My best guess for the lone wanderer cameo is Arturo the gun shop owner in Diamond City, Fallout 4. He was never jumped into the BoS. He'd be late 20's in FO4. The LW was 18 when he/she got kicked out of the vault. The Courier had history in and around the Mojave prior to getting the platinum chip. The lonesome road dlc pretty much cemented that.
But their was a large gap in years between 3 and NV and their is no clear dates given for all the pass life things that happened for the courier so you could make the argument that they are one in the same
@@HiAgainTheNameIsStillAyle yeah. I've been using hardcore with Viva new Vegas. However Iive reached Vegas. Scavenging for water or food for survival has become... Very easy. Before that, it was pretty fun looking for food and drinks I guess it makes sense to be well stocked now
The years line up perfectly, i mean within those three years between both games they literally could have skipped D.C with absolutely nothing left for them back there and ended up being the Courier of the Mojave. The fact that your past is left unanswered, this is literally like F3 gave you the beginning, now use NV to make the continuation or even the ending for after Hoover Dam. Definitely makes A Tale of Two Wastelands feel alot more lore friendly this way too. Also this dude looks kinda like Three Dog with the beanie, glasses and beard and I love that.
I really like playing my character as if he went from being the Lone Wanderer to The Courier. After everything that happened from having to leave Vault 101, to getting rid of the Enclave Forces in Broken Steel, he was tired of everything. He fought the "good fight", but it ended up in him losing his father after spending little time with him again, and losing his innocence from the Wasteland. So he's fed up, he wishes farewell to the Brotherhood of Steel and leaves the Capital Wasteland. He's tired of fighting, he's already given most of his stuff away. This leads to him eventually ending up in Nevada, where he just wants to live a quiet life as a courier until he gets captured and shot by Benny.
Todd Howard "it just works" lolol. Jon have you ever watched The spiffing brit? He plays a lot of bethesda games you might enjoy him. Also this was great as always. I love the Head Cannon series
I have brain damage from Nuero surgery that I needed for an illness . This damage affects My short term memory meaning I can't drive and I was left with weakness on My Right side. So the fact that The Courier was able to relearn all those Skills as well as new stuff such as Power Armor operation and a host of other skills aka Perks after being shot in the head TWICE cause not only do You hear a second shot but Laneius mentions two bullets leaving there mark is nothing short of a miracle. I don't give a damn if Your Endurance Perception and Luck is a 10.
First of all, I'm glad you're still around today, that's gotta be tough. You're the REAL survivor here. Second, I totally forgot about what Lanius says, you're right! The human body truly is a marvel. And once again, I'm glad you're here. Thanks for watching.
I appreciate you taking the time to watch. I did address this is the video. The Courier just asks the Lonesome Stranger if he's 17. The following responses don't actually say "Am I your dad?" I'm not aware of any possible kids in New Reno, but that's why I love these games. That's something I possibly haven't seen yet. Thanks for letting me know.
In Fallout 3 point lookout dlc a piece of your brain is removed this could be the empty spot Benny shot you at thus partially explaining how you might survive.
You know, I always thought this was the anomaly the Think Tank was talking about in Old World Blues. They may not have been meant to be, but I feel like they left plenty of bread crumbs that COULD link these games. I appreciate you taking the time, thanks for watching.
Only reason i could jutify Lone Wanderer being the Courier is Tal of Two Wasteland mod but, realistically , carry over characters are rare, Harold, Arthur Maxon , McReady etc. So I would say no. And lets be fair , Arthur may as well be a different character , a little kid in Fallout 3, an adult soldier in Fallout 4.
Head CANON, only one "n". And the TLDR answer is yes. In theory the answer is yes. The LW is from DC and does what they do there, but by the time Fallout 4 comes around, they aren't mentioned and Fallout 4 is only a few years after NV, and about 15 years or something from Fallout 3. The LW is 19 or 20 around FO3 time, so that'd put them in their rough 20s or early 30s around NV time. The Courier is notorious for being everywhere, but not exactly a direct age or origin. The LW could have gone west for a variety of reasons, INCLUDING the brotherhood or NCR. They meet the brotherhood in FO3 and anything could have happened to cause them to help or join the brotherhood again, and the brotherhood vs NCR situation out west could be a good enough reason yeah. They could have also just found their own reasons. The courier has been all throughout the west, and has even been out eastern a bit. They could have come from DC and just "been" to the locations mentioned in the lore, and found courier work out west and just kept it up. The courier doesn't seem phased by vaults or the brotherhood so... Its hardly realistic, but it could be argued as plausible.
Head CANNON, with 2 "N"s, like the weapon. I did spell it like that on purpose. Look at the thumbnails, I tried to be as blatant as possible for the reasoning. And second, because this is just my head CANON, I AM just arguing probability. Thanks for watching, I appreciate you.
This is a dumb idea; on so many levels a dumb idea. The idea is that THEY ARE WITHOUT AN IDENITY, WITHOUT A FACE OR NAME. The idea is just a mystery stranger with no name or face you could know of! Quite LITTERALLY THAT IS ALL.
Wait... Okay, so I've been a bethesda player for many years, probably over a decade at this point, but most of it was on PC All thats to say: THEY BOUND MENU TO THE B BUTTON???? Whyyyyyy? Y or back buttons are what you usually use for that... I dont understand...
Yeah, I don't get it either. For Xbox, it's A for action, B for menu, Y for jump, and X to draw weapon. But it became so ingrained in my muscle memory that now I'm constantly crouching (B in Starfield) when I want to open my menu. And you can rebind every button but the menu button, and whatever select does (I forget now). Weird
I would have enjoyed some more visual elements when you were talking about the journey (as someone not from the states). Though besides that little point i really enjoyed the video and your story telling. I really love this style of video keep it coming👍
Thanks for watching. I'll try and incorporate more visual storytelling in the future. I guess, like most Americans, I take for granted what we have here in our country as far as landscapes and whatnot. I appreciate you.
I left a like on your video for the brainstorming. BUT why would the lone wanderer be the courier, if he had all that enclave technology and all that much stashed loot. why start from 0 as a simpleton mailman ? then get shot in the head by that peashooter ? deathclaws shouldnt even be a problem for the lon wanderer. if the courier was the lone wanderer you would start at level 50 with max loot. this theory is invalid.
First of all, thanks for watching, I appreciate it. As for the rest, what Enclave tech? Raven Rock, self destruction. Crawler, BoS controlled. As a matter of fact, it would be reasonable to assume all Enclave tech would be taken by the BoS. The Lone Wanderer wouldn't start over from 0 as a choice, but as a result of TBI. As far as loot? Caps get spent. But again, this is my head cannon. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, just proposing one story. I'd love to hear yours. Who is your Courier?
@@personalizedhandleforthejonsho the lone wanderer definitely kept all sorts of loot. even in the end of the operation anchorage DLC. the brotherhood allows him to keep some of the tech inside. i like to think that basically the lone wanderer could take whatever they want. and even if he spent all his caps, dont think theyd just go back to being a simpleton mailman. the remnants only dropped their enclave tech because they were being hunted and killed so they adapted with commoners, dont see why 101 kid would have to do that. i think the courier is just that. a courier who got caught in the middle of everything and they grew powerful in the journey. but thats the beauty of it. nothing is confirmed or denied. the gender/ age of any of the endings are canon until godd howard says so. just like how hes gonna kill off the NCR in the new TV show.
