Fun fact: The awkward little pause after you kill Mergo's Wet Nurse before the "Nightmare Slain" appears has a lore reason: The Nightmare isn't the lovecraftian blade angel monster. The actual Nightmare is a wee little baby (Mergo) that also happens to be a juvenile Great One and the awkward little pause is caused by the fact that the baby takes a few seconds to die in its knocked-over stroller after you kill the nurse.

i first gave this game a shot halfway through 2021 and i hated it and uninstalled it. came back to it about a month and a half ago and i have since beaten the game almost 7 times. i genuinely cannot put it down.

Just gotta get over the learning curve and it's a game you can drop a hundred hours into before you realize you've played a hundred hours.
im at the first half of your experience. I made my character, fought those two werewolf things at the beginning (and lost). and then I was thrust into the first open area (the town place) and got completely destroyed. I didn't know how to fight, didn't know how to parry, the combat was so mind-blowingly punishing. The worst part was, IT WASNT EVEN A BOSS THAT GOT ME TO DELETE THE GAME, IT WAS THE REGULER TOWNS-PEOPLES, THEY KEPT KILLING ME OVER AND OVER and eventually I decided "this type of masochistic mental torture just isn't for me, I'll just go play god of war instead" and now I watched a playthrough of elden ring and it looks amazing. Decided to check out the other soulsborne game and found out zanny played this and it looks really, really good. should I play this or not?

Do the DLC, I skipped over it when I played the game too but I came back and I promise, it's great and something you don't want to skip. Especially the weapons, if you like the chikage I bet you'd love the Rakuyo, it's honestly the most fun weapon in the game. The weapons and bosses in the dlc are some of the greatest fromsoft have made imo.

1. When he's changing into 2nd phase,go behind him,hit him with fully charged heavy and do visceral
What it does is it removes his hyper armor from 2nd and 3rd phase so he's much more easier to stagger and parry
2.When he summons that huge cloud raining swords in 2nd and 3rd phase,he thrusts sword into the ground
That sword can be destroyed to stop thay attack and has 1hp so you can just shoot it with pistol to break it
And don't roll,dodging is better in every way
