They took the ability to fade out the loop with the expression pedal. Kept me from buying. Also i didnt care for the smaller expression pedal on the larger sized pedal.
However the addition of the tera echo is woth thebprice of this pedal by itself.
You dont need both so i just stuck with the me 70 it is a boss of a pedal.

As a matter of fact the flat finish with
non-sparkle paint reduces unwanted reflection and glare. Which is practical & functional.
You can even see the difference on this video. The ME70 is relecting the overhead light and the ME80 is not.

I think they've chosen plastic pedal and other cheap stuff to compensate the increase in weight

Greetings from England. Thanks for the video. It comes at a great time for me as I am deciding which one I want to buy right now. I am leaning toward the 80 but i do like to use a couple of my other single pedals so would I be able to use them in conjunction with one of these multi's, if anyone could let me know I would really appreciate it.
I have now subscribed to your channel after finding you so I look forward to viewing your older one's and those to come.
PS. More of your little dog please, looks like my Milly, she also a Yorkie.

Hi Robert, thx for the comment. Yes you can use other pedals together with a MFX unit just as any other pedal chain (just think of the MFX unit as one really big pedal!) I run the MFX unit through the Effects Loop of my amp, using it primarily for Delay, Chorus and "time/modulation" type FXs. For Overdrive-type pedals I run those straight from my guitar cable into the front input of my amp to push the pre-amp. I don't really use the OD pedals on the MFX unit.
PS: You can see my Yorkie and my Irish Wolfhound in my chef review of the Stevens Stovetop Grill: ua-cam.com/video/PhfcQSEB0Oc/v-deo.html
      Cheers! Chumley

Thanks for that. I usually go straight into the amp but I will follow your advice. That way I can keep my new Bogner pedal plugged in at all times.
Love your dogs by the way. More videos when you can. Guitars & Food does it get any better.

Does the ME 80 still allow for custom patches to be assigned to ear button?

Used the me 70 for yrs loved it. The me 80 sounds great but didn't have the ez tone for saving manual presets. I loved that feature and used it all the time on me 70. Really disappointed it was not on the 80.

HEY THIS IS HELPING ME A LOT, Just bough the Me-80 but I'm getting the chance to make a change for the me-70. So that was your first impression, at the end if you had to pick one of both to keep which will you choose?

Hi! I ended up keeping the ME-80 selling the ME-70. They are both excellent MFX units, and as I'd said I preferred the smaller size and tighter build of the ME-70, but the enhanced functionality of the ME-80 (8 footswitches plus new/expanded FX) really does offer more flexibility and a broader array of sonic possibilities (even if the ME-80 is a bit like having a small aircraft carrier under your feet!) Good luck!

Thank you so much, just purchased it today thanks to your advice. A homie was selling me the 70 for a good price and it was almost brand new but the black friday gave me a good deal for the 80. Thanks man!
