One more thing: check your oil filter cap. If it has no prong with two o rings, it needs replacing. A new one with prong etc. made the biggest difference when I had the idling problem on my 323i. (I did all the other stuff too.)
If you have a bmw car which has misfiring codes or rough idle, and you have changed the plugs and coils or even injectors but the misfiring codes still there and rough idle still persist - just do this. 1. Change your eccentric sensor with a new one, your misfire codes and rough idle will go away for good. *Remember just change/ replace your Eccentric Sensor*
Hi brother, I have an E93 2007 N43 and I have changed everything you have identified apart from the one you are saying. I can only find an eccentric shaft actuator, is the same part you are referring to?
My car was running perfectly fine stopped at the grocery store came back out now it's acting like it's running on half the cylinders what's going on????
There are check valve that are long screws that true in behind the intake and exhaust solenoid not any videos really ever say that or shoulders but they need to be cleaned. Also, that’s a huge huge problem that people never do Saul there a little screw that unscrew behind the intake and exhaust so annoyed and they are check valve. They need to be cleaned Illinois do.
I don’t have a rough idle but it started idling high around 8/900rpm today. I drove it fine this morning but then this afternoon on the way back from the store the rpms stayed up there, oddly enough turning on my AC they went down a bit
@@arisowski yes ended up being my 3rd cylinder spark plug starting to fail. That same day i left for work and it was misfiring. New plugs and coils fixed it for me.
I just had my engine changed on my 2011 328i convertible. And now it has a bad rough idle when turned on. For 10-15 secs seems like forever. Ideas? Also changed out the Footwell module
Nice shirt… Cool of you to try to help people out man, may I provide some added value? You don’t need to remove the air box to clean the MAF just remove the MAF carefully, use a T25 torx, a small flat tip screwdriver, and be careful, plastic is more forgiving when warm. Spray MAF cleaner at a little distance in three, 1 second bursts, give 10 seconds between bursts Cleaning the Vanos without actuation is pointless, I hear there’s a cool video on cleaning them on UA-cam… Start with a code scan with a bmw suitable scanner. Mark the coils then swap coils around see if the code follows a coil, if so, replace that coil or all 6 coils and plugs for preventative maintenance if it’s affordable at that time👨🏻🔧 Misfires can be caused for lots of reasons, including needing a software update and a failed DME, especially if you have worn plugs and old coils and drive till they all fail one by one, that causes the electronics undue stress. CCV leaks are another cause of rough idle and misfires, check your valvetronic motor area for oil, that failed gasket, and the eccentric shaft sensor seal, and the CCV hose from the valve cover to the manifold at the back, guess what..? Those are CCV leaks feeding the engine un-metered air, and will cause rough idle and misfires, along with mass air codes due to low air flow Also have a look at the passenger side engine mount, there’s another cool video I know of about that motor mount too! Thank you bro, I pulled over to do number 5 and it worked instantly. Car is running smooth as ever!

@@E9NAM it's the sensor at the front of the valve cover by the first coil. Can't miss it
@@Bimmerfiend do you have a part number please?
yes this will work too
How many hours of labor to replace that one part?
The only guy that said sorry for being wrong

What was it?
You most likely need to replace the coil packs; a scanner will tell you which one is failing, but it's best to replace all 6, each time
May God bless you and your family, I pray may God give good health and happy life to you and your family bro. Tq so much bro
Informative video, thanks for the content. Straight to the point, helped me fix the rough idle on my e90. Also who is your barber?
😂😂😂
How about the vanos return valves? Those are the most important to clean.
If none of these options work then you may want to replace your injectors. You can get remanufactured ones fairly cheap.
GREAT VIDEO FOUND IT WHAT ABOUT A BAD PCV VALVE? U EVER REPLAACE ONE w/o removing VALVE COVER??
That actually could be a culprit as well. I Haven’t replaced mine...
Great informational tips. Thanks
Thanks and no problem!

If you unplugged the battery and disconnected DME, can this cause the idle speed to get screwed? Is it a matter of programming it with the DME?
Awesome video. Huge help thank you
Guys if you change vanous or clean check valves you have to recal vatrnic motor.
Thans again for all your help been fighting this crappy idle issue for month now
Is it normal when start weather and shaking and engine light come.up
I wouldn’t say that’s normal lol
Job done thanks pal 👍
Thanks i will try that
ive tried 1/5 lets see if the other 4v do it
Could it be that the new I gone sensor is not calibrated with the engine sensor code?
i had rough idle and it was just maf plug, cleaned and fixed with rubber bands
Nice!
Dude! your shirt is pink😂 nice vid
Such nice lighting

Did you resolve high idle somehow ? I had the same problem, pulled codes and it was a single code of 2a43. A few days later idle became a bit rough

no clue sorry :(
How much did it cost you to get your engine changed?
subbed bro🤜
Which has less repair issues , 2011 328 I wagon (without turbo) or the newer 2012/ 2014 (with turbo) ? I heard turbos cause more repair issues
2011 has the n52 engine and is very reliable.
Thanks bro!🙌🏽🤙🏽
Thanks
Some one help me please it happen to be and I’m panicking cuz i got a check engine light too
Whats going on exactly?
thanks! gave me some good ideas :)

The last one the weird noise is the electric water pump coming on lmao nothing to do with idle
Yeah it's to bleed the system of air and won't do anything to fix rough idle
