    • @comboreset
      @comboreset 3 роки тому +2

      you can comb out some of your root hair and section them into different parts and you would just retwist with those new parts as usual with gel, it might be difficult if your dreads are matured already or u just got a fresh retwist, it would be easier if you let your hair grow out a lil more. if you don't have noticeable parts already you can try separating some of your locs into skinnier locs to make more parts, gunther actually made a video on that recently

    Hi Gunther! I need some help. When i got my locks(a few weeks ago) my locks were soft, and frizzy so i decided im going to crochet them, ignoring the fact that it will get better by itself. And i think i over do it, because my locks are very hard and stiff, and shrank a lot in width. I think the shrinkage is normal, but i dont want to kill the process by thightening my hair up so much that it cant do its thing. Is there anything i can do do get my locks a little bit looser? Or i should just wait what my hair going to do?

      You leave the hair alone and let it lock up naturally. It'll happen, with time, your hair is just trying to figure out what your doing with it, but it'll happen 😌 The frizz that will come will also help with the thickness of your loc as it will grow over the braid pattern over time, helping with the dread look 👍🏾So have fun on your journey! You might not be able to tell, but I have five locs under my fro and they've locked up quickly with water, oil, and patience 😁

    Gunther does great work, but if I’m honest it makes me sad that patience is a lost commodity and everything seems to be about the shortest way to success. Dreads to me are supposed to be about the journey, but I understand that for some people it’s nothing more than a hairstyle. Just makes me sad to know that the future generations aren’t going to hold anything in reverence and everything is going to be solely about trends and the fastest route to the finish line.
