@Korvus I'm sure of it, and for me the replaceable cable makes it SUPER worth it. My headset in the past would break every 5 to 6 months because the cord wore out so I had to buy a 12-month warranty on it every time I got the replacement. These are great as the original cord that came with them broke so I just bought a cheap TRRS cable (a cable with a mic line in it as well as the stereo lines). The original cord was great quality though and I broke it in a stupid way (I dropped the headset and it pulled on the cord and basically bent the connector). The build quality of the headphones is great and I am still using these. So I definitely recommend them.

Therefore it will constantly get stuck on the table top when it is hanging down straight. I put a piece of shrink tube over it to make it slide over the tabletop edge.
I would HIGHLY recommend that people buy replacement ear pads for these. The ear pads wear down pretty quick and the speaker inside each ear cup is larger than what was inside the could 1 and 2. So if you have large ears like I do, those speakers will chafe and hurt your ears over time. Other than that, this headset is great.

You're right about the removable cable. I'm fed up of breaking headsets by having cables coming off the internals by an accidental tug or the cable catching on something. That alone will have me going for these. Shame about the lack of 7.1 and non-changeable ear pads.
I just bought Cloud Alpha yesterday and it has really good quality sound cause i tested Cloud II too in a tech market it has difference. i need some quick advice. my astro a50 mic is going out and i’m looking to get another headset. i’ve narrowed it down to the cloud alphas and the sehnessier game zeros. any advice with which one i should get?
I'd personally go for the cloud alphas because it's cheaper (according to amazon at least) and it has a removable mic and cable. But it's really up to you. If you like the design of the game zero's, nobody can tell you no :)
I love the hyper x cloud series best series for under or right at $100 in durability sound quality and comfort I would recommend to anyone wanting a headset 10/10 for the average gamer
Phobic Rapter hello, I bought them and the audio is very good, the footsteps of the enemies are perfectly heard. by chance have you noticed a lower sound compared to other headphones? to me it seems lower in volume but more precise, what do you say?
One thing that worries me are those little cables between the headband and the earcups. Do they break easily? Like i had one headphones with those tiny cables and now they are broken.
Considering how long they and how they're braided, it shouldn't break easily. It's long enough for the earcups to swivel at maximum angles and still have some slack. Unless it catches onto something and is forcefully pulled, there's no reason it'll break on you for regular use.
With one problem: this headset generates feedback signal from speakers to mic line. As the result all my team-mates have echo. Problem is localized in the "remote control" unit, I believe. I send the first one back, got replacement unit but it is still there. So, this is a great headset, just unusable ;-)
It's always like that. You can even remove the mic and the headset will still generate the echo. It's because this is not an acoustic issue but electric issue.
I hope someone sees this, I’m not sure if I should get this or the Cloud II. I’m a gamer who usually plays games like CoD and battle royales so I need to have good sound to hear footsteps and movement, which headset should I get?
Should i get that or studio headphones (Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm)? Or maybe Astro A40? I want headphones that are comfortable and good for playing r6 siege and cs n stuff, Good for pinpointing enemies. And also listening music. Any suggestions? EDIT: Or maybe Logitech G Pro headset? Thats under 100 euros too... damn hard to decide.
I have the same Beyerdynamics in the 80 ohm version. I had the Alpha's but I sold them after I bought AKG K702's, I use the 770 for bass music and single player gaming and the AKG for softer stuff and multiplayer gaming where sound is more important. The AKG are open back, and so they are really good for pinpointing enemies and hearing different instruments, the 770 are still OK for this (much better than any gaming headset I've tried so far) but they don't compare to the AKG's soundstage which is fine because they aren't trying too. Some people say the 770 are too bassy and have a spike in the mids but I don't have a problem with them, the bass is moderate, I've heard comments that state that the bass is almost 1 note, I agree with this somewhat, whereas the AKG's bass is completely different. The AKG's bass doesn't shake, it's not very punchy at all and can be underwhelming but I can really tell the difference in the bass frequencies which I've never experienced before. So far, in terms of Gaming headsets I've had Alpha's, LucidSound LS20's (shocking build quality) and Turtle Beach XO 7 Pro's (oddly my faves as I don't usually like TB) both the studio headphones blew them away.
@@obenzie yeah I recommend them, they are only 62 ohms, still harder to power than the standard 32 ohms. It depends really, are you using for pc? If so what's your onboard audio like, I can run them off my b450 gaming pro carbon, I use a behringer umc202hd just because that's what my mics go through but can't tell the difference between that and my soundcard....
i got the alphas the audio is way better then arctis 3 terrible headset for the price in term of sound quality arctis 3 had reverse problem fine mids and high with minor imperfections but extremely lack in bass but alphas are not near perfect at all the bass is fine but other sound gets underperformed and it feels unbalanced bass is on point where it feels like cinematic the deeper the bass the louder bass gets but other sounds volume sounds a bit low then used to alphas sound like they are bass boosted and im no audiophile but it feels they are also DT 770pro 80ohms is from what ive heard similar family to takstar 80s that is rebranded into hyperX clouds alphas will benefit from equalizer or external sound card but never tried as for EQ its minor imperfections is alpha worth it only get it at a discount but theres always better alternatives for more or same price if you dont want to be dependent on custom EQ that can impact audio recordings these are a solid 7.5/10 at best but i need to experience more headsets to know the difference
The mute Button does not actually mute the headphones mic completely, it still leaks the sound from the headphones Mic. Dont know is the issues with my headphones or it works same way
hyperx paid you? cuz i got these for around christmas and they are heavy, for more than 1 hour the clamp force kinda hurts, and for about 2 hours is like having a ton on your head you need to take a break
Bass = low frequencies Footsteps = high frequencies (treble) Clouds are treble focused and can't handle bass Currently idk about the alpha, but the cloud 2 has 9khz spike @ 100dB, it makes ME sick cause I'm sensitive to highs. I recommend you buy a natural sounding headphone, if possible an open-back one with flat frequency response (sennheiser, audio technica, beyerdynamic, audeze, hifiman, monoprice...)

does this headphone has high clamping force? I want a very high clamping force, I bought the hyperx cloud stinger and I was disappointed with the low clamping force. if this headphone doens't have a very high clamping force, do you recommend any other with high clamping?
Clamping force is pretty strong with these ones
Romsicle
Still recommend in mid 2020?
If so should I buy these or Cloud Stinger Wireless?
One last thing, do they have one single jack 3.5 mm or do they have those two red and green things to connect them to the computer?
i need some quick advice. my astro a50 mic is going out and i’m looking to get another headset. i’ve narrowed it down to the cloud alphas and the sehnessier game zeros. any advice with which one i should get?
I'd personally go for the cloud alphas because it's cheaper (according to amazon at least) and it has a removable mic and cable. But it's really up to you. If you like the design of the game zero's, nobody can tell you no :)
I use HyperX Cloud 2 ;) so fucking good
Which should I get? Razer Kraken pro v2 or HyperX Cloud Alpha?
Alphas
Should I get them for Realtek ALC892?
is it worth buying the alpha?
Is it the same as cloud ps4 and unfortunately no 7.1 surround sound
Should I get these or the steel series Arctic 5? I am on Xbox btw
I've got this headset but the Mic doesn't work can someone tell me please reply
See if it's plugged in all the way by the ear cup, thank me later!
@@atrocitus9804 I managed to work the Mic, it wasn't plugged in all the way before you wrote the comment but thanks anyway
Charlie Tizzard How did you manage it? I have this problem, too.
@@davutkulaksiz make sure it's plugged in all the way
Great review and all But you forgot to talk about the sound quality
Great video and review
Thanks, appreciate it man
With one problem: this headset generates feedback signal from speakers to mic line. As the result all my team-mates have echo. Problem is localized in the "remote control" unit, I believe. I send the first one back, got replacement unit but it is still there. So, this is a great headset, just unusable ;-)
Yup, all models have same issue but noone talks about it. Cable and microphone are trash. Replaced mine aswell and had same issue.
The mic captures the sound coming from the headset speakers? It always like that or only when the sound is on max volume?
It's always like that. You can even remove the mic and the headset will still generate the echo. It's because this is not an acoustic issue but electric issue.
I have this headset 1 month and I have to say its beast!
Just purchased these should be here Saturday👀
The bass is great
Ik this was 10 months ago but do u still have them with any problems??
Myles Davison no problem at all still working like new💯
Can you tell me i have Cloud 2 what is diff from alpha and cloud??
I hope someone sees this, I’m not sure if I should get this or the Cloud II. I’m a gamer who usually plays games like CoD and battle royales so I need to have good sound to hear footsteps and movement, which headset should I get?
Romsilce do you know How to fix you mic because i have the headset but the mic is Really bad
You could ask HyperX to get you a replacement mic - might have to pay a fee if youre not on warranty.
@@zejoesif So do you recommend the AKG K702? And does it need an amplifier?
@@obenzie yeah I recommend them, they are only 62 ohms, still harder to power than the standard 32 ohms. It depends really, are you using for pc? If so what's your onboard audio like, I can run them off my b450 gaming pro carbon, I use a behringer umc202hd just because that's what my mics go through but can't tell the difference between that and my soundcard....
@@obenzie saying that the alphas are 65 ohms, you should be fine
I have the hyper xcloud headphones but I have more voice sound in my left speaker! How do I fix this?
it’s just your left ear is more dominant
Do they have surround sound? Would they be good for battle royal games?
Gabe P i have them there great for battle royal games
@@jacobt379 thanke! :)
You can purchase a pair of 7.1 virtual dongles from the Hyper X website and they cost about $30.
@@garrettbyrne3895 okay, do you know if they work with console?
@@gabe2632 the revolver s 7.1 surround sound dongle will work with these on console, honestly dont need em though imo.
i got the alphas
the audio is way better then arctis 3 terrible headset for the price in term of sound quality
arctis 3 had reverse problem fine mids and high with minor imperfections but extremely lack in bass
but alphas are not near perfect at all the bass is fine but other sound gets underperformed and it feels unbalanced bass is on point where it feels like cinematic the deeper the bass the louder bass gets but other sounds volume sounds a bit low then used to
alphas sound like they are bass boosted and im no audiophile but it feels they are
also DT 770pro 80ohms is from what ive heard similar family to takstar 80s that is rebranded into hyperX clouds
alphas will benefit from equalizer or external sound card but never tried as for EQ its minor imperfections
is alpha worth it only get it at a discount but theres always better alternatives for more or same price if you dont want to be dependent on custom EQ that can impact audio recordings these are a solid 7.5/10 at best but i need to experience more headsets to know the difference
I had these for over a year now.
Would those headphones be better In console or on pc
I hate that people can hear what is going on in your headset ...
In party chat??
@@mylesdavison4429 No, it was actually a question
@@mylesdavison4429 i heard from someone that the miv picks up the sound from inside ur headset
Is that true?
Pajo idk i havent got the headset i was gng to but that is putting me off
bro are they better than cloud 2 if yes than why plz reply
then*
A removable cable - that's the only reason why it's better.
thank you bro
I dont know what to do should i get this first or a gaming chair first?
Gaming chairs aren't a necessity, but good audio is a must have :) Buy it with my links in the description!
The mute Button does not actually mute the headphones mic completely, it still leaks the sound from the headphones Mic. Dont know is the issues with my headphones or it works same way
There's probably an issue with yours. The mute switch is supposed to cut off all microphone functions so there should be no pick up.
If your mute button does not work like mine, remove the mic when you have to mute
Listening with my Alphas, HuHuHuHu
Is it good for mobile?

Bro Alpha or Cloud 2?
i just bought mine and this came in recomended.
hyperx paid you? cuz i got these for around christmas and they are heavy, for more than 1 hour the clamp force kinda hurts, and for about 2 hours is like having a ton on your head you need to take a break
I wish they paid me - it really depends on the size of your head - it will be tighter the smaller your head is
Don't worry my baby cloud 2, i still love you. No matter how tattered and dirty you've become, you still look beautiful.
AKACS The cloud 2’s are my absolutely favourite headset
Does the mic work when connected with a phone? Does the mic work when u connect the headset with the normal single cable?

@@Romsicle haha. Nopemy mic isnt working with the samsung s9 nor with the tablet. Not for calling, not on pubg, fortnite
I bought those yesterday for 50€ on finland
@@kachmarmohamed7585 you can find them in teknikmagasinet rn for 50 euros
Which is better alpha or cloud 2?? I love big bass, so i can hear footstep better
Bass = low frequencies
Footsteps = high frequencies (treble)
Clouds are treble focused and can't handle bass
Currently idk about the alpha, but the cloud 2 has 9khz spike @ 100dB, it makes ME sick cause I'm sensitive to highs.
I recommend you buy a natural sounding headphone, if possible an open-back one with flat frequency response (sennheiser, audio technica, beyerdynamic, audeze, hifiman, monoprice...)
nice video... i have the Razer Kraken this Headset have so much comfort
