Great video. All of my watches are Casio solar watches, including the Mudman G-Shock. I love this watch. I have had it for ten years and it still is in perfect working condition. Parts of the case are rounded over from being bumped, rubbed, and smashed and it still is rock solid. Casios solar watches are the best watches as far as I am concerned.
That was a very quick 54 minutes and loved it all the way through :)) Was really good to see all your points with each of your choices :) Like you, I'm very much using my G-Shocks the most, and I do own some more luxury pieces, but these don't get the wrist action, mainly because I like having something that's always ready and robust! I thought you would pick one of the Oaks, then thought the Mudmaster, but had the GPW-2000 as your last choice, so that was a surprise, but also understand why you went for the G-9300... I would like to see the GW-9400 with the same kind of design as the G-9300, as it is such a compact neat design, and it's the G-Shock I choose for those really tough moments, plus I like that the buttons can't be pushed so easily, especially when working in tight spaces, as you don't want beeps and start adjusting things unwanted on the watch :-P Hopefully you find time to add those bezel screws to your GW-9400 LML :-P I think you need to amend the title to 'SOTC G-Shocks with my top 3 choices' ??? Cheers for the shoutout and the link in the description, very much appreciated :)) Again, well done for finally hitting 1000 subs, and cheers to many more thousands! Big thumbs of support as always my friend and thanks for sharing :)
Haha the screws on the Rangeman still not sorted :) I need to get it done. Thanksfor watching the vid and providing your thoughts, yes it is a SOTC to some degree your right. I tell you the GPW very nearly made it in the top 3, and also depending on what day it is the top 3 can change a lot lol. I find I go through phases with my watches. Cheers!
@@stormrider1119 You could remove them faster than making a pot of tea LML :-P I'm the same with phases, but have also become more focused on my more usable G-Shocks and have flipped a few now... my GW-9400 isn't used much these days, as the GG-B100 has become my new Rangeman, but I won't get rid of the GW-9400 as it is an iconic watch still... I would like to see a revamp of it, without all those lines on the sub-dial.... My GPW is my traveller, and as I've not travelled for a bit, it hasn't been used, but still acts as the perfect watch to calibrate my dinosaur mechanicals LML :-P Your TAG is ok, and that must've cost a little packet back then when in London... some give TAG a hard time, but I like them, and I did own one until it got stolen out of a hotel room! Have a great start to the week, well, it's probably nearer to Tuesday for you now, but you get my meaning... cheers :))
@@stormrider1119 Some watches have those memories hey, wished my Mum never gave away one of my Dad's watches, it was a huge LED watch from the 70's and I loved pushing that one single button to glow the time red... but she gave it away years ago to the jumble sale! That has always been on my mind, and my Dad doesn't wear watches, so has nothing else to hand down, unless the Fenix 5X Plus I gave him, which he only wears on his golfing matches LML :-P
All the Gshocks looked gorgeous with u modelled it wearing the light blue shirt with folded sleeve...I have bought few similar shirts while wearing my gshocks ! Tq Stormrider. And my top 3 gshocks from my collection are Ga2100 black, Rangeman and GM900 MTG. Looking forward for your new videos on yr Gshocks since u have been quiet nearly 2 years now!
Few days ago I got myself Mudman G-9300 (yep, they're still available in Russia, and there're a lot of them on the warehouses) and I'm absolutely happy. I feel like I can defeat a xenomorph in a hand-to-hand fight. It's my 4th G-Shock, but I guess I will wear it much more often then my others. Thank you for the video. Will add it to favourites, so next time when g-shock fever will hit me I can rewatch it and get some tips.
Thanks for the comments Max, I'm really glad you found the video useful. You know to me there is something particularly great about the G-9300 Mudman. Something to do with its understated looks yet fantastic set of functions and comfort. The size is great also. I love it and have it with me on my current travels along with one GA-2100 and my GPW-2000 GravityMaster. I switch between them depending on what I'm doing. Cheers Good Sir!
Very nice video! I have a Mudman GW 9010 since 2009. Have used it for serious offroad and different sports over the years and it still works perfectly, with full battery charge. Have other Gshocks, Citizens and automatic Swiss watches, but the Mudman is the one to go if I had to choose only one.
Great video! Took me over six hours to get through, because I had to stop and check out every single watch presented. I want all of them in my collection!
Thanks man, yes the GWG-1000 was always going to be there, it's just so capable and the build quality is incredible. Thanks dropping by the channel again Tarik...
Nice picks! Love seeing the variety Of tastes within the gshock enthusiast community. Nice models to check (although you maybe have already) are the DW5900 and GD350. Love the strap on your GA2000 - they have quick release strap so you can change them out if you are wanting to look after the current one. Shame for it to not get more wear! Fun vid anyway!’
Thanks for the message. I don't own those models, will take a look now thanks. Yes the quick release on the GA-2000 strap is very handy, the GA-2100 and 2110 also has it. Works very nicely... Cheers!
Thanks for the comment CR. Yes the square and 2100 are both the kind of G-Shocks that are unimposing yet put up with a lot of stress and are super comfortable. You've got a great couple of watches there. The square is super initiative and easy to use... A true classic. Cheers!
Awesome Video Stormrider. You got it spot on. I’m Lucky enough to own the GPW2000. Got a New one Delivered from Japan with Box and tags. It’s very tough to find one now.
Wow that GA2000BT-1A is absolutely GORGEOUS. I didn't know that color way even existed and now I need to start saving up for one. Wow, so happy you showed that.
I love my Rangeman. I've got the standard one but I've been seriously thinking about getting some differant cases and straps from pacparts and try them out.
@@stormrider1119 Yeah pacparts is a great place for Casio parts. Found it trying to track down bracelet pieces for an Edifice watch that I own. Its a chunky beast I only wear for travel but damn that dual time zone combined with the bluetooth functionality Casio puts in their bluetooth watches is awesome for traveling across time zones. Not that many of us get to do that at the moment.
I really believe the GW-9400 Rangeman is the best choice for day to day go anywhere watch. I love it. It is cheaper than the other comparable Master of G watches. It is a nice looking and a better built G-Shock too.
Just picked up my GW-9400 Rangeman, new in box for $125 locally. Had been sitting in the tin for a year so it was dead, but a morning in the sun and it's good to go!
The GW-9300 would also be my Top3, here in Europe the sell a new one but only without Multiband 6... I got the Japanese version with MultiBand 6 and wear it the most.
Man that's one of my grail watches to have the MB6 Japanese version. Mine is European standard, I bought it in London. Nice work Sir. There are some great rare colours in the Japanese audition also. I like the blue one.
I have a decent size collection of g’s. My favorite is my g9300. I ended buying the one with the regular band. Found out they come in carbon and bought that one too. Second would be my froman gwf1000. Had a hard time trying to find that brand new at a good price. And third would probably be my rangeman.
Hi Stormrider how are you buddy? Thats a great choice you’ve picked there, I’m so happy you’ve decided to include the GWG1000, I cannot stop wearing mine. I get a lot of comments about mine especially as I have switched the green band for a black one now. I wear it for all occasions and that’s thanks to the band switch. It’s so military and tactical as well as being smart looking at the same time. The problem I find is that I don’t wear my kinetic seiko anymore and it runs out if power regularly. It’s the result of my love for the GWG1000 1a3, can’t help it 😞 Just an update ...The training is going well and I’m dating a new girlfriend , my confidence and moral are beaming through exercise and it’s helped towards me find a new love which is fantastic ! I hope your doing well mate and keep up the great videos storm! Later buddy 👍🏻
Kev, great to hear from you good Sir! That's fantastic news, sounds like you are in a great new chapter of life. Get after it brother... you deserve it. Interesting to hear the GWG-1000 is now on black straps, I imagine that looks great, and agree more versatile. I'm like you, I don't wear my kinetic Tag any more and it loses charge quickly as a result. That's what happens when you start wearing G-Shocks. Keep up the great work man, stay strong 💪
Got my Mudman when I was in Japan around 4 years back. Never knew it’s JDM version and is different from international version until a couple of weeks ago lol. Mine’s got Multi Band 6, Carbon Fiber strap, and green backlight. Love it
Oh nice, is it with the negative screen with the golden detail around the compass?? The ones with carbon strap appear to be super rare. Wish I had one...
@@stormrider1119 nah, it’s exactly the same colour as yours. Except for the aforementioned features. I got confused while watching review from a US UA-camr when his Mudman had resin strap and no Multi Band. So I did some research and found that only JDM ones had carbon fiber strap Ps. I saw some JDM ones for sale online but they’re ridiculously expensive.
I love my Gshocks but Casio's Protrek line are great watches too. I've used mine in northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba for getting out doors and fishing there. Thet've been just as sturdy as my gshocks but the larger diameters plus usually being thinner than gshocls make them great for getting out in the bush. Plus some of them don't need adapters and putting them on a cloth od synthetic fiber strap is much more comfortable in the swealtering summers in the bush up here.
@@stormrider1119 Not as much as I'd like to anymore unfortunately. Covid shut down the bush last year and I have a bad back combined with a paralysed lower left leg thanks to flesh eating desease and going out by myself on hikes anymore is just not feasable. Still I like to get in there as far as I can safely go with my Truck and my cane doing what I can. Thankgod fishing is an activity you don't have to do standing the whole time.😅 Still theres nothing like getting out there, turning off you phone and just enjoying nature anyway you can. Winters are brutal here but the late Spring through Autum is incredible. The only thing I might enjoy better is British Columbia but I don't think I could tolerate how much it rains there sometimes. 😅
I enjoy your content a great deal. I didn't realize how long this video was untill I was about 10 min in... Yet here I am at the finish. I would like to see an aftermarket for accessories... Straps in particular. Thoughts?
Thanks Tim, haha you have great patience to stick through the whole thing and I really appreciate that as well as the kind words. After market items are something I have not dived into in any detail yet but I do want to explore them, NATO straps and screen protectors seem to be people's favorites as well as the multitude of bezels for the GA-2100. I need to have a cruise around ebay or Amazon and see what may be interesting...
Have you ever heard of the housing developing a crack where the pin holds the strap to? It happened to my madman and I retired it. I have 6 inch wrists and the GA 2110 fits perfectly. I have on order my first digital solar radio model in dark grey with the red pin stripe. I really like gshocks and even though I 175cm 69 kg I am terribly hard on my watches. I have no idea why the housing cracked on the mudman but I suspected the housing is in proportion a bit out of balance but overall I think they are good. I was contemplating a nice Hamilton mechanical or Tissot automatic and I just didn't want to deal with servicing and the costs of servicing which most people are unaware of. I love the beauty of Omega, Breitling and so on, and even Seiko makes nice quartz, I owned a few. But for my lifestyle the gshock watches are interesting and intriguing. Sure they are not like an Alpha Romeo but you have to tune them up regularly.
Great video! I watched it till the end. I have the Rangrman GW-9400-1 positive display and love it. It's my only G-Shock. Thinking about a 2100 as a smaller more versatile watch or maybe a square G the GW-5000U-1. Your video is a few years old. Did you get one of the GA-B2100 the solar version? What are your thoughts on those?
I went through 4 GG-B100 in different colours (still have 2 of them) and a desert camo GWG-2000 before I purchased the GWG9400-1 and that is the watch that gets the most wrist time.. I love the all digital module with solar charging. I must also admit, GW9400-1 rangeman is a real nice looking piece also....
Great choice. I also have the GW9400-1, which I wear all the time except for a dress watch for formal occasions. I love all the features, the tough Solar, it's toughness and the look too.
Man you are so right. I've been eyeing up a Froggy for a while. I think first step will be a turquoise digital and then consider an analogue. Thanks for the comment Robert. Cheers!
I have a lot of g shocks my self I have just bought a range man GW 9400 negative desplaiy I have had fun setting it up especially the sunset and sunrise I bought it because it has a solar battery I also have the GG100 which I have range Anxiety about because it is not solar but I love the logo function and the it is the positive screen vision so it a lot easy to see then my new range man I will have to see how much wrist time It will get
Nice collection, bro. You ever consider getting a frogman or a gulfmaster? If you like squares you should definitely look into the gw-5000, that thing's great.
I really really want a Frogman. The new analogue Borneo keeps catching my eye but I know from a practical perspective I'll want the digital version. I'll get the blue one at one point I reckon. I've tried the Gulfmaster and it's a beauty although even for me a little too big, I'm opting for the mod to smaller G-Shocks these days purely for the comfort factor an deasy of training and running with them. Thanks for dropping by the channel man!
I know it's not a g shock, but what do you think about the oceanus line? Specifically, the p2000. I'm drooling over it. Well, that one and the mrg-g1000
I didn’t know much about this line but just looked into them. They are clearly very capable watches and being CASIO will be bulletproof. Some of them are darn attractive too. Can’t say I blame you for being tempted…
@StormRider yep, titanium, sapphire glass, multi band 6, Bluetooth, solar, made in Japan, etc. They are pretty high end... others to look at ocw-T4000, OCW-S5000 MANTA, ALSO S6000 is out. The only negative is that they are only JDM, so you might have to pay import duties if you decide to get one.
I love watching your videos, my dream is to have a mudmaster. If u have any suggestions on where to buy one at a decent price, please let me know. Thank u so much...
Great video. Awesome collection. As you know I love G-Shocks, but the instinct solar is awesome.. so comfortable, legible. My 9400 rangeman is my go to g shock. Instinct solar is nice
@@stormrider1119 gshocks are my favorite but the instinct solar is getting a lot of wrist time. I disabled heart rate and some other stuff. Display has time, date, solar activity, sunrise/sunset.
I was shocked tge 9400 wasn't in the top 3. The mudman is interesting, especially with cf band. I love the rangeman, but does have a chunky fit at times
Of all my g shocks, the g9300 mudman and gd 350 are my favorites and having the most wrist time. I dont understand why i love my mudman more than my rangeman, i prefer the screen contrast, light, moon phase and confort of my mudman more than the rangeman.
That's it man, the Mudman just has a certain special value about it, for me a big factor is comfort. I haven't worn a GD350, need to look into it. Thanks so much for the comment from another G9300 fan :)
My gwm 5610u has pretty much replaced all my other watches. I love all my other time pieces but this one has gotten more wrist time than all my other watches up to this point
Yeah it's definitely easier to read. I don't mind negative displays but for sure there is an advantage to the ET because the digital cluster is small to start with... Cheers for your observations Logan, it's much appreciated.
I have the Desert Camo Rangeman. It’s my favorite G-Shock by far. I tried the all-black version of your Desert Camo Mudmaster. It's awesome but just too big on my 7” wrist.
Man congrats on being part of a very elite club of people who own the desert camo Rangeman or Mudmaster. I've only came across a handful of people to date. They are a rare beats. Thanks for the comment! :)
I fancy a gd350 but it’s not tough solar that puts me off! Do you find changing the batteries a doddle or do you take them to Timpsons? I only have the 5610 6900 and 7900 but the square 5610 I wear most
Hi, Great Video! This my favourite of all 13 G Shocks I have owned. Can you tell me please, the name and model of the strap show in the video, and is it quick release? many thanks. Terry Davis
I would like to add that to my collection being a Gshock fan and moreover being a Bhutanese. I am just wondering if I could even hunt down one from the market. ❤❤❤❤❤ if you ever plan on gifting it to someone, I pray by providence divine that someone be me smile😊
Will the altimeter work under water? Since it calculates the altitude with the help of the barometer which measures atmospheric pressure and when the watch is underwater the surrounding atmosphere is water instead of air. How accurate will the result be that the altimeter will show based on calculations using barometric data? I curiously submerged my GWG-1000 Mudmaster in a bucket 🪣 of water and checked the altitude which recorded 45 meters and the altitude of the place where i was conducting this experiment was 270 meters. Now, I am curious to know what result this altimeter will show and its accuracy while diving in the sea 🤿🌊 when i will also have a depth meter to compare the results.
@WatchUP69 is the man to answer this question. Its a good one and my assumption would be it would not be have zero scientific answer as to why :) Let's see what he says. Thanks for the comment Reith!
Hi I had a conversation on the 2100 recently, where I wasn't sure if I just get my refund or keep because it's fairly new and perhaps could be rare in the future.. I don't like it as I prefer all digital now, I have my mechanical watches for an analog display. I have the non Bluetooth, black and blue and purple model. Do u think they'll actually be a very wanted watch in the future?
Hello, thank you for this informative video, well prepared and greatly concluded, what is the thing on the caseback at 18:29? I do not have this kind of sticker
G-9300 looks as available in several on-line stores here (BG) at a price of 252 USD (including VAT and a free shipping to the door in the country). I didn't contact the retailers for the real availability, but probably there are some units in stock. The same is the situation with GW-7900 (173 USD). But both of these are pretty old models, and solar ones. Even if they are available as brand new old-stocks..., I suspect that the battery will be damaged beyond repair/complete recovery, because it is very sensitive to charge/discharge ratios. Similar to the most of the regular rechargeable batteries, the complete discharge + long periods of time in this state lowers the capacity of the battery significantly, and the replacement of the battery is a pain in the rear end (at least for me). According to some info (I forgot the exact source in internet), completely discharged rechargeable battery could be jump-started by connecting it to a regular charged battery with the same capacity for some time. Then, the solar-charging unit of the watch catches up, and got able to maintain the recharging cycles and the overall functions of the watch. Apologies for this wall-of-text, in case I bored you.
Man thanks a lot for that excellent information. I wansnt aware and it's very helpful. I guess you are right a watch which is 'brand new' yet discontinued is highly likely to have had its battery empty for a long time. Definitely need to think of the consequences of that. I assume worst case scenario you get a new battery fitted?
@@stormrider1119 In my opinion, the worst scenario is a leaked battery (when it is in contact with the circuit the probability for that to happen is higher). In case it is only damaged, I could assume three types of annoyances: 1. If the CTL1616 battery is completely dead, the reatailer (especially if it is an affiliated one) will change it for you for free - it should be a normal practice, and the case is solved. 2. If the CTL1616 battery is partially damaged, it may not reach high charge, and it may take some time and efforts for you to reach to this conclusion. In this case, the retailer may refuse to change it for free, and charge you 20 USD/quids for the battery (which is almost always more expensive in the watch stores) + 10 USD/quids for new original O-ring (including cleaning and lubrication) + 20 USD/quids for the labor. This way, you still will have 2 years of warranty for the watch + a bit of sour taste in the mouth because paying more for something as new which is actually old. 3. Screw the warranty, I'll DIY! Anyway, I would always proceed with extra caution in the case of solar-charging watches, especially the old ones. Many people are booing because GRB200, GGB100 and PRT-B70 are normal battery-operating watches, but I see that as a clear advantage - more independence + power here & now. In addition, if these watches are used in the way they are meant to be, intervals of 2-3 years between servicing them is pretty normal. After all, they are very precise, expensive and probably life-saving tools in particular situations.
You are a fountain of knowledge on this subject, excellent stuff and thanks for providing the info. Are you an electrical engineer or just have a real interest in this area?
@@stormrider1119 Just a hobby. Still learning and appreciating every bit of useful information that could justify my decisions. When putting my own money on a watch that is going to stay in the collection, every single "devil-in-the-details" matters. Btw, this triple-sensor PRT-B50/PRT-B70 (2E) looks more and more appealing every single day... I appreciate your video. I would like for you to hold the watch still so the viewers can see the watch. You kept turning it to yourself and then holding it at an angle away from the camera.
I did but i bought it a retail cause people kept saying its discontinued and it probably is! I could have saved almost 2000 philippine pesos had i been patient :))
i'm buying my first G-Shock. Can you help me with a truly opinion? I'm between GWG-1000 and GW-9400 Rangeman. What's your call? Would you choose any other than these two? Tks!!!
Hi Jorge, this is a really subjective question because it depends on a few points. Do you have a big wrist? If smaller the GWG may look too big. Are you using it for extreme activities so you need something extra tough, or just day to day wear and sport/gym etc. If it's the latter the GW-9400 would make more sense in my opinion. The GWG is also more expensive and has less functions so take that into consideration, however it is an absolute beast. I also encourage people to try the watches on their wrist to see which is most comfortable for them. If yiu are considering these also look at the G-9300 Mudman as well as the GG-B100 Mudmaster (the only one of the 4 that is not tough solar). I hope that helps Sir!
Yes! They are incredible man. My Mudman will almost certainly be operating fine another 20 years from now, they appear to be indestructible lol. Thank you for the comment :)
I hope Casio does not come out with more colors of the solar Casioak. I would be buying more watches. I went Seiko automatic crazy, then I was able to control myself. But recently I got 3 G-shocks.....god help me. I have a couple squares and the green GA-B2100. I think I can control myself as long as they don't come out with any really cool GA-B2100 colors.
I've got the regular solar/radio square. I kinda wanted the bluetooth version after having the functions on a dual time display Edifice I use for travel but the prices for those are just ouch in Canada. I think the solar square is still a great watch though. Its so tiny compared to my other gshocks and protreks but its just that right size to make a great everyday watch for me.
I actually don't own any but am interested. A number of people have said they are very good. I like the styling of them too. On the long list of things to look into :)
I watched the video in parts over a few days - before the big reveal, I guessed the 3 that were the final lineup. It's going to be v.interesting to see what Gshock do in 18 months for the big 40th anniversary. I'm guessing there will be new squares released - I'm guessing they might be more like smartwatches - maybe veering away from the traditional display.
Thanks for watching the full chebang :) yes the 40th anniversary will be an interesting release period. As I purist I hope the focus on smart functions isn't too over the top, I still want my simple and unbreakable G-Shocks :)
Love your content Stormrider, you got yourself a new subscriber and fan. Most people wear G-Shocks as fashion statements, but you're the real deal. I'm relatively new to the world of G Shocks (have a solar Square and a Casioak), and am looking to expand into the Master of G range. Between the Mudman G9300, Rangeman G9400, and Mudmaster GWG1000, if you were forced to pick only 1, which would you pick? And why? Personally for me, solar is a must, and I prioritize comfort. I'm interested in the gadgets, but not having the altimeter/barometer is not a deal breaker, and I don't have access to multiband 6. Appreciate your thoughts! You can even make a video on "Master of G, the big boys, which is for you?"
Thanks so much for the kind words, its sincerely appreciated. I try to present practical information based on my actual use. Great question and welcome to the club :) Honestly based on your criteria i would be suggesting tbe G9300 Mudman. I absolutely love it, comfortable, solar, MB6, compass which i personally love and so solid - ive had mine for 11 years. Zero issues. Try it on if possible to make sure it suits your wrist. Ive got many other videos on why i love it, see my G9300 long term review video. I hope that helps Sir!
Man I've been wearing them for 30 years and always come back to them. The models just get better and better yet don't lose their core values. Great choice with the GG1000. Thanks for the comment
I'm after a very specific MR-G actually, one of the models where there is only 300 on the planet... But who knows if I'll ever find one at an agreeable price.
"I use these with heavy kettlebells" I use heavy kettlebells with a $10 timex indiglo. I guess that's not really a flex. But if you're in heavy construction, that's the jam! I'm already a fan, but that made me giggle. Unless you're using the G shock as a floor mat for the kettle bells to land on.
I want a casioak but I'm 6'6" and I don't think anyone has come up with strap adapters for them. I wear all my casio's on Strap dapters. I can get away without it on my rangeman but after you put a gshock or protrek on a canvas strap its hard to go back to rubber. 😅
Nice collection, I do have 20 plus g shocks and I just ordered the Honda jet limited, I'm so excited about it it's going to be the most expensive g shock I own, my zombie apocalypse wash would be the rangeman for sure Thanks for the video, cheers
Great move on the Honda special edition Sir! Very hard to find and could well turn out to be a solid investment piece. It’s one of the prettiest watches out there. I’ve never even seen one in the flesh! That carbon bezel with the white face looks fantastic. Cheers!
You mean the yellow GA-2100? It's been out for a while. Or if you mean the GWG-1000 desert camo that was just one of those lucky moments when I was in a shop in the UK in 2015 ish and saw it on sale and could not resist. It's a rare beauty...
@@stormrider1119 Thanks for your reply. It's shown in the sub photo, I guess maybe it's yellow. Looked tan on screen to me. Sorry for bothering you mate. A desert tan would be nice then. :)
@@stormrider1119 Hey man, sorry again, but at 4:13 in the video, it shows 5 Ga-2100's sitting on a map. The one in the back is clearly yellow and black bezel. I thought you would pick one of the Oaks, then thought the Mudmaster, but had the GPW-2000 as your last choice, so that was a surprise, but also understand why you went for the G-9300... I would like to see the GW-9400 with the same kind of design as the G-9300, as it is such a compact neat design, and it's the G-Shock I choose for those really tough moments, plus I like that the buttons can't be pushed so easily, especially when working in tight spaces, as you don't want beeps and start adjusting things unwanted on the watch :-P
Hopefully you find time to add those bezel screws to your GW-9400 LML :-P
I think you need to amend the title to 'SOTC G-Shocks with my top 3 choices' ???
Cheers for the shoutout and the link in the description, very much appreciated :))
Again, well done for finally hitting 1000 subs, and cheers to many more thousands!
Cheers!
@@stormrider1119 You could remove them faster than making a pot of tea LML :-P
I'm the same with phases, but have also become more focused on my more usable G-Shocks and have flipped a few now... my GW-9400 isn't used much these days, as the GG-B100 has become my new Rangeman, but I won't get rid of the GW-9400 as it is an iconic watch still... I would like to see a revamp of it, without all those lines on the sub-dial.... My GPW is my traveller, and as I've not travelled for a bit, it hasn't been used, but still acts as the perfect watch to calibrate my dinosaur mechanicals LML :-P
Your TAG is ok, and that must've cost a little packet back then when in London... some give TAG a hard time, but I like them, and I did own one until it got stolen out of a hotel room!
Have a great start to the week, well, it's probably nearer to Tuesday for you now, but you get my meaning... cheers :))
The Tag is nice indeed, good memories with that watch... Cheers!
The Rangeman, the Mudmaster, and the Mudman are in my top five zombie apocalypse watches!

At least at the End the GWG-1000 survive youre Zombie Apocalypse 🥳😍

You're all set.
me recently bought g-9300 mudman. i'm totally in love with this watch at first glance. keep up the good work.
That G-shock watch looks so gorgeous.
Thanks for sharing this awesome product review video.
Have a great week and stay safe and healthy.👍
Thanks so much for the kind words. Yes it's a beauty of a G-Shock, especially with a few battle scars after 11+ years of hard use. Cheers man!
Great video! Took me over six hours to get through, because I had to stop and check out every single watch presented. I want all of them in my collection!
Haha, thanks Dale. That's much appreciated. A G-Shock collection is a never ending passion. :)
Enjoyed watching this. Your collection is impressive. I’m not surprised that GWG-1000 is in the top 3 lol
Cheers!
@@stormrider1119 nice! If you are digging around, the Shock base website is good.
@@IlluminatingWatches oh nice, I'll take a look thanks
Enjoyed the review! I have the GA2100 and a square g-shock. Agree that the Casioak is very comfortable on the wrist.
Thanks for the comment CR. Yes the square and 2100 are both the kind of G-Shocks that are unimposing yet put up with a lot of stress and are super comfortable. You've got a great couple of watches there. The square is super initiative and easy to use... A true classic. Cheers!
Great video. Watched it till the end. I own GW-B5600. The Bluetooth capability is definitely a plus and makes life much easier.
Thank you for the kind words. Yes G-Shock Connect App is such a useful feature. Very intuitive and makes everything simpler...:)
Wow ur collection is mint! I love the red one. Great accent piece.
Thank you, I appreciate the appreciation :)
I enjoyed this video. Thanks for your insights and opinions on all those great watches. Much appreciated.
Yes it’s a beauty. The fact it has two strap options included is great too. Hope you can find one still. Thanks for dropping by the channel Sir.
Great video, nice to see and hear about your collection of g shock watches.
I have several, they truly are great watches.
I love my Rangeman. I've got the standard one but I've been seriously thinking about getting some differant cases and straps from pacparts and try them out.
You can get great deals on the standard black one too if you look.
I'm going to check out pecparts, thanks for the tip man! Modding these things is fun, make them unique...
I have had an urge to buy a rangeman next. If I am going to guy a huge gaudy watch, I want it to do many things. This one fits the bill.
I have a decent size collection of g’s. My favorite is my g9300. I ended buying the one with the regular band. Found out they come in carbon and bought that one too. Second would be my froman gwf1000. Had a hard time trying to find that brand new at a good price. And third would probably be my rangeman.
Excellent video and information! Grettings from uruguay
Thanks so much for the kind words Javier! Really appreciate it, first comment from Uruguay I believe :) Have a great day good Sir
GWG-1000, G7900, GW-9500, GG-B100, and GW-9300 are all in my G-Shock collection and I just added the GW-9500.
It’s the result of my love for the GWG1000 1a3, can’t help it 😞
Just an update ...The training is going well and I’m dating a new girlfriend , my confidence and moral are beaming through exercise and it’s helped towards me find a new love which is fantastic !
Loving the grey Casioak and that desert camo mudmaster.
Thanks man. Two of the best in my collection I feel :)
So I did some research and found that only JDM ones had carbon fiber strap
Ps. I saw some JDM ones for sale online but they’re ridiculously expensive.
Yes that's right only Japan release has Carbon Fibre and MB6. It's a great thing to own and very expensive. Great work getting one when you did :)
Also having a watch with a baraometer function is great in the bush for forcasting possible weather conditions and for fishing.
Man it sounds like you do some serious outdoor activity out there with hour Protrecks. Awesome, that's what I like to hear :)
Thankgod fishing is an activity you don't have to do standing the whole time.😅
Still theres nothing like getting out there, turning off you phone and just enjoying nature anyway you can. Winters are brutal here but the late Spring through Autum is incredible. The only thing I might enjoy better is British Columbia but I don't think I could tolerate how much it rains there sometimes. 😅
@@loganholmberg2295 I agree man, getting in the true wild outdoors is the best antidote for most things :)
Strange, no I haven’t heard of that cracking at all. Sounds like we have a similar taste in watches… cheers!
You disappeared. Did your G Shocks break? Or do you wear Sunto now?
No he sold them all to buy a proper hand me down piece 😂
Great video! I watched it till the end. I have the Rangrman GW-9400-1 positive display and love it. It's my only G-Shock. Thinking about a 2100 as a smaller more versatile watch or maybe a square G the GW-5000U-1.
Your video is a few years old. Did you get one of the GA-B2100 the solar version? What are your thoughts on those?
I have the 9300 and am going to pick up a gwg 1000 this weekend.
Two of my favourite watches of all time :)
I love all the features, the tough Solar, it's toughness and the look too.
no frogmans in your collection .. geez... the analog is a nice one, you need it since you already have the mud master and gravity master
Man you are so right. I've been eyeing up a Froggy for a while. I think first step will be a turquoise digital and then consider an analogue. Thanks for the comment Robert. Cheers!
I have a lot of g shocks my self I have just bought a range man GW 9400 negative desplaiy I have had fun setting it up especially the sunset and sunrise I bought it because it has a solar battery I also have the GG100 which I have range Anxiety about because it is not solar but I love the logo function and the it is the positive screen vision so it a lot easy to see then my new range man I will have to see how much wrist time It will get
Great video, very interesting. You can identify the GA-2100's manufacturing date through the serial number (9605T6) engraved on the back cover.
There is a way to identify it from the code yes. As soon as I recall how it works I’ll drop the info here :)
You have a wonderful collection of G-Shock. Casio is the best of all times
First time viewer. I greatly enjoyed this video.
Many thanks for the kind words good Sir.
I just bought a new 9300, i'll check the manufacture date when it arrives (2-5 days)
Good stuff. I just got the GAB2100 and now I am eying the 9300.
That mudmaster looks good on your wrist, you must have wrists that are pretty big, 8 inches or more.. damn that sounded a lil weird.
Haha. Yea my wrists are around 9inch. It’s a perfect watch in terms of dimensions in my opinion.
@@stormrider1119 9 inches holy crap. Do you think this would work on someone with a little over 7 inch wrists?
I love watching your videos, my dream is to have a mudmaster. If u have any suggestions on where to buy one at a decent price, please let me know. Thank u so much...
Cheers Chad. I would suggest hitting up your local Casio stores regularly. I find they randomly pop up and sometimes on sale!

Of all my g shocks, the g9300 mudman and gd 350 are my favorites and having the most wrist time. I dont understand why i love my mudman more than my rangeman, i prefer the screen contrast, light, moon phase and confort of my mudman more than the rangeman.

Great thing about the GA-2110ET is that it does not have a negative display. Negative displays look cool but I'm not a fan of the visability.
Yeah it's definitely easier to read. I don't mind negative displays but for sure there is an advantage to the ET because the digital cluster is small to start with... Cheers for your observations Logan, it's much appreciated.

Why is that murderder Gates in commercial before you video????
How can you not find the GW-9300? It's on casio's website for 220$.
Maybe it wasn't available a year ago?
In case it is only damaged, I could assume three types of annoyances:
When putting my own money on a watch that is going to stay in the collection, every single "devil-in-the-details" matters. i'm buying my first G-Shock.
@@stormrider1119 help so much!!! thank you for your attention and your politely answer!
@@jorge.carnesecca my pleasure man. Let me know what you go for... Cheers!
Which g shock do you suggest for start?
My Mudman G9000 is my EDC. Most comfortable watch i have ever own.
The Earth Tone Grey looks great
Indeed, it's a beauty. Thanks for the comment
good video bro, thanks
I've got the regular solar/radio square. I kinda wanted the bluetooth version after having the functions on a dual time display Edifice I use for travel but the prices for those are just ouch in Canada. I think the solar square is still a great watch though. Its so tiny compared to my other gshocks and protreks but its just that right size to make a great everyday watch for me.

Just out of curiosity have you also looked at the Casio Protreks with you affinity for an active outdoor lifestyle?
I actually don't own any but am interested. A number of people have said they are very good. I like the styling of them too. On the long list of things to look into :)
I got an Edifice that does the same thing as your Gravitymaster...I bet they use the same mvmt modual. Thats a nice watch though.

Great video 😁😁😁
Thank you Sir! Much appreciated
@@stormrider1119 thanks for your quick feedback sir. Am still giving it thought but you have made the G9300 Mudman a serious contender. Thank you!
Wow hope I be like u collecting gshock..it my dream that I have my own gshock original 😭
I’m sure one day your dream will come true Sir. :)
Isn’t the 100 just a version for those who don’t want to spend the money on the 1000 but have a mudmaster
I own the mudmaster gg1000 love every bit of it I've been hooked on g shocks since 1983
Man I've been wearing them for 30 years and always come back to them. The models just get better and better yet don't lose their core values. Great choice with the GG1000. Thanks for the comment
Im sorry because I don't know whether you've mentioned it before but what's your Grail-shock now?
I'm after a very specific MR-G actually, one of the models where there is only 300 on the planet... But who knows if I'll ever find one at an agreeable price.
@@stormrider1119 300? Are those yellow Bruce-Lee MRG one?
"I use these with heavy kettlebells"
I use heavy kettlebells with a $10 timex indiglo. I guess that's not really a flex. But if you're in heavy construction, that's the jam! I'm already a fan, but that made me giggle. Unless you're using the G shock as a floor mat for the kettle bells to land on.
Haha. Fair point Sir. I do normally take any other watches off for my KBs but this can stay on in any situation.
I want a casioak but I'm 6'6" and I don't think anyone has come up with strap adapters for them. I wear all my casio's on Strap dapters. I can get away without it on my rangeman but after you put a gshock or protrek on a canvas strap its hard to go back to rubber. 😅
check out vario
I haven’t seen a GA2100 with adapters either. It must be doable though... I’d like to see that. Cheers Sir!
I got my Mudman on Amazon and it’s still available.
I have the gbg-100 mud master it’s not tough solar but I love this watch. I wear it everyday and beat the crap out of it
A great watch, and you are using it how its many to be used. :)
Nice collection, I do have 20 plus g shocks and I just ordered the Honda jet limited, I'm so excited about it it's going to be the most expensive g shock I own, my zombie apocalypse wash would be the rangeman for sure
Thanks for the video, cheers
Great move on the Honda special edition Sir! Very hard to find and could well turn out to be a solid investment piece. It’s one of the prettiest watches out there. I’ve never even seen one in the flesh! That carbon bezel with the white face looks fantastic. Cheers!
Casio is still producing the mudman 9300
Whoa, where did you get that desert tan 2100? I've not seen that one.
@@fakenewsisthenews3542 no worries man. Yes it's yellow, with a black bezel, super cool colour. I think still in production...
@@stormrider1119 Hey man, sorry again, but at 4:13 in the video, it shows 5 Ga-2100's sitting on a map. The one in the back is clearly yellow and black bezel. I mean the one in the front on the right, next to the earth tone blue/gray watch. This one in the photo is clearly desert tan color with a slightly darker tan bezel.
@@fakenewsisthenews3542 ah, I understand. It's the grey one I'm wearing at the start. I think the light conditions give it a slightly different colour. :)
GA2110Grey one is the most beautiful one of them all, I name it Casioak Shark
I'm liking it. I think of it as the GA 2110 F14 TomCat :)
