Being in Central Wisconsin, I WISH we were even remotely close to getting bikes out. We just got slammed with ice on top of snow. LAME!!!!! That said, we also spend the bulk of the year with cold temps at least in the AM. Not uncommon to have sub 40 degree temps on my commute into June. I bit the bullet a few years ago and got heated gear and it's SO good! Otherwise, you hit it the other option perfect. Layers! Many layers.
Heated gear would definitely be in my collection if I lived up north. Without it layers are our friends. Here's to hoping you get some good riding weather up that way soon. We just recently got a good coating of ice here as well, glad to see it gone finally. Thanks for watching!
