I put my stickers in a binder with individual sheet protectors. My categories are letters- holidays & parties. Parties has stars, cupcakes or things for birthdays. Holidays are valentines day - easter - halloween. Christmas stuff is separate bin & put away.
This is how I separate my stickers and my stencils I have quite a few mini brass stencils I keep in a small photo keeper that works great! If I can find them in my mess I will share a photo...
At first I could not understand why you taped the folders together. But it was brilliant. Now the folders will not slide down under the other folders. I just love your ideas. Live this channel I share your videos with my girlfriend and sister.
Lol!!! I'm binge watching your videos trying to gain ideas and inspiration to organize my craft area. Out of the blue my son said, "I mean she is a fairy". I just had to laugh!!!
Just watched this for the second time, I have stickers, ephemera, stamps, papers, punches and larger tools that also need organizing. I can just see it, a construction dumpster on my small lawn, the living room window pulled out and all my extra things being thrown out the window hole into the dumpster. That could solve some of my issues, but the waste!! Guess I will keep plugging along.... Thanks again, Norrine for your top notch, creative ideas. Thanks for showing such a quick way to cover those folders. I can often find a large box of them at the Goodwill for $2. Angels surround you & bring you and the girls peace & safety! Thank you, Angels, always!
I do something similar but on a much smaller scale. I make little folders out of cheap card stock to put my extra die cuts in, such as flowers, tags, snowflakes, hearts, stars, etc. this way if I need something, I know right where to go. I have sides on my folders so nothing falls out. So many great ideas here, thank you.
I love using wrapping paper, I even use it on cards 😊 I’m trying to remember all the ways I’ve stored stickers over the years. I started with peel off sticker storage books, then I moved to a small binder with pockets. Then I had a spinning shoe holder with curtain clips which I also had stamps on. I moved onto a small tote from the pound shop with 7 inch vinyls album sleeves for each category and now I have a mixture between a drawer for full sheets/boarders/alphas and mostly used sheets I cut the few left off the sheet and chuck them in with my ephemera. I put all the ephemera in a photo box by colour. This last idea seems the most space efficient but I really like your idea!
Bravo! I store my stickers using 4 sections: 1-Alphabets/ letters/ Sentiments, 2- themes (alphabetized), 3- calendar holidays, and 4-colors. Beautiful box!
Love this idea, I use a magazine file box on its back with my stickers and themed papers in so I can flip through to select what I need as I don’t need lids to keep things clean plus I’m too lazy to open them and I forget what I have if put out of sight. That way I constantly flip through and reminds me what I already have and then use it.
Tuesday Morning (if you have one in your area) also has an amazing selection of storage boxes - all shapes and sizes and décor. I love Tuesday Morning. Check the clearance section in the back of the store as well.
That’s a great idea! I was thinking about getting an an accordion file folder, but I like your idea better because you can customize it too your style! 👏👏👏😆
I absolutely love your project so pretty and so creative. I really believe that many times these make the best organizers is the are the ones that are handmade. I got to share an idea this is not in relation to what you're doing but it happened to make me sick because of file folders. Yesterday, I cleaned out to file cabinets. When I went to go put the folders back in I used containers to help those file folders stand up in the file cabinet. To anybody who reads this WOWWWWW... What an amazing difference so anybody who struggles with trying to get those file folders to stand up try using containers. Love your video thanks again for sharing🙂
This is genius! I have stored my stickers in page protectors in a binder for years now. The problem is, I don't have them grouped by category. Yes, by going through the whole binder, I am reminded of what I have, but I tend not to use stickers because--yep, I have to go through the whole binder! I also have other sticker sheets (especially alphas) that I store elsewhere. So I will definitely see if I can put together a system like you demonstrated. Just have to find The Perfect Place to keep it--the horizontal surfaces in my craft space are pretty darn full! Thank you so much for sharing this, and have a wonderful day! :)
I've been looking for pretty file folders for awhile and haven't been able to find much within my budget. This looks like a great way to make my own. One thing I would have done different is to put the fold of the paper over the joint between the file folders. Inside each folder would be 2 different designs then and the joint between the paper is at the bottom inside the folder where you wouldn't see it. I do like the washi tape along the top edge, though. I might still add that. :)
Let me know how your way goes!!! I am more motivated to use things if I love how they look... I REALLY love how this looks!!!! May make another for my bills!
Norrine!!! This is fabulous!! Beautiful, functional, and so easy! I HAVE A DISASTER! I HATE MY SYSTEM! I'm going to make one (or five 😂) of these for several different things in my craft room. I'll show you my before and after. You'll appreciate how much you helped me with this dilemma!!! ❣️ I use wrapping paper for lots of stuff, too. Including embellishments, backgrounds, and photo mats on my scrapbook pages. Paper from opened gifts is optimal for these. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity. ❤️
So funny... I just got done measuring some boards so that we could get some more for our bed .." slats" as you would call them and lo and behold we almost have the same tape measure... I tried using a cheaper one before that .. it was awful... just like the tape you mentioned ..good tools do make a difference....like the good tape measure(night and day...LOVE the Stanley) does make a difference I LOVE this sticker storage idea!😀
Hello from Dallas. I was doing so good until I started buying Fall decor items. I’m a mess again, along with my guest room, kitchen and breakfast nook table for things that need to be returned. Yikes. I don’t do well in chaotic places. I’m retired and look to have things in their place. You have been so helpful. After Christmas, I’m going to add the handles on my storage boxes like you have. I love the styling of your backdrop!
This is a cute idea, but I’m even lazier than you. I would get file folders that are on clearance in the color or style I want and not mess with the paper applying step.
Covering the folders with pretty wrapping paper brings this storage to such a pretty and crafty level. I could listen and learn from your channel all day. Love your channel!
Wow! Such a great idea! It looks so nice! I will be trying this. I noticed you using the Xacto knife to do your cutting. Something I learned on Martha Stewart is; when cutting wrapping paper to size crease the paper where you measure to fit then use a table knife that is blunt, not serrated or sharp, to cut the crease. It works great.
@@BbGun-lw5vi After you measure the wrapping paper to fit the package crease the wrapping paper. It is best to lay the paper flat on a table with the crease facing towards you. Then put the table knife between the creased paper and cut . I hope that explains it better. Please let me know.
Great idea, you are wonderful, sweet person, with great ideas,I love your videos,so many ideas, wish I was as smart and creative as you,and making on your own,God Bless
I am a multicrafter....I have yarn, fabric and embroidery/cross stitch supplies. I have the old Martha Stewart containers in 4 sizes. I end up constantly switching items in containers....usually according to projects. Sometimes I have more yarn. At others, I have more fabric. So sometimes, it is hard to stay organized. I seem to need to reorganize every 3 to 6 months, depending on what I am working on or finish.....then there are UFO's. I do try to finish up little things.....I am not sure if I am organizing as well as can be expected or if there is a better way.
I'd organize one more time.... and then have a traveling basket for current projects. That way you can pull out what you are using, but still have it's 'home' to put it away when you are done.
Oh I really like this idea I do a lot of fussy cutting images for magazines and different things and this would be a great way to sort them. It would make it a lot easier to find what I'm looking for. And I just need boxes!!! 🍂💛🍁🧡🍂
What a fantastic idea. I may be in need of something like that, not sure yet. I had to move all my crafting items out of my newly done room because me son just move back home. But i should be getting a SHE SHED. thank you for all the wonderful ideas.
I don’t know if you’ll get this message because it’s in a program that was in 19 2019 but I like everything you do and I was just trying to figure out how to put my cards together and I think that would be so handy and so many other things in my craft room that need that kind of storage so thank you very much
That is very cool.... Great tips also. I have my stickers in clear plastic containers like what wooden stamps come in... For example, in my flower drawer I have containers for flat flower stickers and one for bulky stickers etc. I love your videos

I did this about a year ago & it works perfectly for me! I still have a filing cabinet in the corner of my office/craft area where I put my kids' papers during the school year. (A quick & out of sight way to store during the dizzy busy school year!) At the end of each year I go back & keep the best of the best to scrapbook & toss the rest. One drawer is dedicated with hanging folders for stickers only. (We use a lot of stickers!) My categories are: Events/travel w/ a subfolder of birthdays--lots of birthday stickers! Good morning. I love your videos. I have never been an organized person but you are turning me into one. We are trying to sell our house so am getting excited to get a new hose and organizing it. I think the worst place I have now is my spices. They are shoved in a large plastic container so when I need something I have to take everything out. I'll bet you can!
I think this would work well for paper and vinyl scraps too. Going to give it a try if I can find a nice box that is the right size.
This is genius.
Totally doing this when I get a container
this is better than those accordian folders that cut your fingers and are too tight. and yours is so pretty and fun!
