    We finally got our telluride ex premium we ordered 4 months ago and we love it. It's a little confusing set up but finally getting it programmed. I would definitely recommend the telluride to anyone looking for an suv with plenty of room but not to big. I would give it 5 stars!!!!

      For the last several vehicles I've purchased, I email various dealerships the details of what I'm looking to do (vehicle they have that I want, trade info, finance terms, etc) and go with the best one. I got my EV6 from King Kia in Gaithersburg, MD. They seem to have inventory regularly. I worked with a manager there named Nan.

    nice video! What happens if you don't touch the steering wheel after all those alarms are singing? does the car assume that you hare unable to drive and will it stop the car at the lateral of the road?

    • @TechnicallyJeff
      @TechnicallyJeff  2 роки тому

      It's my understanding it will just disable the lane centering since cruise isn't set. If cruise it set, I have heard it will slow the car to a stop. Haven't tested that though.

    I have the RWD WIND. $4,000 OVER list ($52K) and NO HOMELINK (chips I am told) and no heated steering wheel. I wanted the Tech trim but they didn't have one anyway. 310 mile range is actually more like 280 miles.

      Basicly everything like the GT line model, exept the trim and audio.

      Do you have auto dimming mirror? swapping to one with Homelink should be pretty cheap, pretty much any Hyundai/Kia version should do it. Look for one on ebay. It is a bit more complicated if you do NOT have auto dimming mirror - then you will have to tap into power supply coming to the overhead OR tap it in the fuse box and route the wire to the mirror. BUT in this case, you should be able to get any mirror that fits your car's mirror adaptor which many companies share. I put homelink mirror in my wife's Rogue and I picked up the mirror from Ebay for like $25 and just needed to tap into a 12v and ground which was conveniently at near the overhead console.

    This isn’t as good as FSD on a Tesla, naturally. But I do find it comparable to the autopilot in my Model 3.
    I prefer it in a weird way. I don’t need to babysit the steering wheel as much and it’s easier to engage and disengage. The biggest negative is that it only works over 40 mph. So local roads are basically a no go.

    • @TechnicallyJeff
      @TechnicallyJeff  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah I'm definitely a fan. I don't take my hand off the wheel much and it does a great job on the highway keeping me in my lane. And I LOVE that cruise doesn't have to be set.

    • @DerekDavis213
      @DerekDavis213 2 роки тому +1

      FSD on Tesla is *years* *late* and still not working as promised. So don't be too impressed with Elon Musk's hype and bs.

      @@TechnicallyJeff Tesla promised Full Self Driving, 1000's of miles cross-country, and with no input from the driver. In 2022, FSD is nowhere even close to that! A senior Tesla software engineer even admitted that recently.
      Are you familiar with the Tesla Summon function? The car will come to you, from a parking lot. Summon has FAILED many times when tested. And the car just has to slowly drive thru a parking lot of *stationary* *cars* . If the Tesla can't handle that relatively simple task, what hope is there for FSD on crowded freeways and urban gridlock?
      Would you trust the *LIVES* of your family with FSD, if it is only 'pretty good'? Of course not!
      Anyone with experience in engineering or programming knows that Full Self Driving is an *enormously* difficult task. And Tesla removed the radar and lidar sensors (to save money?), which makes FSD practically blind.
      Musk's lies and hype put him on the level of a con-man or grifter. And of course his current behavior with the Twitter buyout is going to cause irreversible damage to his reputation, and HUGE financial penalties too.

    Just bought a 2023 ev6 Wind and Lane Centering is terrible. Even holding the steering wheel on a straight highway, it will slowly creep to the right then shift to the left and start oscillating until it takes the car out of the lane - all while I have the steering wheel pointed straight ahead. It is actually dangerous. Very disappointing.

    I am the owner of ev6 gt-line. I often drive on the Freeway and I can say with confidence that this car is dangerous! HANDS-FREE may turn off without warning, may turn off when there is a big bend in the road, may swerve in the lane! The car can also brake sharply when changing lanes at speed! But it won’t brake if a car hits you! My opinion is that this machine is trying to kill you!

    • @TechnicallyJeff
      @TechnicallyJeff  9 годин тому

      Hands free isn't actually a feature. It just lets you take your hands off the wheel for short times. You should drive with your hands on the wheel. It also does notify you if your hands are not on the wheel. There is a beep. If your hands are on the wheel it doesn't beep because you're touching the wheel. As for braking, are you referring to when you try to change lanes as you're quickly approaching a car? It sounds like the auto emergency braking kicking in.

      Helps tremendously if you need to take your hands off the wheel for something. I find it handy when eating. I don't have to drive with my knees lol. And with it going 1 min+ without intervention and all you need to do is touch the wheel to restart the timer, it effectively works for a long time.
