14:24 Yes, those lugs are a weak point! Not only are they too narrow for the width of the watch but there’s not enough meat for the screw threads to catch. Mine stripped out. When I backed the screws out there was white plastic in the threads. They should have metal sleeves embedded in there.
Thanks for all these full teardowns you do! Even when they're not going viral they provide a super valuable community resource, especially with all the tiny details you highlight. Awesome editing and presentation too - thanks for all your effort!
Thanks for the video. And Thank God I found your video before ordering the bezel!! This is too risky and difficult to be fun. I am gonna have to be content with my banana H1000 now.
Hey love your video, may I have the black parts? Because I really dislike those yellow bits on my black GPR-H1000. I just hope to get an all black watch instead of the hybrid black and yellow option. Let me know if you have those black-coloured parts available! Cheers.
Very detailed video thank you very much, now all I need to do is watch a lot of one piece episodes and channel monkey d luffy's courage in to me so I can also swap my bezel😊 love your video ❤
Thanks for the interesting and well made video. I actually prefer the more trusty GW-9400, which is easier customizable and sturdier (except for the potential lug problem, which is in a different way destined to occur on this one as well). The classic Rangeman just deliveres, no lags, no half GPS etc. (the list is long, but not relevant in this comment...).
Is it possible to replace the original watch strap for an expandable or elastic strap? My right arm is paralysed. So, in order to put this watch on, I need help. Also, if I could easily take it off, I could set the functions myself and slip it back on again. Thanks. I was thinking about buying as a one watch collection rather than having different watches for different purposes.
Hey dude I like your content a lot, I’m working for Casio and Im really into G-Shock. I have the Rangeman but can you tell me please where you got that red bezel and strap. I will be very thankful!
Hello! Where you find red stuff for GA-2300? It have 3 version of this watch. How you modificate to red design? Please answer me. I'm realy want to know.
In the future, disconnect the battery before disassembling the watch. You can easily cause a short and damage components with the battery connected like that.
Byebye warranty! Brave to do it outside a factory environment... With basic tools, human hands & eyes?? Top quality close up video, so impressive. Selling custom gear now?
The best thing to do is just not get it exposed to dark dyed coloured clothing at all times, especially jeans. This is what I always keeps in mind. Just light cleaning would help reduce it, dish soap and scrub it without scratching the parts. If you dare, remove the band & bezel out and then soak it in bleach, then brush the corners. It'll work, I'd tried this one as well. The problem is the tone of yellow will fade as well, turning it pale yellow. Still looks good though if you can accept it. Or just keep wearing it, if it wants to have black corners, let it. In my case, this is why I swapped the parts out immediately, keep the original clean 👍.
@@gshockhighfashion thank you! But...Finally I did it! Because it’s impossible to save this yellow from the traces of friction. I changed the bezel! Around 40min, microscope almost obligatory. Watch out for the springs...I don't know if I'll do it again! fortunately I'm used to repairing phones...without that... Thank you for your video it helped me a lot (especially to replace the springs...).
how the f*ck can people keep saying this thing is not durable, almost all Gshock shock resistant watches uses resin as the main case that is for the purpose of vibration reduction effect, why people keep saying its made of cheap parts?, gprb1000 also uses resin case, and the design is just different, it really depends on how you look at it, I have alot of these master of G models, they all share the same resin case as the holder, the problem with heavier watches generates too much vibration energy when dropped there is a reason why it was made lightweight..they all have their pros and cons so there is no perfect watch, you just got to buy what you really need,
The resin of the G-Shock will unfortunately break down after 20 years of ownership. In the case of my GL-140, I can't even get the resin. It's like hydrolysis of Nike sneakers. However, I bought the GPR-H1000 even though I know the durability of the resin is weak.
Unfortunately this video appeared after I purchased a replacement bezel, but I see that thinking about replacing it is practically impossible if you don't want to risk destroying everything 😮. Very different from the Rangeman GW-9400 which takes 3 minutes to change the bezel.
Very nice work with the camera bud, you raised the game a couple of levels up, very nice. In my opinion a Rangeman is definitely not built to be a ''step tracker'' or a ''HR monitor'', a Rangeman has always been something else, tat sensor is completely....I don't know, not useless but pointless....without that sensor that would be a completely different thing, when I'm looking at my GPR-B1000 (a slice of Darkness) and that thing, that really doesn't deserves to have that name...that looks like a toy compared to my boy... without a HR sensor it would be a lot thinner and more usable, more stable at the wrist, even I would think about buying it, instead of my forever beloved GW-9300J Mudman (or I wouldn't very probably) Like
Casio is making it VERY DIFFICULT for ordinary people to replace the bezels on their own when they rot out. This Rangeman model will require to be sent out to the Casio Service Center to replace the exterior resin bezel when the original one cracks, breaks off or gets rotted. It requires a total tear down of the internals in the watch to get access to the exterior bezel in order to replace it. Not good. I guarantee you that Casio did this intentionally to prevent people from working on their own watch. They made this model very complicated on purpose to require owners of this model to send this watch out to Casio Service Center to pay money to have them replace the bezel as well as the rechargeable battery inside the watch. This is a BIG HASSLE. The same problem will occur for the gbd-h2000 when it will need its exterior resin bezel and rechargeable battery replaced. It will need to be totally torn down to get the exterior resin bezel and rechargeable battery replaced just like on the gbd-h1000 Rangeman.
I don't see that myself. This is not your run of the mill gshock! I would never do a teardown like this but so glad to see one. There is a lot of sophistication built into this watch from Casio who have been doing this for a long time! Only time will tell!

hi.you can't replace the bezel without taking the watch completely apart? can a watchmaker do that?
Impossible without cutting the bezel around the button area
OK, but you don't have to take everything out... ? have a good 2025 👌

It says 3.7 VOLTS on the battery. It also says Casio on the back of the battery.
