I've gone to New game +6 in Bloodborne. I have never seen Alfred stay alive that long in any of my playthroughs. Zanny's playthroughs just be different
Thats because Zanny actually gave a damn about how much aggro his summon was drawing, so many hosts just let their NPC's get steam rolled while pussy-footing around instead of playing an active role in the boss a.i. tug-o-war like they're supposed to. And then they act all shocked like "Wow this NPC didnt carry the entire fight? Useless" Alfred is an absolute unit as long as you're pulling your weight.

@Akkar Aung The Threaded Cane does like ~15% less damage than other starting weapons untransformed but attacks significantly faster, thus putting it on the higher end of DPS, it also has access to almost every physical damage type and it's transformed mode can hit things through walls. If your problem is your Arcane performance then you should consider that the Threaded cane has entirely standard arcane scaling, there are far better Arcane weapons out there even early on such as LHB and Tonitrus, and the Threaded cane performs exceptionally on a skill build with it's high potential to stunlock small or humanoid opponents and its ability to switch between precise and wide-area attacks. Realistically, however, the more likely culprit if your Arcane build is not doing well in terms of melee damage and you're using a more mundane weapon is your blood gems because they almost all start at D scaling and have to be turned into optimal choices through customisation which is why the Saw Spear has been a dominant tool for Arcane runs since the game came out, because it's just a good all round weapon, not because it has anything inherently to do with an arcane build. But if you're concerned enough about mechanics to mostly just care about what is *good* then you should probably just play skill anyway because it scales visceral damage in a way that no other stat in the game does which is blatantly Overpowered. If you are under the impression that it doesn't do very much damage, and also frequently play with it in it's transformed state (as a whip), you may find that the root of the problem comes from the fact that, similarly to *many* other weapons, such as the Hunter Axe, the transformed moveset is significantly slower but does not offer a damage increase and is therefore trash for single target damage, these forms are intended for crowd control and/or range control and should not be spammed.
I dont even wanna imagine how many hours in playtime alone you got for a single video. Not to mention the time editing all of the Videomaterial. I am really impressed. And you manage to keep being entertaining the whole time. Probs to you man!

A perfect Bloodbourne vid. The mechanics jokes, the fear, the thrill, the Vaati cameos. Well done sir.

Literally impossible to burn out on Souls games but ok buddy
@@Lknzvc For some, but not all. I for one could be content playing through the series over and over again.
But for others, they may want to try different things or experiment with different games.
Plus, Zanny is also looking at this from the perspective of a content creator. Not only does he have to play the games but edit them too which can drag down his ability to keep from burning out on them.
Just food for thought, it may be impossible for you to burn out on them but you aren’t everyone.
Zanny: this better not be a scary game
Me: laughs in lovecraftian.
Bloodborne goes to dudes with torches to a walnut spider and a big man-baby with a shrimp
While it lacks jumpscares, I think Bloodborne is unintentionally the best horror game ever made. Thinking about some of the concepts in the lore is really terrifying to think about
"These games cheat so you have to cheat back" no truer words have every been spoken
I've gone to New game +6 in Bloodborne. I have never seen Alfred stay alive that long in any of my playthroughs. Zanny's playthroughs just be different
Alfred is such a Chad, I almost forgive him for *[COMMENT REDACTED]*
Thats because Zanny actually gave a damn about how much aggro his summon was drawing, so many hosts just let their NPC's get steam rolled while pussy-footing around instead of playing an active role in the boss a.i. tug-o-war like they're supposed to. And then they act all shocked like "Wow this NPC didnt carry the entire fight? Useless"
Alfred is an absolute unit as long as you're pulling your weight.
@@sasaki999pro yeah. Like Valtr used to carry me for you-know-who. Henrietta, though, is a pussy who's only good quality is that she has a pretty name and a nice hat iirc.
If I had a nickel for every time Zanny got bullied into playing one of the best games ever, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

I can totally relate to this video! I was hesitant to play Bloodborne at first, but after seeing so many people online raving about it, I finally caved and gave it a try. And you know what? I'm so glad I did! It's now one of my all-time favorite games, and I can't imagine not having experienced it.
It would just be nice if the game ran better... a PC version would be very much appreciated.
Hearing somebody excitedly proclaim the gun parrying to be awesome is something I never knew I needed. I'm so happy 😅

Going from rather calm to absolute crying panic over Paternal Gas Can is the epitome of the blind bloodborne experience
"paternal gas can" this is one of the best nicknames I've heard for gascoigne xD
The cut to watching Vaati videos to understand what's going on really got a laugh out of me. What a mood.
Zanny watching Vaati while playing the game is a mood. Best place to go to understand what the heck is going on lol
Also, Bloodborne's soundtrack absolutely slaps, thanks for the reminder, Zanny.
The brother’s code BB story explained was an enjoyable and coherent video as well.
@@R1R1R2 Oh I've seen that too and totally agree.

I hope you got the "Game of the Year" edition, because if you play Bloodborne going throw the DLC is basicaly an OBLIGATION.
I have never actually played Bloodborne myself because I don't have a PS4 and I agree, The Old Hunters is *the* best DLC Fromsoft ever released, period.
Artorias of the Abyss or the Ringed City are great but The Old Hunters is on a whole other plane of existence.

Edit: I also need to get all the weapons (all that's left is the Chikage, burial blade, and beast claws)
Zanny: chooses the Threaded Cane as his starting weapon
Also Zanny: I do no damage! What is this!?
Untransform your weapon, god commands it, giant whip = slow ass attacks with no damage increase = DPS halved
