    Hi Neal. By the miracle of UA-cam algorithms, one of your videos popped up on my feed a couple of weeks ago and it absolutely changed my life. I’ve had a lifelong struggle with so many body “aches” going all the way back to my teenage years(35 now). Those aches then evolved into debilitating injuries due to sports. I’ve gone to PTs, orthos and no one was able to truly solve my problems or even explain to me why I have constantly having so many random injuries. All of your videos explaining our body’s kinetic chain were basically a bolt of lightening that lit up the proverbial 💡 in my head. Everything makes sense now! Every small tip that I absorbed from you videos have brought me a sense of peace and comfort to my body that I haven’t felt since my early childhood. You are a god send! Just wanted to let you know that your work is changing people’s lives.

    I feel like I have hope now. The pain was unbearable. I am no longer classified as having adult scoliosis. yeah me the minor curve issues. I was taught I am to accept them. I cross my left leg over my right leg and my left neck pain to the point something pops out at c5. the pain is too much. I finally found a chiro that gave me some hope. I use a denneroll to help decrease the hump. and yet My left pelvic tilt forward. tight left neck. the right side of the neck c1 and c2 jammed. no curve in my neck, I see my left scm stand out when I move my left jaw out. dont see my right scm at all. I have lung issues. throat asthma and now bronchial asthma. I have a hump on my shoulders (they say i have to big of boobs). I am right brain right eye, right hand, right foot dominance. I am finally finding my answers through you. I can't get enough of your videos. I just found a blog of yours and now shared it on my fanpage on fb for all to see. Must get back to studying what you are teaching. Thank you.

    I have/had a crooked smile that was a fairly new thing. It’s gotten a little better, but it was worse before. I have to assume that it’s gotta be related to an alignment issue. Can you speak on this at all? My left side seems more taught and my teeth show slightly less on my left side. My right lower lip is slightly lower than my left side lower lip. It’s like my right lower lip is a little saggy, but maybe it’s because my left side is pulling more so it’s slightly pulled up. Would live to hear your feedback on crooked smiles and potential causes. Your work is awesome!!!!! Thank you!

I have 2 appointments for a splint specifically for posture restoration run by professionals and I also have an appointment for MEAW therapy which is a splint alternative. Hi Neal,
    My issues started as neck pain which I thought were my scalene’s SCM, massage helped but over a period of time it then also became scapular pain and tightness. Then I thought it was the shoulder muscles so I massaged and stretched and tried to strengthen . Everything felt better for a while but it’s short term..
    At times, my breathing is affected. Usually only on one side.. My lower lumbar spine is also now being affected.
    I have a slight head tilt to the right, my right shoulder/thorax is rotated or twisted posteriorly. My right shoulder is lower, my right hip is higher it also is rotated forward. For the longest time, I thought I had upper and lower crossed syndrome. I’ve stretched and tried to strengthen muscles to no avail. My right glute does not activate at all. I believe this is even affecting my organs because of my breathing and insides are probably getting crunched up. My blood pressure at times spikes.
    All my pain though is on the left side, side of neck, shoulder/scapula & left lower lumbar.
    My right side feels more taut and I do stretch it, but again it’s not helping.
    Which one of your great videos do you think I should do?
    Watching your videos gives me hope to help myself.
    Thank you in advance if you reply.

    This is spot on. My issue is the left SCM where I have a sternoclavicular separation as well as a shortening of the clavicle because of a break. I think the body is trying to stabilize the area by activating the SCM. I was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos just recently.. • @NealHallinan
      @NealHallinan  5 років тому +2

      Absolutely. But it would also depend on getting your ribcage neutral. Left Stance/left ZOA require pelvic/ribcage/neck neutrality. For some people it occurs very easily. Others arent so easy.

    • @NealHallinan
      @NealHallinan  3 роки тому +1

      Yes. It's built into certain PRI techniques, but alternating temporal bone positions is also a part of cranial-sacral therapy. Temporal bones have to "wobble" into internal and external rotation with the cranial rhythm. Sometimes they get stuck due to the influence of the Right TMCC pattern.

    • @NealHallinan
      @NealHallinan  4 роки тому +1

      That's complicated. It depends on the person, but if someone is getting orthodontia or other treatment, they may benefit from doing PRI at the same time. Situations are different, but I think most people should do PRI at the same time. I just don't like to say "always".

    • @NealHallinan
      @NealHallinan  4 роки тому +3

      I'd say that the right SCM can keep you stuck in a pattern, rather than be the originator of the pattern. Patterns are "systemic" meaning the cause it the entire "system", not just one part of the system. On the other hand, one part of the system (like the right SCM) can definitely keep you stuck in a pattern once the pattern has already been established. Hope that makes sense.

      Maxillary splints aren't used in PRI. Only mandibular. The cranial bones have small amounts of movement to them, and there is a suture that joins the two halves of the maxilla. We don't want to restrict that movement with a maxillary splint.
