I have had so many of those moments where I am feeling all “dippity doo” in my heels and my glass of wine, feeling all Audrey Hepburn to then spill my shrimp cocktail on my chest! I feel your pain! And yes, Bambi has always disturbed me! The lasagne looks fabulous and love that you made the sauce with just whole tomatoes and paste. Sooo much easier and not watery at all! Thanks for another great video !

Thank you so much for showing how to use no-boil lasagna pasta. I have been very wary of using this kind of pasta because I had never actually seen them used in front of me. Now I feel much more reassured and I feel comfortable enough to use them myself!

I love your channel and love the dishes!! What a delight!! I just made the lasagna and it was literally the best lasagna I ever ate. I added lemon and lemon zest to the ricotta and used just Neese’s sausage (from North Carolina) and buttered the noodles with a brown butter sage and drizzled the top with it too. I love how you keep it casual,
making it seem so easy and fun to make special things. :)

Another lasagna noodle tip shared with me years ago by the longtime cook at the National Cathedral in Washington: you don't have to pre-cook regular noodles if you prepare the lasagna the night before you cook it. They simply soften up in the dish and are ready to go! I do it that way all the time. Perfect!

My grandma told me not to cover the sauce if you leave the seeds in the tomatoes. She had a special tomato mashing sieve to remove the seeds and pithy matter. She was a legit off the boat Italian and a slamming cook.

Lasagna is the absolute best food out there. Also, having recently discovered a HORRIBLE Basil allergy I can never order it anywhere - but I did find out oregano and mint make for beautiful substitutes! Great recipe as always Randy.

I never ever had Lasagna with Ricotta instead of the traditional Bechamel sauce but yours looks so delicious and inviting that I definitely will give it a try over the weekend. So thanks for sharing that recipe.

Sometimes the most obvious tips are genius.... “Meat Sauce for lasagna should be on the dry side.” I never could figure out why my lasagna was so runny, and in the future I will put my meat sauce in a colander before I start layering. I also loved your rendition of “Seltzer Boy.” It brought back memories of being five or six years old and listening to my parents play that Alan Sherman record in our living room in Brooklyn!

I’ve got a bottle of cab, a fresh oniony salad, and a loaf of garlic bread. I’d be right over, but, well, I like to stay here. So since you made it so easy, I’ll just make the lasagne myself and play with the dogs while it bakes.

Can't begin to tell you how much my wife and I LOVE your show!!!!! So, each week I help out by making dinner once or twice, ...easy stuff, and the other day my wife says,... "next week is lasagna" (as a joke) ...BUT , I want to do it as a surprise! Question: sugar is listed on the ingredients list, and I'm assuming that goes in the meat sauce to temper the acid? Also, the video shows 2 - 28oz cans of tomatoes (one w/ juice, one without) and a can and 1/2 of paste. The ingredients show 1 28oz can tomatoes, then paste, then sauce? My assumption is to follow the video in this regard? THANKS!! CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE VIDEOS!

Your viewers must be the most sophisticated evveeerrrr. Not one comment from ethnic chauvinists saying you’re doing it wrong, or in my country we make it with.... But, no one could fault this recipe! Yowza. P.s., me English gran had those basins and cooked tons of delish goodies like roasts, bread and butter pudding, steak and erster pie, and it all looked cute. Can you tell me please what they’re called so I can search them online? At the moment I’m thinking pudding basin but that’s a round thingy I think.. Anyway, thank you for sharing this. It’l be put on my list of things to make. Cheers, Colin.
