Also I want to share that certain videos of this channel had promoted the intake of satvik food to cure ailments and for healthier life, that also included Rheumatoid arthritis. We blindly followed their routine as at that time my mother was diagnosed with RA factor and was quite painful for her. The diet limited the protein intake and instead of improvement, her health deteriorated very badly. Her weight reduced drastically and it's been 6-7 months still we're struggling to make a her gain weight.

What you eat can’t determine your character. Our family is a pure vegetarian family. I have friends who are good and softer than me but they are non vegetarians.
So take food what is tradition for your family. Food can’t make you good or bad. Ultimately all food we consume will be broken into carbs, fats and proteins. So it can’t change our character.

Dear lady, you should understand dangers of using rock salt too-
It has high chloride content which can lead to hyperchloremia.
It has no iodine which means iodine deficiency and onset of health issues.
Fatigue, muscle weakness, high acidity, ulcer, osteoarthritis, kidney issues & high BP are also associated.
In some samples, even toxic heavy metals have also been found.
In fact, there are many forms of rock salts which are produced locally without proper refining process.
Nevertheless, a few points as I mentioned above also apply to refined salts however to a far less extent.
Therefore, consumption of refined salt in moderation is still safer than raw rock salts.
But yes, less refined Himalayan Pink Salt is a better choice over many other forms of rock salts.
Lady, seems like you're boycotting everything by means of your videos.
Your conjecture about every edible thing is not acceptable as most of the things are highly impractical for people given the socio-economic conditions.
You're interdicting everything putting a big question mark against the food industries & market. This spree of yours will land you into trouble someday.

Using rock salt for too long can cause hyperthyroidism....having iodised is important

  • @anushkasawant7869
    @anushkasawant7869 2 години тому

Some regions do not have adequate iodine in their soil which is required for the vegetables to have an adequate amount of iodine in them. To ensure people don’t suffer from hypothyroidism irrespective of where they live in India, the government and healthcare fraternity (doctors) advise using iodinated salt. This should be strictly incorporated in your diet, of course salt should be consumed in moderation which is ideally less than 5 grams per day…but whenever consumed it must contain iodine. No compromise on that. At all.

Not everyone can afford to eat enough green leafy vegetables to meet their day to day iodine requirement , that's why govt of India came with this initiative for iodised salt so that the amount of iodine requirement is met even if you consume the salt in lower or higher quantities ( to avoid the goitre😢 ) ... But I have to agree with your fact that your salt consumption shouldn't be more than 5g a day and if you're hypertensive then the consumption should be reduced to upto 2 g a day and I think rock salt is the best bcoz we use it for everything And I'm still feeling good.

We use salt in every dish so no need to worry about iodine intake... But if we will completely depend on natural iodine food sources then we have to consistently add these in our foods.. And also we don't know how much iodine we are required and how much vegetables we should eat according to requirement.

Sea salt, iodised salt ( both are same only) vs rock salt there may be benefits..but read closely. *May*
Low sodium salt is better option atleast 30% better than rock salt

Sorry but rock salt doesn't contain Iodine so completely replacing table salt with sendha namak may raise your risk of iodine deficiency. You should likewise be sure to consume rock salt in moderation. You should check before delivering things as you are a respected one and my favourite too😁

How many times in a week do we consume leafy vegetables in a great amount and in their semi cooked form ? Answer is less to none. So, just by consuming rock salt, we are depriving ourselves of iodine, and since rock salt is less saltier to iodized one, people consume it in excess and thus develop other issues as well. So, the mantra is moderation, i.e. consuming iodized salt in a controlled quantity.

Himalayan salt (Sendha namak) and the results were shocking because the normal iodised salt contained 38000 mg Sodium/1000 gm of Salt but the Sendha namak has 37400 which is barely 400 mg less than your normal salt. So it's basically a marketing gimmick.
