🔴 REVISED MINERAL ANALYSIS COMPARISON CHART
In the video regarding Redmond's Real Salt, I noted zero for Calcium, Magnesium & Potassium. Regrettably, I missed this vital information in the mineral analysis.
➡️HERE IS THE CORRECTED CHART: bit.ly/3qUMTGy

🟢 Note Regarding the Celtic Sea Salt Mineral Analysis:
The mineral analysis used in this video for Celtic Sea Salt was from a report 15+ years old. The analysis that is now provided on the website & packaging has differing values. The company website says they test for over 70 elements and get about 60 back in readings. There is no reason to doubt this. However, the current analysis given does not provide the full spectrum for viewing, only partial. Additionally, the values are presented in percentages without a given serving size. Due to these information gaps, I chose to use the complete, older analysis in the video comparison. Is the older analysis irrelevant? I do not believe so. But as stated in the video, the values for all 3 salts are a generalization since it is near impossible to have the exact same values for each shaker of salt. Natural products have natural occurring variances. The bottom line is this, all the salts covered in the video have a broad spectrum of trace minerals and elements that meet or exceed 60. If you wish to crack the case with your own research between the new and older spectral analyses, the pleasure can be all yours!

Greetings from Pakistan. Himalayan salt also comes in black, white and the rarest is brown/copper coloured. Alexander the Great's horse licked the rocks around Khewra Salt Mines, so it has been around a long time. There is also an asthma treatment centre inside the mines as the salty air has healing benefits for asthmatics.
Can you please tell me about lead, mercury and arsenic in the pink salt? I have used it for years and love it, but I am getting people telling me it's contaminated. I would like to dispell these rumors. Australia has told their citizens that it shouldn't be used.
@@joyful_tanya I would not trust what your 'government' or mainstream media has to say about anything. The same goes for me here in the US and pretty much every other place in the world. This is because our 'governments' do not want us to be healthy.
@@joyful_tanya I have never heard such things and I have not seen any laboratory tests - but I think it would be a very worthwhile undertaking. I have visited the Khewra Salt Mines where the pink salt comes from and it is very pure. There are certainly no microplastics or modern contaminants in it. A small railway takes workers and visitors 1 km inside the mountain which is amazingly entirely salt. Literally everything is salt and like marble it has patterns - some is pink, some black, some white and a tiny amount amber. It certainly looks pure. Inside the mountain is a clinic for asthmatic patients and there are several bathing ponds for different types of healing. It is quite massive. This is not the only salt mountain as it is part of The Salt Ranges which has salt everywhere. I have hiked in other mountains a long way away and also found high salt content in rocks there too. The geologists explanation for how all this salt formed lacks credibility to me and does not stand up to questioning, so its really a mystery why the mountains of salt are there. The wholesale price of salt is also very cheap - maybe 50 cents per kg, so unfortunately the workers don't earn much there.
@@DestinationTravel WOW! I had read about it but your explanation and description is fantastic. Thank you very much for explaining. I'm so very sorry that the workers are not paid a living wage for such dangerous work inside the salt mines. Maybe the contamination comes from the processers, if there is any. We purchase it in ground form either coarse or fine or sometimes larger crystals. Someone must purchase from the mines and grind it, package etc. But they're making a lot of money compared to the poor worker.
Thanks again! ❤️

Your presentation-no nonsense, no wasted words-is one of the best I've seen. Also you left no stone (crystal?) unturned or examined. Thank you!
I add a pinch of salt to my drinking water. I use pink salt, and I've used my daughter's Redmonds salt. My pink salt dissolves completely but the Redmonds always leaves sands/particles that do not. For this reason, I like my pink salt better.
All these levels of minerals tested should be taken with a grain of salt. 😉
Lol😂😂😂
YOU'RE FUNNY
Different flavors from each but I support Redmonds. I lived in the area and knew many of the families and the owners of the mine. The bentonite clay is also great. They are honest, use third-party analysis reports, and are 100% American. They have really grown in the last 20 years. My only gripe with them is that they now cover their trucks so the salt rocks don't fall on the side of the farm roads when they make turns. No more free salt for us, LOL, but they are usually more affordable compared to the others.
😂funny story about the free salt hahaha
I wish I could visit Utah and the mine one day. We have been using RS for at least 15 years now.
Redmonds, all the way. Sad about losing that sweet free salt, though.
I actually use a salt mixture of Redmonds and Celtic Sea Salt in my salt shaker. 😊
For me, the gray Celtic sea salt tastes the best. It’s absolutely delicious, although I like Redmond’s too.
I agree. I like Redmond’s but it doesn’t completely dissolve in hot water when I need to make a brine for fermenting veggies. Also, when I use it in casseroles, even the fine salt, there are always crunchy bites. I still use it, but I prefer the Celtic.
Magnesium tastes Great, if not oxide. Celtic has more magnesium, but what kind?
Alot of lead traces In Celtic
It’s all of the micro plastics in the sea salt that make it taste so good 😂😂😂😂😂

My horse loves the Redmond Rock. It's a rock of salt that hangs on a fence post by a rope. It's great for getting horses to drink more water, important in avoiding colic.
Celtic Sea Salt is my go-to!
I really appreciate the breakdown of information you gave, especially in regards to the minerals. This video was truly excellent!
I agree. It has helped me come to the conclusion that the difference in mineral values is minor enough that it really makes no difference from a health standpoint. That said, different people may find that their individual taste buds prefer one over the other, and mineral values may be a component there. The bigger and more likely question is, are those taste preferences a result of actual differences or perceived differences, or are other factors such as grain size and density bigger factors?
I stopped doing sea salt after learning about all the micro plastic and any other sea pollutants, at least they test for some heavy metals
What about your iodine? None in Celtic
baja gold salt is probably the best in the world
I bought all three and mixed them together. That solves any problem.

I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate this, both as a geologist, and someone with POTS. My doctor has recommended I have about 8-10g of salt a day, and I have realized that I really need an increased amount of potassium and magnesium as well. The fact that Redmond's doesn't have either of those 2 is incredibly helpful to know
Error on these values is noted in description. Redmonds does contain Ca, Mg and P. Please see given values in description.
I am pretty sure that salt shouldn't be your source for potassium and magnesium supplementation.
1/2 cup Redmond, 1/2 teaspoons magnesium glycinate, 1& 3/4 teaspoons KCL (potassium chloride). I got the info from Mary’s Nest you tube title: The Easy Way To Make Homemade Electrolyte Drinks And Sports Drinks
@@jennyrose2200 stuff is coming out that your body needs more salt than government tells you

Redmond salt convert here. Absolutely love the sharpness in the taste. To me, after using multiple types of salt over the years, I've come to use Redmond as my go-to salt for everything. Excellent product
I'm a huge fan myself! I started using it at the advice of a functional medicine doctor I follow, & it is well worth the extra money vs table salt. This video confirms my thoughts on it!
I used to get it for free since my brother in law worked there.
I've been buying Redmonds for 31 years. It used to be a lot cheaper. I really like the flavor and while I've tried others, it's still my go to :).
You rock! I have all three salts in my cupboard, Redmond's has only been there for a few months. I have the least "experience" with it, but, I've often wondered some of the things you covered today. Thanks!
I’m very happy to have found your channel! Not only do you do a very thorough job but your voice is very soothing
In my country, Slovenia, we using natural sea salt from Adriatic sea. It is similar to Celtic salt but with iodin.🤗
Micro plastics in sea salt. Bad news.
@chrismyers9951 Bad news: micro plastics are unavoidable. You can minimize how much you consume, but you cannot escape it.
Micro plastics are in your environment, homes, clothes, foods. The list is endless and it's impossible to avoid.
😂😂😂 o may. It is possible that micro plastic is in sea salt. So what. If you are pannicing about everything you eat or drink the best think you can do is to die. Very well put together video, I have been curious about this for a while now and you broke this down elegantly with sources neatly linked to back up your information. Thank you🙏🏻
Celtic salt is delicious, but I found it harder to manage in cooking. I use Redmond's and I find the flavor really wonderful as well.
Literally my first video of yours and I subscribed because you detailed the the data and verbally cited the sources in video. Poised speech as well 👏👏✅
Also, her voice is very pleasant to the ear. So many channels use artificial voices that are painful to listen to! ✌🏼💖
I have ONLY used sea salt for many years now. And the information you give here is the reason why. I have used all three, but my personal favourite is Himalayan Pink salt.
Thanks for this super helpful chart with your calculations! 🙏
We use Redmonds and we love its flavor best. Just the issue of transportation and the number of companies processing other salts would win the argument for me. Redmonds also has the BOMB smoked salts. They were a game changer for my family not only on meats, but almost everything. They are pricey but just as pure.
I didn't know about the smoked salt. I'm definitely going to try it ASAP. Thanks for mentioning it!

Thank you for charting this. I have always used Redmond for my cooking and a pinch of Celtic salt in my water for electrolytes/hydration❤🥰❤️
Nicely done video on a topic that is more important than most people realize. I have done "salt tastings" for nearly 20 years as part of my holistic health & nutrition business. I always include basic table salt as the last one of 5-6 salts being tasted, and my clients are usually shocked at the differences and appalled at the harsh metallic flavor of the table salt most of them commonly used up to then!
MH ~I see, thank you. Would you mind telling me out of the 5 or 6 different types of salt, which were in 1st and 2nd place as the best ones.??

Celtic is my favorite,… and interestingly it's least in sodium and chloride. I live in San Diego.

Great video Arienna I have now subscribed to your channel as your videos are informative and easy to follow. I just bought some Celtic salt recommended by Barbara O’Neil. I also use Redman salt recommended by Doug and Stacy and have used Himalayan salt for many years. I was never big on using salt, thankfully as we only used table iodised salt growing up. When I started using Maldon salt, kelp salt and Himalayan salt I realised how lacking table salt was and then learnt how bad it is. Looking forward to putting Celtic into my mix of salts. Love your channel ❤
I tasted all of those and my preference remains the tasty grey salt. Thank you for your video.

Hi from AU. Great info again, thankyou. We have the Himalayan Salt and the French Sea Salt in our home kitchen. We purchased the sea salt whilst on holiday in France. The salt formed on the surface of the water is called Fleur de Ser, salt or Flower of the Sea, in English. It is more delicate and more expensive hence it is used on food after serving as it's characteristics are lost in cooking.
Fleur de sel
I've heard about the Celtic salt but I had no idea that it was done that way. Very interesting. I haven't had the pleasure of trying it yet, at least that I know of, I think I'm going to order a bag. Thanks for the video. It was very informative.
We recently went on vacation in Indonesia, the salt they use there is local natural rock sea salt. Tastes pure, delicious, and very cheap, costs only $1 per 2lb.
Yes, when I spent many months living in Bali, I used Balinese unrefined salt, which I enjoyed and felt good with, though I usually only use Himalayan salt. (I find table salt unbearable, it makes me swell and has no flavor no matter how much I use.)

👋 hi, this was an excellent informative video. Thank you. I use the Himalayan pink salt, but now I'm going to add Celtic salt to my pantry. 😊❤
Excellent data and information here! Really loved the breakdown. There was a study that came out maybe a year ago, where a third party tested all of these salts and many more too, and found a lot of lead in salt across the board! One of the rare few with no lead was celtic sea salt, so I have been sticking to that one since then.
Ooo... That's great information too! Thanks for that as well! 👏🏽
I would be glad to know if a heart patient could use the celtic or himalayas salt. Thank you in advance for your reply.

I have used all of them and keep coming back to celtic because of it's robust and not overpowering flavor.
This was so informative I had to subscribe!
Thank you for your complete examination of the salts. Me personally Himalayan for me. After watching documentaries on Ghana and their electronics recycling and the pollution that’s produced,(yes I know from our electronics here too in the USA) I tend to like mined salt
I didn't think too much of the salt's 'flavors' until I watched "Dating in the Kitchen" starring Zhao Lusi and Lin Shen. (Great drama, by the way)💗 He was, as a chef, teaching her about the difference in the taste of each salt and how the differences change the taste of the food. I immediately took all of my different salts out and started to taste them. I find it truly remarkable how each salt can change the flavor of a dish. I now use 'the salt' that flavors my food to the taste that I like. There doesn't seem to be any extreme differences in mineral content. The Grey salt has a sharp taste and the Himalayan a mellower flavor. To each his own.👍💕 Will have to look around; don't remember ever seeing Redmond's in Canada! Maybe in the larger City centers??
"Himalayan " and any pink colored salts look appetizing, however they are all high in fluoride. Fluoride compounds in high levels cause many health conditions. Since I learned this fact, I only use sea salt or Redmond's. Redmond's provided analysis upon my request. The Fluoride content of Redmond's and sea salt was much lower.
SIGH I'm so sick of F being everywhere...it's in tap water, our food, our food's food...
Thank you for your thoughts on the different flavors and methods of use.
Just found this video suggested on my feed. You intrigue me with the breakdown of the different salts. I’ve been using Himalayan Pink Salt since 2017. I love Redmonds but it is pricey for my budget. Pink salt gives me a rash. It took me a long time to figure it out. I finally found out that the pink color is caused by decomposed crustacean shells. I didn't know I was allergic to crustaceans until I found out about the pink salt giving me an itchy rash, mostly on my stomach.

As a child in the 60's I went to a camp in Utah for several years and every year that I went to the Camp the owner would get big slabs of a pinkish salt with streaks of brown mineral layers.
I realized that it was Redmond's Salt that he obtained from the Redmond's Salt Mines which wasn't that far away to get the salt, when I went to feed store to get some salt for my own horse.
Thank you for this, i was told just a few days ago that Himalayan wasn't good at all...one that i use nearly daily... but with this information i can see otherwise!! Plus makes me want to try the other two you mentioned!!
I ordered a large bag of Redmonds and it has small grains of something in it that I was constantly biting down on. I was afraid it would break my teeth. It feels like sand. I contacted them and was told that it is silica and that it does not dissolve in water. I already have about 6 crowns and am not looking to break another tooth. I absolutely love Celtic Sea Salt. I tried Redmond's in the past but it has a high silica content and the little crunches annoyed me. I kept thinking one of my dental fillings just died. I tried to ignore the crunches but gave up. I support American businesses but I just can't handle the silica in my salt. If you can't guess I have a dental phobia. So back to Himalayan pink salt I went. I don't even keep white table salt in the house. Even for canning I use pink salt. Great video.
Hi, thanks for all the effort, time and experience shared in your video. Enjoyed and informed ourselves with better lifestyle by choosing the right option. My personal evaluation and after reviewing your video, the Number one choice would be Himalayan salt, shows the only one with all the minerals, especially mag/ iodine/ zinc, with no impurities or added agent. Celtic becomes a no go for me, i know the companies do their job for filtration, but The companies are the one who sometimes end up neglecting it as well. Also importantly, Himalayan salt looks good tastes good. Also, just a suggestion for people in general, is to please make healthy choices by making healthy correct decisions, and being an American we are fortunate to have all the healthy option available at very affordable prices, so why refrain from them. so enjoy!
How do you know the Himalayan is pure and being processed correctly? So many different brands out there
i wss quoting the research that's being interpreted by the person in the video. I was reiterating whats being in the video. @@lifeasll2053
