I love these little peeks into your psyche. I love that you share your collections and your knowledge with all of us !
Another fantastic video ❤️ Thank you so much
Absolutely gorgeous, thank you so much for sharing these beautiful pieces with us. I love your videos, your collections and everything you do!
Doris is such a cool lady! She’s who I want to be when I grow up!
Excellent episode.
Are you familiar with Martha Sturdy here in Canada? She is a sculptor who did a line of jewelry in the 80’s (and some home decor). I have a couple of her pieces that are similar to yours. Love them.
loved this collection : ) always fascinating to learn something new from you Doris
I wonder if the people who originally owned these pieces ever guessed or suspected how much we would treasure them.
I can't help but notice how fantastic you look. I don't mean that to be creepy, you just look like you're feeling and doing well for yourself is all.
I'm so glad to hear you found such a lovely piece in Santiago, Chile as I am from Valparaíso, Chile.
yay! I requested a Brutalist/Modernist jewelry episode way back when! So happy to see this! I have a bit of a collection myself. I've been pretty lucky to find a few quite interesting pieces for very cheap at thrift stores. It's the main thing I look for when hunting.
Are those links that she mentioned that are similar in Brutalist pieces called “bones”?
The necklace you have on is just so beautiful! Definitely something I’ll think of as an inspiration when shopping for jewelry. Loved the video ❤️
Such a unique collection to cover. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and bringing attention to these fascinating pieces.
My love for doris is ever growing😇❤❤
I enjoyed this view into your collection! Your comment “it’s not for sale” made me actually laugh out loud. I always find pieces in your personal collection that I am envious of. Thank you again for sharing this view to your subbies!
Have a great weekend ☺️
It is ALWAYS such a treat when you share with us your collections Doris. Thank you!
Wow, you seriously have some amazingly beautiful pieces
Thank you for definitions on brutalism and modernism. Most of your audience is probably more advanced than I am.
Lovely to see you looking so well Doris. Thank you for sharing these pieces with us.much love from Zoe in South Africa 🇿🇦🙏🏻
Doris I absolutely love your commentary and insight into your fashion expertise. Never stop making these videos. They are well appreciated!
I just this last week purchased an amazing Pal Kepenyes necklace and was thrilled to hear you speak of the pieces in your collection. I collect many, many things, and love when I find special jewelry pieces. My collection of jewelry may not be considered fine, but each piece is fine to me.
Oh my goodness what a fantastic collection! Getting into “brutalist” pieces the past few years & have found some lovely Native American copper pieces I love- but I’m bowled over by what you showed! Be well! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️
Omg Doris! I sold my art smith 3 tong cuff, that I paid 3$ for at a yard sale , for 4,000$. I should of charged more but I barely knew anything about this stuff. Great collection.
I love that you show us your passion! Be well and healthy.
Beautiful pieces. You're so fascinating and knowledgeable.
Doris, you look absolutely sparkling in this video! Do you know the Finnish brutalist jewellery designers? They made some gorgeous pieces inspired by Nordic / Arctic nature.
I’ve been collecting Erstwilder pieces, great fun and very wearable. What do others collect?
Doris babbling about jewelry is absolutely why I’m here. You guys are awesome. Keep up the amazing work 👏👏👏
I love brutalist jewelry because sometimes it is made from basic metals- or pot metals. The design is more important than the value of the materials. To me, there is definitely a connection between European brutalist design and anything goes hippy culture design. Thanks for showing us this collection. It is fun to go to 1st Dibs and drool over what is for sale there...
Really informative! Once again a learning experience, well aware of the Brutalist movement in Architecture and familiar with this sort of Sculptural jewellery but had never put the Brutalist and Modernist label on them, so I feel much more knowledgeable about it now, Thanks Doris, beautiful pieces...Great show as usual...
BONE LINK CHAIN -- I don't remember what how you described this style of chain. THANKS FOR THIS POST! FABULOUS!
Love the jewelry info! I have been attracted to vintage since birth! Love your channel
First time viewing . So enjoyed watching and listening. Jewelry is awesome. Thank You for sharing.
Thank you very much for that. I’ve not seen your videos before and didn’t recognise any of the names (except Crawford). However, I love exquisite and unusual jewellery and your pieces were beautiful- particularly the Peruvian and the unidentifiable piece with the little floating stone.
There may be “trends” in jewellery also, like fashion, but a unique piece that says something about YOU can be worn no matter the mode of the moment.
People forget that, in the rush of designer handbags and Pandora beads.
I ant to shout out your Staff Doris they are kind and approachable. Patient as I and my 5 year old Granddaughter visited Shop while visiting Family . We’d been toLa Brea Tar Pit that day I was close so we parked in Food Store Lot and braved the traffic . IAM thrilled with all the choices. Granddaughter loved looking as well and was going all over the place and I kept 👁 she didn’t miss handle anything. We will be back again when visiting. Thanks a million
Thank you for sharing such interesting and exquisite pieces.
Thank you so much for sharing your passion! I really enjoyed this video and the sparkle in your eyes!

Beautiful collection, thank you for sharing with us.
Wow Doris is looking so beautiful!
It sure how I ended up here. How fun thank you for your insight these beautiful pieces. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
That pearl necklace really stood out for me
Do you have any African inspired jewelry?
I love the collection and thank you thank you thank you for valuing the design over the name! I thought I was alone in that!
Beautiful jewelry! The turquoise face necklace you wore for this video could be attributed possibly to the Hungarian scultpor/jewelry artisan Pál Kepenyes. He lived in Russian occupied Hungary in the late 1940s-50s and went to live and work as an artist in Acapulco, Mexico where he died at 94 in 2021. Known as a Brutalist jewelry designer, he did similar face sculpture/jewelry with turquoise, copper, silver.
I have several pieces by Pal Keoenyes and love his work. The necklace feels less “bumpy” than the bronze pieces I have by him. When I have time, I would love to try to find the artist that made it.
Thanks for your interest!
You’re a gem yourself. Thank you.
All your videos are fantastic, but this one was a special treat! Jewelry in all of its forms, from haute joaillerie to fine, designer to costume to tribal/indigenous, modern or antique, art and artisanal jewelry is such a fascinating subject. More videos on jewelry from you are always welcome!
You are so wonderful! Thank you for sharing your wisdom. I will visit your magical store next time I'm in the states

Wow! What a marvelous collection! What I love the most about vintage pieces, is that there is so much to admire in just one piece of jewerly. The craftsmen ship is truly mindblowing. Thank you for sharing, I'm definitely going to check out the Crawford collection.
Another gorgeous video! You are the best!!
Wow, thank you!
Yes love your collections just fabulous
Thank you so much!
Cads…not cards.
One of my favourite episodes thus far ❤️
Doriiis, I just woke up... and now, before a long-long workday, seeing your video makes me so happy 🙂 Thank you for yet another content treasure. Wishing you all the best from Hungary!
Jewelry is something I need to learn more and Doris delivered. What an inspiring video to learn further and discover archive designs✨❤️My philosophy towards choosing what pieces to purchase are somehow similar to you Doris. I pick pieces that are from older collections. Some of them are even unheard of. So I agree with you with choosing what hits your guts hence I go for statement pieces and you have a variety of statement neckpieces here😊 I love the Brutalist pcs that you presented. See I am a fan of Rick Owens so this is insightful for me considering his jewelry is bordering to that art movement
Love... always great, interesting content.. thank you Doris💚 hope you are well...I

And you’re looking so wonderful, Doris!!
I’m bringing out my mother’s “Brutalists “ pieces!
You have such an eclectic heart you make it possible for there to be something for every taste and style when one comes to Doris!
My late Father was a jewelry maker and sculpture artist. He made things like these and I'm sure was educated/inspired from the things you showed. Thank you I lived the video! Keep up the good work, Doris!!!! Xxoo
Doris we all love you and appreciate you so much. Your videos are inspiring. This particular one was edited beautifully and the narration by you was so articulate and well-informed. Thank you for always giving your kind and caring salutations at the end. I hope you have safe travels. 💟 💟
Love your Chanel and your store
First time on your page..I'm very intrigued by all your lovely unusual pieces of artistic jewelry..
First time viewer and so delighted to have found you & this series! Great video. Love your collection and your personal style. You have such a breezy presence and lyrical speaking voice. You made me LOL with “doubles as a weapon” as I often say that too. Looking foreword to watching more and visiting your store in a future trip.
Wonderful collection.Thank you for sharing.
I am moved by how you speak about jewelry. I also have such an appreciation for design, materials, the energy/emotion imbued in pieces but the artist. It doesn’t have to be expensive to be important and valued by the wearer. Thank you for your videos.
you are honestly such an inspiration to me. you were one of the people who inspired me to start collecting vintage. and now i have a wardrobe packed with it ❤️❤️ this just introduced me into a whole new world of jewelry and i’m HOOKED!! thank you doris!
I am going to be brutally truthful. Some of the jewelry you showed is ugly and I would never be caught dead in it. It looks like junk and the so called designers are frauds. I would not pay 2 cents for some of it. Jewelry like art should be beautiful. I am not talking about all of it. Some of it is beautiful. I love steampunk and native pieces. But others look like they should be melted down and the materials should be reused. Much of modern art is a scam and only worth something to money laundering operations. I would be very hesitant to put any significant amount of money in some of it. But as with all collections, buy what you like so even if no one else likes it and it isn't worth anything on the market, you still like it and wont mind that it isn't worth anything to anyone else For me, I don't like much of that. .
I admire collectors because of their discipline. I just buy what I like and I do not collect.
You look amazing! You have the sparkle back in your eye. I'm so glad to see you looking healthy and glamourous. Cheers!
Doris ,have been loving you videos . I have no doubt that you employ very knowledge-based staff . Let them take a turn . If you trust them to work at your business . Trust them to represent your business . I say this so we do not miss episodes . Love you , love your knowledge . Let your staff have a go .
OMG! You have some absolutely stunning pieces. So many of them I would gravitate to if I had the funds. I mean, wow. Thanks for this one, I learned a lot, including that I’m not strange for loving things like this. Stay well, kiddo.
The kinetic necklace in the thumbnail at 6:15 is clearly a Time Turner! It’s even got an hourglass shape! 😄🧙♂️⚡️
Would love if Doris did a vintage makeup tutorial. She is so interesting ! Love your channel ❤
Thanks so much for sharing your collection. You are looking great. Enjoy your time away. I look forward to your next posting.
Gosh! If only I could hit 'like' a hundred times. Cute how you said 'not for sale' 🤣🤣
Great to see you looking fabulous! I really love this episode because jewellery of any kind is my jam. These are just so lovely and special. Thanks for this, Doris. xx
I didn't even realize the necklace you had on was in the shape of a face until you pointed it out (I thought it looked a bit like a bird, at first)! Afterwards, I couldn't stop staring at it, it's so unique! Really enjoyed this video -- love learning the history and details of jewelry, they truly are little pieces of art!✨
As always I loved the episode, can I just give a sugestion? I am not a native english speaker so sometimes I don't understand the names, it would be really awesome if the editor could put it on the screen so that we could research the artists works ourselves. Thank you and keep up the great work!
So wonderful. I always buy jewellry that speaks to me.
Some very interesting jewelry to feast my eyes on. We love love love love jewelry. Blessings on All Souls Day.
Great episode! And your hair looks wonderful.
I love this! Thanks for sharing! 😊👍🏼
Some of those Brutalist pieces remind me of Mad Max.
You are lovely and I enjoy your sharing of beautiful things!
One of my all-time favorite things--jewelry! I don't necessarily look to purchase that which everyone else has (sometimes I do) but I purchase that which speaks to ME! I like what I like. Sometimes I can afford what I like--sometimes I can't. I do love looking at (and wearing) pieces that speak! Great collection!
Wonderful video! I enjoy every video from Doris because of her enthusiasm in sharing her knowledge and love of the pieces featured :)
Doris, your videos are always a joy. Your energy and passion for garments and jewelry as art is wonderful. I enjoy your warmth and your appreciation of beauty.
Great vid on your own personal favorites. Have a safe trip and I hope you find some amazing goodies. TFS.
