from experience, leads to inflammation.

    What it's really sad with his discours is that instead of simply alerting on the potential inefficacy of doing chin tuck, he wants to convince that it's somehow a total hoax, completely ignoring that what's working for him may not work for someone else and vice versa.
