By the Way; their blue liveries only lasted for one episode.
I would have to agree with you about Bill and Ben's blue liveries, because sometime after that episode, they were repainted back in their usual yellow liveries. The episode where they got painted blue is titled "Bill or Ben?".

Bill and Ben's blue livery only appeared in one episode, and even then, they were repainted back to their normal colors soon after.

Exactly. I was gonna bring that up. It wasn't permanent. I bet Sir Topham Hatt changed it back for various unknown reasons.

What is it about these two that are so enjoyable? Their multiple themes are all ridiculously catchy, the way that their whistles are the same but toned differently is strangely satisfying to hear, the way they interacted both with each other and the other engines was always funny but not 24/7 baby time squabbling, and they're a good example of how to make characters be tricksters without turning them into total comedy relief.
LOL, blue Bill and Ben? Seriously? This color is goo for Edward not those two. I prefer then yellow like it was in the old good model series :)
I defiantly prefer the yellow/ orange livery but I think the blue on bill and Ben look really nice, I kind of hope Bachmann makes a blue version of them

I don’t know how but in season 2 there was already twins which was donald and Douglas and they are classic characters and bill and Ben are as well and they are amazing

I think yellow suits them better as it fits with their mischievous personas, dark blue just seems like a more proud and respectable engine which these two really aren’t and for the better
But they are yellow in later seasons and the blue was for one episode
Atleast u can tell who they are because of their whistle now just imagine if they have the same whistle that will be a nightmare

The blue livery wasn’t permanent, it was just a thing in an episode, kind of like how James had the bee livery/Gordon getting streamlined in the great race

I think there are too many blue engines on Sodor already, they should have kept the yellow.

I don’t think you noticed, but in that season 2 BTS image you can kind of see them wearing builder’s plates on their coal bunkers and I think they were in one or two episodes

Are there more than me who notice the small round spot on Bill and Ben's coal boxes? There is thus one small, dark yellow, round spot, or one large dot on each of the four coal boxes (each engine has two each). I think these spots are supposed to be numbers, just blurred.
How about history of devious deseil or boco get another deseil engine off the check list

I love both yellow and blue but I prefer the yellow ones because they were my first take along engines and as a kid I played a lot with them
They would’ve had they’re numbers painted over for the Diseisel episode for the same reason as the nameplates being removable.

bill and ben were gonna appear in thomas to the rescue (series 8 episode) but they were cut (they had series 8 models)
And now RapidoTrains UK will make the original in OO gauge RTR models too :)
Bill and Ben were painted back to Sodor Yellow in CGI, although I do really like they're models much better
Seeing Bill and Ben painted blue feels just so....wrong. Call me biased as well, but I will always prefer their yellow paint.
Not a big fan of the red wheels on Bill and Ben I prefer the black wheels better because the red Wheels make them stand out
Its always fascinating to see the stories of the engines. I personally prefer Bill and Ben's yellow livery, it made them stand out, whereas the blue is used a lot on the NWR. Though it does look pretty cool.
I think I heard somewhere that the numbers that the models were built with fell off and were lost during shipment from the factory that built the models to the film studio, and they probably couldn’t find them or didn’t have time to make new ones, so they just kept them numberless.

So I love the old style paint job but you cant see the Brendam Bay logo very well on the front because it blends with the yellow. So there is a advantage to giving them blue but I miss the old yellow.
