    Been a subscriber for a while now always great content thank you for that. The Rangeman, Mudmaster & frogman are water resist to 20bar do you ever pressure test after one of your custom mods or even a simple battery change ? As that’s one of the major features of these “Gs” wouldn’t mine watching a video on that if possible. Wearing a GGB 100 myself

    Fact that it needs a charger is a no no. I’d choose old Rangeman over this one any time.

      Whoa, I a feeling thats the case since their size & design aren't the same.
      It is possible that only the top part that align to watch face aren't the same, but the connector pins is still the same? they looks similar.

      Kosta, how much did you pay for your gpr-h1000 and gods-h2000? Did you purchase them in Greece or in the USA?
      I own 3 of the gbd-h2000 that I recently purchased for $305 U.S. dollars each with tax and free shipping from a USA online jewelry website site.

    In G-Shocks I usually prefer Tough Solar + MultiBand6 (currently even wearing my 9400) while I dislike the frequent charging of my Polar sport watch. So this Rangeman might fill the gap. However it also says you should never deep discharge your tough Solar watches as this can hurt the capacitor fatally. With this Rangeman I fear it could easily discharge very deeply. Do you think this is a problem or do they use a different battery (which then in the other hand wouldnt last 10+ years)? Btw. I really like your videos 👍🏻

    • @fabioricci-effeerreworld
      @fabioricci-effeerreworld 2 місяці тому +1

      I think so... I bought the H5600 and the battery discharge very fast 😞 I think this Rangeman will do the same...

    • @georgeg1947
      @georgeg1947 16 днів тому +1

      The new gpr-h1000 Rangeman doesn’t have the problem with deep discharge. The solar panel on the display works independently from the rechargeable battery that’s inside the watch. The solar panel powers ONLY the time, stopwatch, world time, timer, sunrise/sunset, moon phase and the step counter. So if you wear this watch and expose it to light and sunlight, you never ever need to charge it for using the functions that I listed above if you ALSO shut off Bluetooth. You can shut off Bluetooth by placing the watch in airplane mode. That’s it.
      The ONLY time that this watch will need to be charged is if you have Bluetooth turned on or if you use GPS or use any of the health and fitness features like the heart monitor and oxygen sensor. Otherwise, if all the health and fitness features are turned off and if you place the watch in airplane mode and if you wear the watch and expose it to light and sunlight, you will never ever need to recharge the watch. It will run forever on ONLY light and sunlight.

    • @gshockhighfashion
      @gshockhighfashion  2 місяці тому +1

      The only way to tell the true battery duration is to go outdoors, turns the gps on, make sure the connection always there, and walk/swim/hike or whatever until the battery runs out.
      I live in a city, so I can't really fully test it, not yet. Need to plan a trip somewhere.
      Anyway, there's some information about it in the manual. Skip all the way to page 77.

The solar panel on the display will power the time, stopwatch, world time, alarms, timer, sunrise/sunset, moon phase and step counter on the watch. These functions work ONLY with the solar panel and do NOT work with the rechargeable battery which is a good thing because you will never need to charge the watch if the solar panel is exposed to light and sunlight while you wear the watch.

    I have Rangeman 9400 and it looks much better than this new Rangeman, which is pretty ugly.
    And I have had G-squad 1000 with the MIP display which is an awesome negative display. But the pulse measuring function worked badly so I sold it.
    Does it work better with this new Rangeman?

    • @gshockhighfashion
      @gshockhighfashion  Місяць тому +1

      9400 is hard to beat, at least they tried with this new model.
      For sensor accuracy, I can't be sure. I didn't have other special tools to compare it with. I had to watch other gadget/tech reviews channel for that. Not the best, but it works.

    • @georgeg1947
      @georgeg1947 16 днів тому

      @@gshockhighfashionThis new Rangeman is first and foremost a G-Shock. It has some health and fitness features in it, but it’s NOT intended to be a smartwatch. It’s intended to be a G-Shock and only a G-Shock. Casio put the health and fitness features into this watch to have them as a convenience which wasn’t a bad idea. If you want a smartwatch go buy a Garmin or an Apple Watch.

    You’re wrong about the battery inside this watch being easy to replace. Most people who own these watches don’t have any idea how to take everything apart on the outside of the watch and open up the watch and take more things apart inside the watch to get to the battery. This is a task for a Casio service center. It’s not for an amateur.

    I teally don't like it it looks like the Mudman or a fitness watch, with little differences and the problem is the last Rangeman nothing have to do with this design i prefer the older gw-9400 but that's me i think G-Shock killed the Rangeman like they did with the Mudman, Rangeman it was a watch that should survive outside without charging like the older... That's a really bad move, i understand they wanted to modernize the watch but doing like this it wasn't a good idea

    Not as good as the gpr b1000 materials used in this watch are not as good, no sapphire glass, no carbon fibre in the strap and no ceramic it might be a good watch but it's been down graded as far as I'm concerned.

    • @georgeg1947
      @georgeg1947 16 днів тому +1

      The gpr-b1000 was too big and it had problems with its rotating crown that was faulty and used to fall off. And big deal if this new gpr-h1000 doesn’t have GPS tracking on the watch display. You can still use GPS tracking with this new model by looking at your smartphone. It still has GPS and you can use the GPS by looking at your smartphone. This new model has all the health and fitness features which its older gpr-b1000 predecessor didn’t have. However, it has everything else in it that the older gpr-b1000 Rangeman had in it. I don’t use any of the health and fitness features on mine, so I have all the health and fitness features turned off on my gpr-h1000 Rangeman and it works fine and never needs charging.

    while i absoluteley love the rangeman 9400 ( have like 23 of them) this new one does not deserve the rangeman moniker..its just a reskined GBDH2000, tho as preety it may seem, this isnt its biggest problem... my main beef with this release are the shitty bioresin materials used for the bezel and strap..those will fail much much faster than the old versions..unfortunately, like with the new "mudman" casio missed yet another oportunity with an iconic master of g model with laziness in reusing old modules and the bioresin wich ist sole purpose is to make the watch dont last as much as the old ones did
    ....its quite sad...

    • @gshockhighfashion
      @gshockhighfashion  2 місяці тому +2

      I have the same concern about the material as well, it has not been proven to last yet unlike all those 'vintage' models. Anyway, talking about reskined, look at the watch again, there's only 2 thing that makes it a rangeman, a single piece name & a logo at the back that is removable. This rangeman seems more of an afterthought rather than something built from the ground up.

    • @georgeg1947
      @georgeg1947 26 днів тому

      The bio resin material is inferior. It’s cheap and it’s not going to last like the resin in older g-shocks. Only time will tell. This particular model is very complicated and you need to take apart the entire watch to replace the exterior bezel.

      It’s very expensive. I ordered my gpd-h1000 from a Japanese seller from Japan for $423.80 with tax included. I was going to purchase it directly from Casio USA but I didn’t want to pay $500 plus tax for this watch. Anything over $425 is too much.
