The trick with peaches is definitely the amount of juice they impart into the infusion. I used to infuse all kinds of fruit in vodka for events and peaches definitely had the most residual sweetness. Which honestly was a big hit with guests. Great job on this, Rob!
Yea I was amazed at how sweet the infusion was before adding syrup.. none of my other fruit liqueurs were that sweet to start with
Sounds like this turned out so nice! Excellent to take advantage of when the big peach season hits around here! Love this idea Rob!
Turned out great! Just wish I could have finished during the season 🤣🤦♂️
love all your home recipes. WIll start making some to use in my drinks too. thanks for always sharing. cheers.
Thanks! I appreciate it!
😎 Great staff ,looking forward to review !!! Always great watching you guys ! Have a nice weekend
Cheers! Thank you!
Lucky me, I made a peach liqueur during peach season, so I'm excited for some recipes from you.
Nice!! Yea hoping to pop the video out Friday!!
This looks so good Rob!!!
Thanks Dave! Definitely happy with the results!
Peach season 😎😎⛄⛄ looks like a very handy recipe! I look forward to making this someday cheers rob!
It turned out really good!
Really enjoyed watching your lovely video. A big thumbs up from Chris and Jane 👍👍
Thank you! Appreciate it! Cheers!
Great. Have to wait 10 months for fresh peaches. LOL! I'll be back to reference this one then! Thank Rob! Cheers
hahaha, i know right? ....this is like the worse time to release this video! haha 🤦♂
@@RobsHomeBar one great thing I forgot to mention earlier was how you made your peach syrup. I didn't think about using frozen peaches for a syrup. I made an apricot syrup using dehydrated apricots that I thought turned out great but I need to try your method next!
@@seanpannebaker6404 yea nothing wrong with using frozen fruit! although they do seem to carry more water... another reason I prefer to add my sugar separately.
It sounds amazing.
Thanks! I’m really happy with how it turned out!
Love peaches! My friend made peach wine awhile ago! I just finished Christmas Wine Part 1….
Wow.. peach wine sounds awesome!
This sounds great! I can relate to forgetting about infusions, I have some cherries soaking in the basement from summer 2021!
Haha.. what are making with those cherries? Hope to see them in a video soon!
@@RobsHomeBar Cherry Bounce! I made too much last year, so I never used those
Terrific video Rob! The homemade Peach Liqueur sounds much better than the Peach Schnapps. I am not a fan of the Schnapps, as it always tastes very artificial to me, but I would love to be able to make a homemade Peach Liqueur and I will next summer, when I can access fresh peaches! This is a terrific recipe! I am really looking forward to seeing the cocktails you made with your Peach Liqueur!! The peaches look amazing and will pair so well different spirits!! I'm excited!! Cheers!! 🙂
It’s too bad I couldn’t release the video when peaches were still in season 🤣🤦♂️
@@RobsHomeBar That's okay!! It's a great Peach Liqueur recipe to look forward to using next year! I will use it for sure. I love peaches so much and a good liqueur would be so delicious in cocktails!! 🙂
Hey Rob. Just saw your video. Very interested in making this. Do you know if this is shelf stable or would you need to refrigerate? Thanks.
Shelf stable.. all my liqueurs are shelf stable except those that have egg or cream. My banana liqueur is over 1 year old and no discernible loss of quality
Rob, what are you using to make those awesome stickers?
For the syrup, why not use the peaches that were in the vodka/brandy?
When you infuse a spirit with fruit, all the flavor and juices leach out into the spirit.. the remaining pulp is flavourless.. best to use fresh ingredients for the syrup
Rob this peach liqueur looks amazing. Do you think there'd be any benefit to smooshing up the peaches? Or blending them? Possibly as a way to get more juice out from them? Looks so tasty! And may I suggest the Mountain Man as a great cocktail to make with your delicious new liqueur?? Cheers man!
Thanks! I will try the mountain man for sure! …I think squeezing the peaches is more than sufficient… when I made apricot liqueur, I chopped them much smaller and they became mush, it took AGES to strain and filter!!
@@RobsHomeBar Ohhhh that makes sense! Cut down that filtration process
@@ThroughTheMixingGlass yea also cheese cloth first then coffee filter… apricot, I did just coffee filter… it literally took about 18 hours to filter 🤦♂️
When I do mine I add a pinch or 2 of cayenne (not to taste it but to add a little heat in the throat) really pops the flavour.
I’ve seen Chef John add cayenne to his peach pie so makes sense. I was thinking of adding abit of cinnamon next time too
@@RobsHomeBar cinnamon ya cayenne in everything!
I didn't know peaches were grown in Canada. I have not had a ripe peach since I was a kid! I'm going to search out some Canadian peach growers and see if I can get them shipped
It’s funny.. most of the year, our peaches are imported from the USA… but then in July / august, we start getting the local peaches and wow they are amazing!
You should use a strainer then your coffee filter and it would pour better. Thanks for the recipe.
I usually do! Lol.. not sure why I didn’t here
Pink peaches are even better
This will come in handy for me since I can't find peach schapps. They're out of stock
Fairly easy to make and the flavor is amazing especially if you use local in season peaches!
Something that threw me off is your peach syrup. Something you could've done was buy those canned peaches, and just use the liquid that comes with it. That's pure peach syrup right there
That would totally work ! 🍑
Ugh peeling peaches will take a while. Maybe someday
Honestly you don’t have to… you’re gonna strain it anyway
Love you my guru fantastic
But I was reliably informed that peaches come in a can. They were put there by a man.
I visited that factory downtown, but was informed that I could not have my little way and therefor could not eat peaches every day ☹️
