Guys, be real. The loudest, most obvious and brutal take down can be the most stealthiest. You guys work at the Oxbox office, and should know. Jane breaks Mikes legs, nope, I didn't see anything and Mike must of jumped off the building. Andy thought he saw something and was planning going to the police. Hey look at the smoke and ashes and Andy suddenly disappear for no reason, even though there's a camera train on him. For everyone else, you didn't see anything, or it might happen to you too.

The assassin’s massive number of belts is, in my head, the secret way they survive massive falls and intense forces on their hands and arms that should at least dislocate a shoulder. My head canon is that the belts are a sort of leather exoskeleton, or at least a reinforcement device, to prevent their bodies from being literally torn limb from limb by the strain caused by falling 20 feet before catching yourself on a ledge by your hands and suffering a load equivalent to hundreds of pounds on your arms.

I've learnt to cheese it by arranging multiple layers of traps and trips around suitable choke-point terrain before engaging dangerous machines or large groups. Most of the time they're aware of the "mine fields" laid down, and will avoid them thus keeping their distance away from me. I can easily shoot away at them. If they stagger back too far away, I'd just run outside my "fortress" to kite them back into range.

I was just thinking that, which is unfortunate because the *ACTUAL* silent strike attack is still SUPER FREAKING LOUD, especially when you destroy a machine in one hit and it *friggin explodes everywhere*. Its not something you can mistime, since the Silent Strike is a straight up animated attack that you have no control over.

for the horizon zero dawn segment half of those attacks aren't even the "silent strike" skill. to activate silent strike you press R1, aloy slides on the ground next to the machine, and does a single, powerful thrust to the machines core, which "kills" it. half of the clips that you used in your video are of the player pressing R2, which is a heavy attack and does not activate the silent strike skill. Don't get me wrong, the stealth kills on machines are no where near quiet , but I hate how you misrepresent the game by not even bothering to get clips that show the proper skill in question.

Good video as usual, but most of the Horizon Zero Dawn clips didn't even feature Aloy using the silent strike skill. Instead, most of those clips were of her using a light or heavy attack . It was a mistake to say that you can miss with this skill, because when you execute the silent strike skill it never misses. Depending on the size of the machine it may not be a one hit kill, but it never misses.

Aerial takedowns in Assassin's Creed aren't so much "faith and trust in gravity", it's more faith and trust that jumping your brittle and snappable bones ten metres onto someone else, who is a pile of snappable and brittle bones with most of the pointy bits facing up, won't break and leave you rolling on the ground clutching your shattered femur, with their ribs poking through yours.

10:17 I do have an explanation for the scream silencing. While very hard or impossible to execute in an air assassination, the most skilled Assassins use the width of the Hidden Blade to completely obstruct the airways when puncturing the neck. Blowing the mouth with the other hand as also facilitates the acquisition of the proper angle.

In Dishonored 2, if you take the head off of a clockwork soldier and then perform a drop assassination (doing that on a non-headless soldier takes the head off instead of killing it) technically counts as stealth, in that it does not raise your detection counter, even though the result is that the thing flails around violently before EXPLODING, which is sure to attract, if not every single officer of the Grand Guard of Karnaca, then at LEAST the ones in Jindosh's mansion

Was looking for this comment lol. They were doing normal strikes throughout the whole segment, not silent strikes. 6:55 was a major fail lmao. I guess outsidexbox doesn't understand ps4 buttons.

RIGHT!? I was looking for this comment too!!! Omg! You're supposed to press R1 to silent strike. Heavy strikes dont even enter into it. Bless you Ellen you're adorable, but yeah...you got it wrong 🤷‍♂️

    aww...
Still no Reaper stealth shot from XCOM 2 War of the Chosen? The shot where you simply just shoot a dude with a Dragunov rifle, and then his friends right next to him simply can't figure out where you are? You can even upgrade the ability, making it so any kill made with the Dragunov in stealth have 0% chance to reveal the Reaper

Luke, I think it's time we sit down and talk to you about the great Hamster Wheel in the sky... also about your goldfish.

What I wouldn't give for another chance to play Siphon filter again! Such an underrated game.

What really ruins a stealth kill is when everyone stands around shouting Crit, Crit, Crit, Crit

For the eldritch take down thing at the end, what if the being was powerful enough to make other enemies not even see it's magic, or hear the bones beak until after the enemy was dead?

If you guys do another one of these (which I personally believe you should), you've got to remember to include some of Spider-Man Noir's takedowns from Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. Some of them are actually stealthy, but most are kind of ridiculous.

The flaw here in both thus and tge original video is that "stealth" is being confused for "covert". Stealth means without resistance(i.e. from the target). Covert means without raising suspicion. All these examples across both videos are indeed STEALTH. They are mostly not covert, even though the games treat them as such. Example being a Stealth Bomber can blow up a target without the target seeing it coming, but people will be instantly aware it happened.
