Hi Neal. By the miracle of UA-cam algorithms, one of your videos popped up on my feed a couple of weeks ago and it absolutely changed my life. I’ve had a lifelong struggle with so many body “aches” going all the way back to my teenage years(35 now). Those aches then evolved into debilitating injuries due to sports. I’ve gone to PTs, orthos and no one was able to truly solve my problems or even explain to me why I have constantly having so many random injuries. All of your videos explaining our body’s kinetic chain were basically a bolt of lightening that lit up the proverbial 💡 in my head. Everything makes sense now! Every small tip that I absorbed from you videos have brought me a sense of peace and comfort to my body that I haven’t felt since my early childhood. You are a god send! Just wanted to let you know that your work is changing people’s lives.
Hi Neal sir U can easily explain what I am going through from last 7 years I'm 25 years old , no one diagnosed it prply , I was simply put under anti depression tablets , I knew I was depressed coz of my pain and I know I'll be contacting you very soon and ull be helping me out to fix all my issues 😭😭
I have/had a crooked smile that was a fairly new thing. It’s gotten a little better, but it was worse before. I have to assume that it’s gotta be related to an alignment issue. Can you speak on this at all? My left side seems more taught and my teeth show slightly less on my left side. My right lower lip is slightly lower than my left side lower lip. It’s like my right lower lip is a little saggy, but maybe it’s because my left side is pulling more so it’s slightly pulled up. Would live to hear your feedback on crooked smiles and potential causes. Your work is awesome!!!!! Thank you!
I’m glad this video exists. It give me so much hope. I know I have a crossbite that’s affected my posture significantly. I have 2 appointments for a splint specifically for posture restoration run by professionals and I also have an appointment for MEAW therapy which is a splint alternative. I’m still debating which to go with, maybe someone can give me some advice? Regardless, thank you for providing the upmost help for people in our situations. Thank you Neal.
What about left side neck, collar bone and some shoulder pain...I’m definitely left AIC pattern, having worked with a PRI therapist for back pain...but this left side neck pain is new
I feel like I have hope now. The pain was unbearable. I am no longer classified as having adult scoliosis. yeah me the minor curve issues. I was taught I am to accept them. I cross my left leg over my right leg and my left neck pain to the point something pops out at c5. the pain is too much. I finally found a chiro that gave me some hope. I use a denneroll to help decrease the hump. and yet My left pelvic tilt forward. tight left neck. the right side of the neck c1 and c2 jammed. no curve in my neck, I see my left scm stand out when I move my left jaw out. dont see my right scm at all. I have lung issues. throat asthma and now bronchial asthma. I have a hump on my shoulders (they say i have to big of boobs). I am right brain right eye, right hand, right foot dominance. I am finally finding my answers through you. I can't get enough of your videos. I just found a blog of yours and now shared it on my fanpage on fb for all to see. Must get back to studying what you are teaching. Thank you.
Hi Neal, would you be able to comment on the cervical/neurological issues that may arise due to right SMC, right AIC etc and how PRI address this additional complications?
Abi sanırım Türksünüz (veya Türkçe biliyorsunuz), isminizden dolayı bunu söylüyorum PRI hakkında, ve özellikle "cranial sidebend" dediğimiz şey hakkında bilginiz var mı ? Teşekkürler
Thanks a lot!! Been watchin your other videos ...couldnt understand all of it, as my English is not that great....but in this vid you show the "shift" clearly😊
Hi Neal, My issues started as neck pain which I thought were my scalene’s SCM, massage helped but over a period of time it then also became scapular pain and tightness. Then I thought it was the shoulder muscles so I massaged and stretched and tried to strengthen . Everything felt better for a while but it’s short term.. At times, my breathing is affected. Usually only on one side.. My lower lumbar spine is also now being affected. I have a slight head tilt to the right, my right shoulder/thorax is rotated or twisted posteriorly. My right shoulder is lower, my right hip is higher it also is rotated forward. For the longest time, I thought I had upper and lower crossed syndrome. I’ve stretched and tried to strengthen muscles to no avail. My right glute does not activate at all. I believe this is even affecting my organs because of my breathing and insides are probably getting crunched up. My blood pressure at times spikes. All my pain though is on the left side, side of neck, shoulder/scapula & left lower lumbar. My right side feels more taut and I do stretch it, but again it’s not helping. Which one of your great videos do you think I should do? Watching your videos gives me hope to help myself. Thank you in advance if you reply.
I have this on both sides of the neck and now my speech is affected. Just standing on the right and then the Left just doesn’t seem like enough to solve this problem. I do that but it still feels tight.
Maybe it will be interesting. I have a pain in my neck on the right side, but most likely it's the scalene muscles. So the ribs on the right side are IR, especially the first two ribs to tham the muscles are attached.
Sometimes on the right the top two ribs are externally rotated "up" and the other ribs are down. Caused by overactive scalenes. It's called Superior T4 in PRI. It's a major pain in the ass.
I was diagnosed with arterial tos last year. Ive had to use pri everyday to throw a baseball consistently. I also found that making a "double chin" has helped as well.
Absolutely. But it would also depend on getting your ribcage neutral. Left Stance/left ZOA require pelvic/ribcage/neck neutrality. For some people it occurs very easily. Others arent so easy.
@@TheSchnarfSchnarf thanks. I appreciate your kind words. I wish I were able to provide more guidance on what exercises to do, but everyone has different situations (although the patterns/positions we get stuck in are all generally similar).
if there is dental issues, can we fix it by dentsist and practice pri at same time which should be considered first dentist work or pri or both together?
That's complicated. It depends on the person, but if someone is getting orthodontia or other treatment, they may benefit from doing PRI at the same time. Situations are different, but I think most people should do PRI at the same time. I just don't like to say "always".
This is spot on. My issue is the left SCM where I have a sternoclavicular separation as well as a shortening of the clavicle because of a break. I think the body is trying to stabilize the area by activating the SCM. I was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos just recently.. I was an athlete before , but now i'm an extremely rigid person and can barely even bend or walk . It's crazy.
@@notasuperuser sure brother, on what platform? I feel like i have a great PRI program and i do my exercises daily but i feel like im being held back by my neck being tight all the time. I feel like if that gets resolved, ill be out of this left aic pattern
Neal, Are we absolutely certain that it's the SCM that does that to the Temporal Bone or could it also be something else? Do we have proof or is this just a hypothesis? Thanks
How’ve you been doing? Any form of malocclusion will leave your bite ungrounded keeping you from getting neutral. I’m one of these people since I have a crossbite and an open bite. I’m getting orthodontic treatment to get out of this ridged body 😔
What if the whole right maxilla is actually down and sort of internally rotated more than the left? Is that related to the whole issue? And will retainer fix that along with pri?
is it possible that the right scm is the source of all the issues down stream with the pelvis? I had neck problems played football in HS a couple years later I have found myself stuck in left aic right bc
I'd say that the right SCM can keep you stuck in a pattern, rather than be the originator of the pattern. Patterns are "systemic" meaning the cause it the entire "system", not just one part of the system. On the other hand, one part of the system (like the right SCM) can definitely keep you stuck in a pattern once the pattern has already been established. Hope that makes sense.
Maxillary splints aren't used in PRI. Only mandibular. The cranial bones have small amounts of movement to them, and there is a suture that joins the two halves of the maxilla. We don't want to restrict that movement with a maxillary splint.
Is it possible to make the temporal bone go back to its original «outward» position? (I have learned soooooooooo much from you the last 3 hours - you cant even fathom!!!
Yes. It's built into certain PRI techniques, but alternating temporal bone positions is also a part of cranial-sacral therapy. Temporal bones have to "wobble" into internal and external rotation with the cranial rhythm. Sometimes they get stuck due to the influence of the Right TMCC pattern.
Hey Neal, I know that the right side of my face is fuller than the left. It’s the opposite of what you are talking about, how would you explain that? I feel like I have to travel all the way from Germany just to see you, otherwise it will be hard to correct this problem.
There are many potential cranial patterns and asymmetrical presentations. I just mention one that is commonly found due to PRI defined patterns of neck overactivity. There is a PRI person in Germany now. Check the PRI website. I can't guarantee anything, of course.
