    This is where I'd put all that goodness in my Vitamix... Blend it, until it liquifies...
    THEN I'd strain it... less waste. More Liqueur...

    We do it a bid different at home, we let the peaches and vodka sit for 2 weeks and then we mix the simple sirup 1 to 1 to make sure the alcohol is half of what the vodka started with, normally we use a 40 vodka and get a 20 liqueur.

    Instead of waiting for 2 weeks for your peaches and your shine to mature ,put your jar in a pot of water and put a sous vide in at135 degrees for 2 hours and you will get more flavour and better blend in no time , don’t go higher than 135 or you will start cooking off your alcohol

    Great video. Like in brewing all grain beer... do you squeeze the bag.. (press any remaining liquid out of the peaches) ?

    Happy 4th of July. God bless our country. I will make this wine today.
    Where do you store the bottle during the second 2 week period after you remove the solids? Cool dark place?

    Question. . . When making corn mash. My mash has been fermenting for about 5 days now. My hydrometer reading is at 0. There is no more sugar for the yeast to eat. Does this mean it’s time to run it?

    I have always heard that fruit will pull the alcohol into itself. Is this true? If so, would there be any advantage to squeeze the fruit and filter it as well?

    • @stillworksandbrewing
      @stillworksandbrewing  11 місяців тому

      That’s a good question yes the fruit does taste strong so I’m going to guess if you can squeeze and filter it

    My orange liqueur took six months to make. Peach liqueur is next. Can't believe it takes such a short period of time.

    Can you do this with frozen peaches? Not store frozen, but taken off my tree and frozen?

    • @stillworksandbrewing
      @stillworksandbrewing  Рік тому +2

      Yes might be better because freezing help break cell walls in the fruit more flavor

      @@stillworksandbrewing thank you very much!! We have peaches on our tree right now I didn’t know what to do with. Don’t want to make just jam or jelly!

    Funny you should mention limoncello, Randy. I just made a bunch of it. Check out this link: ua-cam.com/video/tTZfpeDMKNs/v-deo.html
    My favorite is the creamy limoncello!
