Great video! The lore was pretty spot on. However, I have a few points on lore that wasn’t accurate: - Calhoun was sent back to the Followers of the apocalypse, not the NCR, and over 30 years prior to the Legion meeting the NCR. So, no threats were imposed. - The Mojave Campaign wasn’t about fending off the Legion until the Ranger unification Treaty in 2271, and more notably the first battle of Hoover Dam in 2277. - Caesar doesn’t view his Legion as a reincarnation. It is merely modeled after the Roman Legions of old. Everything acts as a system of control to Sallow. - The attack on fort Aradesh (abandon), while mentioned briefly as a location by Ulysses, is not officially in the cannon lore of FNV. - During the first battle of Hoover Dam, Oliver’s troops were ordered to fall to the side and let the Legion advance into boulder city. They did not have orders to slow them down at all. Its clear that you had fun making this, and you have everything it takes to be very successful in this space. I urge you to curb your biases as much as possible. It’s our responsibility as content creators to present the lore as accurately as possible, especially so when we cover our favorite factions. Trust me. I made that exact mistake with my first ever video “Why Caesar’s Legion will always win”. I can’t wait to see more from you!!
Definitely going to pin this comment, thanks for the corrections and thanks for watching! With the fallout universe there is so much info back and forth between game companies that it's hard the figure out what is cannon nowadays and what isn't. I've been playing since the release of fallout 3, so sometimes hard to distinguish between active and retconned lore. I definitely gotta find someone else who i can bounce ideas off of to double check lol P.S I have actually seen your videos before and think they're great!
Absolutely! This franchise is pretty difficult to navigate. Thanks for being receptive to my comment, I am quickly becoming a fan of your content and can’t wait to see what’s to come!
Looking at the NCR and Caesar’s Legion reminds me of America and its geopolitical rivals. Specifically the disparity in leadership between America’s lack of it and Russia’s Putin and his inner circle/council and China’s Xi Xinping and his inner circle/council
@Purpleisnotaflavour I can't agree with original comment or more. I love the quality of your editing. And I love the scripting of the videos. On par with the big guys who do fallout lore. I would enjoy seeing a bit more audio quality, but that's in the most constructive criticism point I can try to convey. Fantastic video I loved it 🎉
Thank you appreciate the kind words! Audio is definitely my biggest weakness, ive done video editing in the past, but have never mastered or recorded audio before this, bit of a work in progress lol. Make sure to stick around, my new video got delayed due to work but will be out this week!
@brendanhickey4955 I just think Bethesda wants things cleaner and more simple. Ncr are the good guys, that means legion lost at the damn , and Caesars brain tumor leaves the legion in shambles. Maybe I'm wrong but I think that's how it will go
This channel is kinda cool. The audio quality can use some work but considering you only have a hand full of videos it’s understandable. Keep uploading and honing your skills theres something special here
Thanks for checking the video out, audio quality is definitely something i struggle with. I've done tons of video editing in the past, but never audio recording and mastering. Appreciate the feedback!

Only criminal accomplices who profited from crime.
Fair point, they're just two different sides of the same coin. Same structure but a different way of implementing it. As for the Nipton Point, I could be wrong but i don't think the NCR was occupying it as it was still independantly run like Primm. So it makes sense that there wouldn't have been any troopers on the crosses. idk thougn, i could be misremembering the lore.
A lot of the Legion lore was cut from the game due to time constraints and console performance. But basically the Legion is set up like this: The Legion you see in-game is only the military part of the Legion. It's like if we judged the NCR based only on their military posts. Imagine if we only had a few locations and one of the major ones was that the NCR massacred the Great Khans at Bitter Springs. People would have worse opinions on the NCR. The Legion doesn't have civilian posts in New Vegas because it's a war zone. Any action you see the Legion do is based only on war, not peace. The main lore is that the Legion proper is only the army. And that the rest are semi-independent civilians residing in cities or towns inside their territory. According to Raul, the 4 corner states were a huge mess. You couldn't trade with a town 1 mile away because of raiders. The Legion changed that, pacifying the region of all bandits and hostile creatures. The civilians went from being under an enormous amount of stress and low standard of living to having enormous freedom (in comparison) and a large increase of SOL. The Legion set up their state so that civilian settlements give out resources in exchange for protection. Caesar only enslaves tribals, because they are not producers. They're basically running around half-naked so their only use in society is as warriors. More urbanized settlements can produce crops, so that's what Caesar has them do. I wouldn't doubt his cities manufacture a lot of things too. We see Centurion armor, for example, having bits of power armor and other types of armor welded onto it. The civilians don't have a say in how things run, but they never really did. If the Legion says to move everyone to another city, they move or get their head chopped off. This is the beginning of the pro-Legion argument. When you take Arcade "Big brain" Gannon to the Fort to meet Caesar he goes full soy boy. One of the responses you can give him is that he and you (the player) can't possibly understand what the 4 corners went through. Arcade grew up in relative safety and wealth. The 4 corners grew up in Mad Max x10. You can't really judge them unless you understand what they went through. Again, read through Raul's personal history. That's a small, small part of it.
Thanks appreciate it. I use NMC's texture pack part 1-3 Large, Realistic wasteland lighting and i use Classic Adobe Buildings to add new fallout 1 style sandstone buildings. I find it really cleans the game up without making it look like Call of Duty or something lol
Where did you get those beautiful maps of the territories? Also where did you learn about the Flagstaff capital, I've seen A LOT of fnv content and I had never heard of it in any shape (yes I could have done my own research, I have no excuses). Good good stuff
Thanks for checking the video out, appreciate it. got another one coming out at some point this week! Would love a game set in the mid-west like Chicago with NCR, Legion, Brotherhood and Enclave battling it out over control for it
That's the dream right there, i always liked the FNV mod "dog city" set in Denver because of the setting
First lemme say if ncr made it that far, legion is done lol. Create a new faction I think. Nonetheless I think Bethesda will kill the legion.
Or can you make a new Fallout game in a new setting with new danger and all. You knew just something new than FoNV 2 NEW NEW VEGAS Electric bogalou.

I hope the citizens/subjects of the Legion don't suffere to much. I know the trader at the Fort and Raul said it's safe under Legion land but still.
I think it just depends on who you are, if you were a criminal or tribal... well good luck. but if you are a trader you have it pretty easy
