I got elden ring, beat margit on my third try, was like, “oh, this game is easier than I thought”, and then got beat up by godrick for the next few days. Turns out I was overlevelled for margit.

I swear for some reason everyone is stuck on either Margit or Godrick. I haven't heard someone that blitz through nor stuck on both. I myself is one of those that stuck on Margit and beat Godrick in forth try

@@jivasche7345 I did blitz both of them, but it was because I was over levelled as fck. Went thru Stormveil at level 45 with dual Greatswords and claw Talisman. Completely melted Margit and Godrick's HP bars. I was so unsatisfied I made another character just to fight Margit underlevelled at level 16. Spent 3 hours before finally beating him. Finally, got the experience most other people got lmao. Still curbstomped Godrick tho I'm sorry he's just..he's genuinely really easy imo most of his attacks are insanely telegraphed and slow plus his second phase is just pathetic.

@@gogolemon888 In elden ring there are certain builds that are too overpowered that make the game “easier” for example just using a bleed build weapons is overpowered because build up is so easy aswell as the damage being high. Also another mechanic previous souls fans are not very fond of are the spirit summoning which is basically summoning some goons to help you fight a boss instead of multiplayer.
@@moe7157 the summons basically die anyway, and even when leveled all they do is just draw attention for like 3 seconds and die. Only like a few good ones tank for a bit

A fair amount of souls players are people who are insecure and needed something to brag about. And when they see others doing it and normalizing their “accomplishment” (most people have beat at least one fromsoft game at this point) they act like a wounded animal and lash out

@@danielbrowning3715I don’t think that’s what it is. I think they just want people to beat the game without the use of cheese weapons/spells and ashes. That way the players learn the move set of each boss and beat them solo. I think that’s their thought process from what i understand.
There's no problem with using whatever you want playing these games as long as u're having fun, that's the most important thing, however, beating most bosses with spirits & mimic tears & then brag about it, that's the dilemma . Lie to urself all u want, u did beat the game, but not by urself .

Honestly the worst part about From Software fans are that they preach the good word of "THE GAMES ARE SO AWESOME YOU CAN DO ANYTHING!!" and then if you don't play exactly like they want they say you suck, or that you cheese or whatever, in any case you're playing it "wrong".
Not all FS fans are like that, I cheesed the heck out of this game on my first playthrough and I don't regret it one bit 😂

This was hilarious! I grinded out the last of the bosses, and I beat Malenia before Elden Beast too. She was way easier in comparison, and I laughed like a madman when you ran into the same problems I did with Radagon. Shoutout to Wallfry who helped me finally beat them!
To add to this, NG+ Malenia is beating my butt. Gonna have to grind out a bit more to roleplay as the Rot Queen (forgot to duplicate her remembrance first run)

I liked everything about the final boss, especially the radagon portion expect for how big the elden beast arena is and how far away he runs.He not challenging so much as he is incredibly irrating. By the time I best the game I wasn't even that satisfied because I was so tired of chasing him around the arena for way longer than you should every try.
The Elden Beast battle feels like it's meant to be fought on Torrent, but they forgot to enable the summon.
Personally, I wish Marika was the 1st phase, and Radagon was the 2nd. That would be epic.

Why use the game's mechanics and systems to beat the oftentimes unfair game itself? Why not just just play a Lvl 1 naked character with a club and a parry shield? I mean cool that some people are doing that, but how many hours must they have wasted to get that one video showing off their "skills". Only a masochist would attempt such insanity. There's no intrinsic value in gatekeeping yourself from using OP weapons, Bleed, and spirit summons. If anything, it's FromSoft's fault, for not balancing everything properly.

I would never have beat Malenia if I didn't have help from other players. People can call me a cheeser or a casual all they like, but I'm just glad to be through with it. And I'm incredibly grateful to whoever 'Gigachad' was for helping me end my three hour struggle.

My Elden Bling was Blaidd's set but with a Greathelm for that Crusader look. I used the Greatsword primarily, never even seen or read Berserk, the weapon just suits my preferred strategy which is "hit them really really hard with the biggest stick you can find" usually works well. Throw in Bloodhounds step for much needed mobility and a blood or ice affinity and you're usually good to go.
As a Fromsoft fan, just wanted to say thanks for giving this game a chance even after those pathetic gatekeepers did everything in their power to make you feel like you don't deserve to play it for some reason. I love to see more people enjoying the souls experience. As for people who say that using summons, magic or any other strategy doesn't count or makes you a worse player for some reason, just shut the fuck up. The challenge in this game is flexible, if you're just not willing to put in hours upon hours so you can beat a particularly difficult boss, but still want to play the rest of the game that's completely fine. Someone else having an easier time beating a boss shouldn't invalidate the self worth you got from beating it and you certainly shouldn't try to take away someone elses self worth for using those strategies. If you get angry at someone who uses a certain strategy, that's your problem not theirs.
True words friend, if they follow that logic, then they should clear the game with a LVL 1 Wretch to "actually clear" the game.

I would actually agree tbh. You shouldn't be overlevelled in your first experience. It kinda ruins the fun in the challenge, but like, in a game as open and massive as Elden Ring its probably inevitable that you'll be overleveled for some stuff.
Although I don't agree with the whole "Git gud" thing these people have. Everyone struggles a bit in their first playthrough. Some people struggle more, some people struggle less, but everyone struggles. And its okay, as long as you like, don't give up completely or resort to like, glitchy exploits to cheat the mechanics of the game. Like, generally when I struggle with a boss, I just take a break, perhaps a whole day off, then return. And believe me it helps. It helped me beat Radahn solo so you can guess how much it helps lol.

Literally me 😂😂 spent 135 hours on my first play through. 60 hours in my second and only 20 on my 3rd because I was just going for the basic ending to get the achievement. Having a full map definitely helps a ton too. And too be fair on each new game + play through I found atleast a few things I didn’t before!

My life felt utterly meaningless after beating the game for the first time lol. Playing the game on launch day and for that first week of launch, it was magical. Yeah, the game is bs with some of its boss fights. How is using the provided tools, weapons and mechanics considered cheesing? Cheesing is when you glitch Mogh's fight by jumping the gravestones.
With all these arbitrary restrictions gatekeepers are putting on the only thing you can play is a pure str build and that shit is so fucking under powered. I'd like to see colossal weapons buffed in some way so they can be at all viable but also so the gatekeepers have nothing left to claim is the "legitimate" way to play

Her moveset and second phase are tough on their own, it's the HP she regens back that is bs. Couple her regen with her bs undodgeable moveset, and you have the worst designed bossfight in FromSoft history.

I mean there is a reason they nerfed them, clearly they realised that they fucked up. But they got so much flack for nerfing the bosses they stopped themselves from going too far. It's one thing to complain about someone using a cool weapon, it's another thing running away from the truth that RoB make the game a joke and genuinely remove the point from playing it. Play how you want but have some self awareness.

I am on…god…I think my 15th playthrough of Elden Ring
I’ve had the game for over a year now, and even though it’s much easier than it used to be, I still love it, so goddamn much
Or I guess it’s not EASY, just that I’ve gotten better at the game
To let you guys get an idea of how much better I’ve gotten at the game
1st full playthrough: I needed to summon other players to help me fight all endgame bosses (Malenia, Maliketh, Godfrey and Radagon/Elden Beast), didn’t even understand stat spreads or even how to set up a build for myself
Current Playthrough: I’ve named my build the Champion of the Night Sky, my right hand wields the Dark Moon Greatsword, my left hand wields the Carian Regal Scepter, my spells are Ranni’s Dark Moon, Stars of Ruin, Comet Azur, Adula’s Moonblade and Carian Phalanx, my talismans are Green Turtle, Dragoncrest Greatshield, Primal Glintblade and Erdtree’s Favour +1, and with this build, I have beaten Malenia, Maliketh and Mohg, all on first attempts, probably gonna do the same to Godfrey too, and likely going to melt through Radagon and Elden Beast
Like I said, I’ve played through the game many times, but this just goes to show how addictive it is, how I’ve played through well over 10 times by now, I’ve tried various builds to see how I feel about them, even gotten the hang of bosses to the point where even Malenia, the undefeated scarlet queen, fails to put me down
And in the end, I cannot even say the game is easy, merely that I know it that well at this point
I love Elden Ring…so fucking much
I’d also like to say that I despise FromSoft gatekeepers, those jackasses who think it’s a crime to summon help or use things like magic or frost and bleed

Ok the first scene of this video, that dragon boss fight is what I used to imagine how games looked when I would read PC gamer magazine, while at home I would play original Xbox and Nintendo 64 games, I would dream of PC games and imagine this, later I learned it was not true but now I am again floored by the visual intensity of that first dragon in the video. I can't imagine how it could look any crazier than that in future games but I'm sure talented artists and devs will make it happen.

Fighting Malenia with a great sword is like cbt, got lucky and stun locked her with my mimic but it took like 80 tries
