I have straight hair locks and they are real hard at first. Don’t give up guys it will come through to your liking with time. Appreciate you Gunther for coming out with yet another banger!!!❤
I initially did the two strand twist method and it was okay but I messed up and my hair just looked awful afterwards but I restarted and I’m 2 months in and I did the coils method and my hair looks nice and healthy.Plus I see more of the growth and like they look like dreadlocs even if they Aren’t fully matured🥴😁
Two strand twist and you can leave them in they will loc up. Or you can untwist them and let both strands loc that way it all depends on how skinny you want them
I once had locs but my hair was becoming stiff and untwisted them and got a hair cut. Now my hair is right below my eyes and I have type 4a hair so I don't know how short it will be if I get it twisted because of shrinkage
I have between 2c and 3a, 3a after showering and air dry, 2c if I brush after drying. Just using tingle shampoo or lionlocks shampoo bar. It's been a couple days and my hair is already locking freeformed. Personally though, I wanted to get instant locs with crochet needle. I feel like with how poofy, frizzy, fine, and curly my hair is it will lock and mature perfectly with crochet method but I don't like the twist and rip method. I do like the backcomb method, I just don't want to lose as much length as my hair is well over 20 inches when stretched out or straightened. My hair is reddish-brown though and I am nervous it will make my locs look thin in between. Whats the best way to prevent the traction alopecia though? I feel that because of how fine my hair is it will be more susceptible to it and I'm super nervous because this is a permanent choice for me. I don't EVER want to go back after getting my locs, for me this will be for life, I feel like the only way my hair will grow longer and healthier is if I lock it. I lose so much hair having to brush it all the time.
Molds are microscopic organisms - so not always visible. 🦠. They help to breakdown (or decompose) plant and animal matter. Molds thrive in places where organic matter (i.e. dead hair, skin cells, oil, bacteria) is decomposing...or anywhere that moisture, oxygen, and organic material are all present. Whenever molds are disturbed, they release tiny cells called spores into the surrounding air. So pulling apart, washing dreads or light shaking will spread the spores. Mold in the can be inhaled into the lungs and prolonged exposure isn’t healthy. 😷. Using a dryer is a good preventative measure, but it’s not guaranteed to prevent mold.
Wasgood bro I have curly hair and got skinny locs a few months ago and I’m noticing as they’re maturing they’re getting skinnier and skinnier I don’t want them to get really long and start falling off how can I keep that from happening without without combining them I want to keep the skinny look

bro, I have about 4c to 4b hair & it's shoulder length, can I do the 2 strand twists immediately after I lock my hair with the crochet hook?
What's up Gunther. I already have two strand twists, but I want to know how to get dreads like yours. Are there any tips?

It'll go to the middle of ur forehead
i've had 2 sets of locks so far
I want to start my locs by rope twist and then crochet the twist out, but I’m afraid they might come out too skinny
Does it take a long time making dreadlocks?
