I’m a contemporary art doll maker. I talk to myself when I start a doll. Then I talk to the doll once she has eyes. The problems start when I add the mouth. Some of the dolls are very sassy and particular about their wardrobe, hair style etc. Needless-to-say, they can be very loud with their opinions! 😉
Absolutely love this idea! And as to talking to yourself? I learned long ago that it's ok to talk to yourself, and even answer yourself. But when you go, "Huh?", that's a problem. 😄
Lol, I’m homebound with a painful disorder. Crafting has literally saved my life! And, yes, I have full on conversations with myself, everyday. Talking, and answering myself! Hahaha I tell my husband that I need someone intelligent to talk to 😂
Gina Ware I have similar problem as you. It’s odd, I used to have friends to talk with all the time. Since my illness began, they slowly went somewhere else. So yes I talk to anything or anyone that will listen to me. I live alone so no one hears me. And if they did it would go unnoticed. I live in a senior complex and everyone does it! Good to here you have survived with crafting too. On Bad days there is always You Tube! Blessings.

I found a ribbon storage idea that works great for me. I put a wooden dowel on 2 Command hooks and just put my ribbon on that..i put a small amount of tape on each spool so they don't unravel. I attached sets of these on the sides of my desk and even on the side of my cube organizer!
I have a lot of ribbon. My husband put up plastic rain gutters. They are fairly inexpensive. They come in 6 foot lengths. He just cut them in half. The end caps are expensive, however m we just used foam board on the ends. The ribbon fits perfectly. I even have some mounted under the work bench for ribbon I don’t use that much. I might even get a few more to adhere to the side of my bench for storage of odds and ends I use all the time.
I do talk to myself. Sometimes it just doesn't work out so good in my head so I say it out loud. So keep talking to yourself. It just means that your thinking out loud. Lol. At least that's what I tell people when they ask me....... Are you talking to yourself ? Nope just thinking out loud. Some just walk off shaking their heads. No we are not crazy. We're just human. Fabulous idea. I use a lazy Susan for my electric die cutter. That way I can sit it in the corner of my desk and once the dies are partway through I can turn it to retrieve the dies.
I had to comment! I talk to myself EVERYDAY ALL THE TIME not only when I am crafting! I also talk to my dogs and parrots. So I'm HAPPY to hear that someone else does too!
dollar store has metal mesh pencil holders and smaller holders that might fit in the empty corners. usually in black or gray.. great ideas As for talking to my self... Well Sometimes I'm the only one who listens and if I get into an argument with myself I win Either way! Right??? Love your videos.. I'm
I talk to myself all the time, at home, at work, in the car, anywhere and everywhere. I have found that it helps to work things out in my head, like my own brainstorming session. I have also found that sometimes it's the only way to have an intelligent conservation with someone.
My Momma told me that as mother's it's important to have conversations with yourself. When I asked why she told me it was so you would get an intelligent answer. Because with children we can ask the obvious, but they come up with some very interesting answers.

I talk to myself all the time, and to my tablet, plants, and anything else that won't talk back! Hubby and children argue, talk back or get sassy. Talking to my appliances, etc. is SO much more peaceful...even in the midst of a bad day! I talk to my animal babies too, but every once in awhile they get sassy too.
I absolutely love this! I did not realize that I could buy the base at the hardware store. I bought some plastic ones at bed bath and beyond. Later, I bought some at a thrift store that I am going to use to customize like you did.

Also, living alone most of my life, I can't stand silence and I love talking to my dog & cats, yell at the TV, etc. I think it keeps me sane.

Debbie E You could still put a handle on, by using the long metal tube that you would use for making a lamp fitting, and instead of putting the fitting for the bulb you could put a handle instead. At the bottom you would put the usual nut to tighten it xxx

I loved this hack! I have been puzzling over my craft paint supply for so long and now you found a way to sort and store it! I see this video is dated last August, but I’m just now seeing it. It’s so nice to be clutter free, but I like doing so many arts and crafts, which makes it hard. Sometimes I just want to pull out my hair, and maybe quit doing everything. This is GREAT! I am envisioning using it for spices in the kitchen using all Dollar Tree salt and paper shakers - hope they fit well like your paint bottles. Oh, fill the same S & P shakers with glitter and organizing in this caddy. How exciting! Have you ever used metal Fidget Spinners for turning plates, wood circles, etc. into a lazy Susan?

I'm assuming that you glue the bottoms down too. If you said, then I missed that part. I tried to make a tiered shelf out of the stove lid covers. Way to flimsy. Live & learn. tfs ♥️

I talk about and to the TV (shows, movies, news, UA-cam) like I'm commenting to a visitor or upset at someone that obviously can't hear me. Fun stuff! DT acrylic looking cordial cups are perfect for in between.

You could have run a cord or small hollor rod up the center so you could have put a handel on top. Also would have give extra support

I loved this hack! I have been puzzling over my craft paint supply for so long and now you found a way to sort and store it! I see this video is dated last August, but I’m just now seeing it. It’s so nice to be clutter free, but I like doing so many arts and crafts, which makes it hard. Sometimes I just want to pull out my hair, and maybe quit doing everything. But I will come back again to see your channel over and over to get myself organized. Thanks loads for this video. It’s a great start!

I hear ya, I do the same thing, I talk to my self, to the craft working on, the things I'm using and my dog as well.

This is GREAT! I am envisioning using it for spices in the kitchen using all Dollar Tree salt and paper shakers - hope they fit well like your paint bottles. Oh, fill the same S & P shakers with glitter and organizing in this caddy. How exciting! Have you ever used metal Fidget Spinners for turning plates, wood circles, etc. into a lazy Susan?
This was a heavy project.... so I'd use something sturdy! But those are a great idea for lighter jobs!!! :)

That lazy susan is pretty clever for the paint, I love it, and yes I talk to.myself at work, while being frustrated on the computer, or crafting, I also call myself by last name.lol example , : Come on Davis you know better than that, or what were you thinking Davis. Washi tapes, ink pads, stamps, glitter glues, if you get narrow bins you can sort pens and/or markers..... what do you have??

I'm assuming that you glue the bottoms down too. If you said, then I missed that part. I tried to make a tiered shelf out of the stove lid covers. Way to flimsy. Live & learn. tfs ♥️
Someone else suggested using the round cake pans.
I would leave the center open to put a cup or something in there and put your brushes and maybe rulers in the center. But super cute the way it is
I do not talk to myself. My husband does and I’m always asking him, “What did you say?” And he says “nothing.”
I talk to myself all the time. My grandfeline often gives me company. She knows all my secrets. Ha. I talk about and to the TV (shows, movies, news, UA-cam) like I'm commenting to a visitor or upset at someone that obviously can't hear me. Fun stuff!

That turned out amazing! I'm still wondering though, if you take out one paint bottle do the others in that section fall out? Cause it looks like the way they're wedged into the trays that they are holding the whole group in place.
It's tight.... but the others are staying put.
