Nah i ised dual blades for the first t I'll me since my testing in gen on him recently and i shut his power down twice first try. Its the blades that matter.
@@elflordyt6830 you should be able to beat him with any weapon you choose, hes terribly imbalanced, you have to play incredibly well in order to shut him down with something like Greatsword or Hammer, i should know, ive beaten him with every melee weapon using the appropriate elemental build for each one, and thats after killing him over 110 times solo xD if he wasnt so fun id have just beaten him once with each weapon and called it a day. Love fighting him with Horn personally.

I honestly really don't like fighting Alatreon, but this is fantastic. Just really gives off the feeling of an elemental brute, and the sound design is class. Really impressed with this one so far.
I solo'd him last night, took me 30 minutes xD when I heard the 3/3U quest clear theme, the nostalgia was so strong it almost brought me to tears, great run!

@@The.Brother.in.Christ This is a use element and "get good" fight. There are no tricks to it really, if you don't do good you will die to the escaton judgement no matter what you do. I can guarantee there is no way to survive the non-weakened judgement solo, so you have to fight it as the devs intended. Use dragon or ice as they are the most consistent elements and try to find ways to hit the head and forearms more since this fight is like a big dps check. Even with 4 people I question if it is possible to survive escaton not weakened with every recovery skill maxed based on my team's efforts. We focused more on weakening it than surviving the non-weakened version though.
@@stormetro6046 it's not possible to survive without weakening even as four team using health booster and healing. If you weaken it you'll laugh at his judgment. But without weakening your life is forfeit no matter what you try. Trust me, been there😔. Even while weakened its best to group up and use health boosters.

They don’t know what alatreon truly has in store, you gotta fight that boy back in mhtri and get rng screwed with alatreon flying for half an hour, the old Alatreon kept his head high making it hard to hit, this one just screams hit me with a ton of laggy moves lmao, looks nice tho, except water element on his looks bad
I actually managed to beat Alatreon using this build but tweeked for less attack in exchange for Vitality, i also used dragon element instead of Ice since im not fortunate to have been blessed with the Ice DBs thanks for uploading this
So far he killed me twice. But I won't give up. Soon he'll fall before me! But seriously he is harder than any Arch Tempered Monster yet I enjoy him far more than most of them. edit: Sixth time was the charm.^^
I enjoy his difficulty it's a great challenge but when you only die to his nova because you didn't manage to get enough elemental damage in it gets frustrating Tried it 8 hours yesterday

this has taught me a lot on what i havent been doing to fight this beast! protective polish, rock steady, and dashing into his fire aoe after the first pulse.
putting that clutch claw boost sounds great too! and the fact that lightning doesn't hit near his front claws. i need to try this! the wet fish stone is great too! solves mid-combat speed sharpen! i learned soo much from this!
Today after one year of trying, I finally beat Alatreon. Took me countless tries, and countless carts. And then there's Canta doing it like it was nothing.
The elemental dps check reset every flinch happened, so yeah, you can flinch more than once every cycle. But the effect won't stack as it will weaken the nova as if you flinch it just once. CMIIW tho
Except for the DPS check for the hypernova, I love his moveset, much more aggressive and merciless in its use of elements, and not impaired to one element whether he was on the ground or flying like in MH3 and Generations.

That wasn't Escaton. When blue sparks surround him, he's about to rain lightning. However, once you stagger him like that the actual Escaton Judgement does less damage your chances of survival go up exponentially

5:12 if you have the full Safi b set you can i-frame that move. Did it a few times by accident. The Evade Window 3 is enough. Maybe lower, but I didnt tested it.
This person and I have almost the exact same build. Only difference is that I put in a bunch of either attack, element, or stamina/prolonger type jewels, but have the same charm. Awesome build man, you did fantastic!

Hope so as well. It's a fun fight. Usually I get 10-15 kills in the first week any new monster is being released, but I killed Alatreon 25 times just in a few days now. Super fun fight!

Made the poor fella look like a great Jagras, had no chance. Btw can’t not appreciate the amount of knowledge of its move set and the pre demon combos before it even landed in the db kill zone.
After looking for days to figure that move out, I think this is what he's doing. A dash cancel to the rising slash, to the round slashes, to claw attack. X (dash), immediately ▲ (rising slash), ⚫ ,⚫,L2. It has to be something like that as you can see his stamina bar drop when he does it.
You need to do enough elemental damage to it to trigger a special topple animation (example @1:12) which will then weaken the damage of that explosion and allow you to outheal it, ideally with a jerky or max potion
Well actually te only thin ou shouldn't take away is attacking the horns while he isn't in dragon element The horns have the worst elemental hitzones and will increase the ammount of elemental damage needed for clearing the DPS check by 50% His front legs are the best area, followed by his back legs

I love how people who are new to world hate this fight, but people who have been playing since the 3U-4U days absolutely love it. I haven’t felt this level of fear since the time i soloed beyond the crimson veil, or ATTEMPTED to solo Clashing Fists!
As a Dual Blades user, your run is very inspiring!!! I managed to beat him solo but I died 3 times during the fight and it lasted nearly 30 min! I'm too scared to get near his face so I focus on his back legs lol. I also like this fight very much. Cheers!
god, i dont know how difficult it might be soloing this guy when he first came out. i dont remember but i dont use safi and only use frostfang sns back then and probably raging brachy set, granted i didnt solo it but still feels damn good when i finally able to defeat him with another 3 randoms, i used to hate the fight, but after obtaining safi and kulve weapons and AT velkhana set, i totally fall in love with the fight, such an amazing game
Deal enough elemental damage so he falls to the ground and the npc's say "good job containing Alatreon's power" or something like that. After that his next Judgement does significantly less damage so that two Jerky's heal you ocmpletely if you only have 150 health and 1 jerky and a mega potion heal you completely if you have 200 and wait long enough before you take the jerky.
Agreed. Alatreon's movement pattern is the same as the other cat-skeletoned elder dragons. If you're soloing it, don't bring your cat. Trust me it easier that way, because ala will focus on you alone and it will be easier to read the attack. Also if you're able to soap opera-esque flinch it at least once every cycle (1 cycle is roughly 5 min) , the escaton judgement is survivable. If you can break the horn when it switch to dragon mode (which marks second half of every cycle), the next cycle won't be the opposing element. Say for example you chose the death star quest (ala will start with ice active), 1st cycle you flinch, ala goes dragon, you break the horn once, goes nova, 2nd cycle begin with same element as 1st cycle (in this case ice). Thus, if you want to use fire/ice weapon, you need to break the horn when ala goes dragon active or otherwise you'll be guaranteed dead on second cycle when it switches to opposing element. Except if you can flinch it when it goes dragon which pretty hard to do using fire/ice.
The judgement is really no problem...i learned to play DB just 2h before now. After that, my first quest was Alatreon with DB. I reached the elemental DPS check in just 1 min. Its really not hard, i nearly killed him in my first try but i was stupid and used the rocksteady matle in the wrong moment. Well rip to me 😅🤷🏼♂️
Capcom: "So how do we make Alatreon's ultimate attack more broken?" Employee: "How about we set the threshold to stop it so high that not even CantaPerMe can stop all of them?" Capcom: "Brilliant"
Canta's Alatreon judgement is a cakewalk compared to the damage I've been blasted with during hunts with randoms in SOS lmao. The rate of my health decreasing rivals the speed of light. Think I'll try to solo him at this point.
So I want to really highlight why this is impressive. If you use an overlay mod, you can see that Alatreon has 55k health in solo. You have to do at least 1.3k damage to knock him over all the time, and the constant pressure was amazing. Congrats on soloing this creature. I'm still trying myself

Wails on the horns for 80%+ of the fight,still no 2nd horn break.Seems they did well remaking Tri Alatreon.
It only breaks in dragon state, and only 1 horn can break per state, he has to enter dragon state for the second time for you to break both horns.

I managed to topple him twice before every Judgement with the Insect Glaive aswell.
Thats not escaton, and a canceled escaton is just like normal but the damage is slow

How do you skip the demon flurry rush at 0:33?
After looking for days to figure that move out, I think this is what he's doing. A dash cancel to the rising slash, to the round slashes, to claw attack. X (dash), immediately ▲ (rising slash), ⚫ ,⚫,L2. It has to be something like that as you can see his stamina bar drop when he does it.
He just made a dragon fillet out of Alatreon. What a beast!

What's the menu move at 8:05 to avoid damage from the explosion? That thing always kills me.
You need to do enough elemental damage to it to trigger a special topple animation (example @1:12) which will then weaken the damage of that explosion and allow you to outheal it, ideally with a jerky or max potion
There is no “menu move” lol, he was just showing his build while he waited for the animation for escaton judgement finished

Well actually te only thin ou shouldn't take away is attacking the horns while he isn't in dragon element
The horns have the worst elemental hitzones and will increase the ammount of elemental damage needed for clearing the DPS check by 50%
His front legs are the best area, followed by his back legs

(yeah, initially people say to use DBs because it deals elemental damages quickly, but I really love IG on that it has more reach, and just avoiding the monster's attacks by jumping and flying around lol, had so much fun on IG with Safi and Alatreon)

I love how people who are new to world hate this fight, but people who have been playing since the 3U-4U days absolutely love it. I haven’t felt this level of fear since the time i soloed beyond the crimson veil, or ATTEMPTED to solo Clashing Fists!

The way you dodge the multiple circular fire explosions seems pretty effective to save some time

Meanwhile, I spend nearly 12 hours on multiple hunts and get Dragonsphires and Skypiercers.
I have his everything including his Palicogear, killed him 35 Times and two Times solo, whit Ig and DBs.

As a Dual Blades user, your run is very inspiring!!! I managed to beat him solo but I died 3 times during the fight and it lasted nearly 30 min! I'm too scared to get near his face so I focus on his back legs lol. I also like this fight very much. Cheers!

god, i dont know how difficult it might be soloing this guy when he first came out. i dont remember but i dont use safi and only use frostfang sns back then and probably raging brachy set, granted i didnt solo it but still feels damn good when i finally able to defeat him with another 3 randoms, i used to hate the fight, but after obtaining safi and kulve weapons and AT velkhana set, i totally fall in love with the fight, such an amazing game

Ala attacks are well balanced except for the judgement, everything else is perfect. I can’t survive that judgement solo man.....
Deal enough elemental damage so he falls to the ground and the npc's say "good job containing Alatreon's power" or something like that. After that his next Judgement does significantly less damage so that two Jerky's heal you ocmpletely if you only have 150 health and 1 jerky and a mega potion heal you completely if you have 200 and wait long enough before you take the jerky.
Agreed. Alatreon's movement pattern is the same as the other cat-skeletoned elder dragons.
If you're soloing it, don't bring your cat. Trust me it easier that way, because ala will focus on you alone and it will be easier to read the attack.
Also if you're able to soap opera-esque flinch it at least once every cycle (1 cycle is roughly 5 min) , the escaton judgement is survivable. If you can break the horn when it switch to dragon mode (which marks second half of every cycle), the next cycle won't be the opposing element.
Say for example you chose the death star quest (ala will start with ice active), 1st cycle you flinch, ala goes dragon, you break the horn once, goes nova, 2nd cycle begin with same element as 1st cycle (in this case ice).
Thus, if you want to use fire/ice weapon, you need to break the horn when ala goes dragon active or otherwise you'll be guaranteed dead on second cycle when it switches to opposing element.
Except if you can flinch it when it goes dragon which pretty hard to do using fire/ice.
The judgement is really no problem...i learned to play DB just 2h before now. After that, my first quest was Alatreon with DB. I reached the elemental DPS check in just 1 min. Its really not hard, i nearly killed him in my first try but i was stupid and used the rocksteady matle in the wrong moment. Well rip to me 😅🤷🏼♂️

Canta's Alatreon judgement is a cakewalk compared to the damage I've been blasted with during hunts with randoms in SOS lmao. The rate of my health decreasing rivals the speed of light. Think I'll try to solo him at this point.
After seeing you fight, I feel inspired to go another round =w=
So I want to really highlight why this is impressive. If you use an overlay mod, you can see that Alatreon has 55k health in solo. You have to do at least 1.3k damage to knock him over all the time, and the constant pressure was amazing. Congrats on soloing this creature. I'm still trying myself
