Dude, I didn't know about your channel, and I only have one thing to say about this: IT WAS AMAZING! You Sir rekindled my love for this game, it's time to jump back into it.
I actually did something similar, I had a week off of work in early 2020, and a friend and I literally went into Guiding Lands and set both our lands up from start to finish. Good times. Also explains our near 3k hours played. The rewards screen gets epic at 50, the hardest thing to do in all of this is stay alive. No carting seems like a "no brainer" kinda thing to say, but the reality of surviving all 100 hunts get harder the longer you stay in.
The longer I play and watch this game, the more I realize "Monster Hunter" does not mean you're a hunter who hunts monsters, but instead you are a monster who happened to also be a hunter
I just would like to say that this game and it's community are amazing. Back when I started, and mind you world was my first Monster Hunter game ever, I didn't know anything, I remember picking it up playing the tutorial, then going to hunt Jagras and struggling with the controls, stopping for some time until I went to the reddit page and ask a few tips, everyone was so kind and helpful.
I was honestly just going to skip to the end of this video, but the way you narrated it, using an interesting build and your humor made me watch it all!
As a brand new hunter (first game in the series and only 5 hours in the game) the Anjunath scares me. But I also haven't had to hunt one properly yet, I've only fought it while hunting for the Pukei pukei. And it went okay, Carried by the Guardian armour they gave at the start of the game, but I didn't die so that was a win.
Ngl, World was my first I really played. Have 4U but haven't really played it for real. But when I saw that Anjunath the first time, I'm like that too. I avoided it when I saw it until I had to face it for progression. It's a good feeling after my first W.
The Guardian Armour is so op. It completely removes the gameplay out of the entire base game. If some of you thought about using it, perhaps in the first 10 hunts to get the controls down, sure, but after that, if you wanna LEARN learn the game, don't use it. This goes for Defender weapons as well.
I have to admit, I was a little disappointed to see that the swapping weapons rule only really means you swapped between dualies and charge. It's still really impressive. You're likely one of the only people on the planet to see, "Your rewards box is full."
I only knew how to play two weapons at the time haha. My updated run switches weapons and builds every 10 hunts tho! New builds each time with a couple weapon duplicates. Pretty fun! ua-cam.com/video/4VLsUrqbFOA/v-deo.htmlsi=bV2k0Yi6zDdTb6X3
Awesome video, I really enjoyed your storytelling. Telling us about how you dislike rajang at the beginning did a great job of raising the tension for the eventual showdown with it towards the end! Great stuff.

when the monsters stopped spawning it was like they were afraid to even go to the guiding lands because the true apex predator was wreaking havoc lmaooo
This is kind of how I play the Guiding Lands. I will hunt monsters based on what I find randomly (or specifically, depending on what I'm looking for) and I will keep capturing/killing monsters until I faint once or have to get off. I'd end up going on super crazy and really fun streaks on completed builds and the reward screen is always the cherry on top. Love this game, still playing it even today.
This sounds like a very interesting challenge that'll guarantee a vast improvement in battle sense & combat prowess, might have to get back into it at some point so I could try one of these. This video deserves a like for rekindling my spark for Monster Hunter.
I'm very happy when I see a MHW video after so many years, as a veteran hunter it's very gratifying to see several other hunters enjoying and having fun with the game. I have a question for everyone who still plays MHW. Tell me what's your favorite weapon, fellow hunter?
@@GiddyFoxGaming Dual Blades are very good and even better in sieges to cut or break some parts of monsters... Switch Axe is an awesome weapon, but a little complicated for me, unfortunately.
@MadsonRuanSousa i tried great sword yesterday the dmg numbers are a big plus but idk if its for me. i might have to try it a bit more. Ive also been meaning to get into a ranged weapon lately (bow most likely) but I have really looked into the movesets yet
Early in the video, but here is the best advice for the grinding lands. If you dont like the monster there, just throw a ban ball at it. You can get them from the elder melder and only work in your own grinding lands, but they are a godsent. Also, one lvl in geologist will make you pick hp stuff twice. It is very useful if you wanna farm some stuff. Edit: finally through the video. And thats one hell of an ending. But how where you able to loot all the monsters? Cause the carving inventory has the same size as the inventoryfor potions and the like?
Each time you go into the tent to resupply it'll drop the carved/mined things into the box and empties itself. Worth doing if grinding out stuff on a normal expedition with Geologist and Botanist for supplies on a map, or going wild and just killing monsters non-stop with only going to the tent to restock on supplies.
I am surprised you didn’t leave the guiding lands open for other people to join in my opinion this game is at its best with other people and are you eventually doing fatalus
@@GiddyFoxGamingyes finally fatalus run and yes it is sick but playing but maybe do a run of 250 guilting lands monster one sitting with one other person since reaction in real time can be very fun to watch
@@GiddyFoxGamingalso have you ever thought of using other weapons I think you would have a lot of fun with sns since you love dual blades and charge blades seeing as sns is charge and dual blades combined
Nicely done ive never ever hunted 100 monsters in a single guiding lands before and ive been playing the game going on 5 years xD. Also did anyone tell you geologist let's u pick up the shiny drops from monsters twice at lv1 and gather more if u can get lv2 or 3 It really helps getting the monster materials or bones/ore. Part breaker also helps with monsters dropping more parts if u have geologist with it u can pick up those extra part drops even more!
It's a fun little challenge, give it a shot! I did know that, yep. I didn't want to spend the time collecting all the shiny drops for the 100 hunts on this on haha.
@@GiddyFoxGaming Quick question! How were you charging your Axe while using CS? I was noticing the Axe head spinning and the Axe icon appearing by the charged shield icon. Ive never seen that nor been able to replicate. Thanks!
Yeppers! Charge phials, go into SAED, but mid animation hit the slinger fire button (for me it's "c" on the keyboard) and you'll cancel the SAED and instead charge your axe
@@GiddyFoxGaming LETS GOOO! MASSIVE THANKS! I had no idea this was a thing. Recently got into playing and picked CS as the weapon to focus on. This will massively help. I super appreciate you taking the time to explain
Personally, I would've also used hbg and Switch Axe as well but that's bc I personally need more variety than just two weapons (at least @ the point in the vid I'm at, you've only used 2 weapons.) Playstyle differences tho, mushroommancer was actually kinda neat to see as i haven't seen that in a fat minute. Kinda like the wide range + speed eating + free meal support set is kinda uncommon. All in all I'm actually putting more time into World again, bc the game is just that good and hearing you be genuinely happy to just play the game is heartwarming. much love and +1 sub from me :)
Aye welcome to the fam! Mushroomancer is so good, I'm definitely gonna be using it for awhile haha. World is a great time, it's such a fantastic game. Plenty to do in the game before MH6!
Aye welcome to the fam! Mushroomancer is so good, I'm definitely gonna be using it for awhile haha. World is a great time, it's such a fantastic game. Plenty to do in the game before MH6!
@GiddyFoxGaming reminds me I technically need to get every weapon I use to have regen 2 haha. The slide attack for DB is so so much fun! Fave thing is running affinity sliding, power prolonger crit boost 3 wex3 and a few others. Still sad it doesn't get bonus from Airborne reeee LOL
Theres a nugget of an idea here for a true MH challenge run. Hunt in the guiding lands until your rewards box is full- BUT 1) You must level your guiding lands to the highest it can be within reason. It's technically possible to get all regions to 7, but you have to do 7143 hunts in the guiding lands to raise the max level cap to that point. Not impossible, but utterly unrealistic except for those with absolutely nothing else to do. The "default" cap at MR 100 is 26, which would be 4 regions at 4, and 2 at 5- or more commonly three at 7, one at 4, and 2 at 1. Raising the cap to 27 by doing 477 guiding hunts isn't super unreasonable, but it is time consuming and so could be reasonably skipped. 7/7/7/4/1/1 is ideal for maximizing tempered spawns. Player's pick for which regions. 2) You must change weapons after every hunt, and cannot use the same weapon again until all other weapons have been used successfully. This is a mastery challenge afterall! 3) You can only restock non-ammo items such as potions and drugs every 5 hunts; and since you can't ever go back to seliana you'll also need a pre-farmed stockpile of crafting materials or else some mushroomancer shenanigans and a dedicated eye for gathering points to avoid running out. Functionally, this means you get 1 Max potion and 4 mega potions per hunt- and 3 ancient potions per 5 hunts. If you use mushroomancer, you get an extra 2 max potions in the form of mandragoras each hunt (as well as whatever you can pick up off the map). 4) You may only eat once, before the mission. Better get that monster meat and cookin' spit for rations! 5) If a monster's tail is cuttable, and you are using a weapon capable of cutting tails (except for bowguns- due to ammo limitations making it difficult even for weak monsters), then you must cut the tail or the challenge is failed. 6) Lastly, when deciding what monster to hunt next you must always select the "hardest" tier of monster available. To be specific, this means Tempered > Regular- and amongst tempered monsters you go by their investigation threat level, which is easy enough to google on the fextralife wiki if you don't happen to know it by heart. You must hunt if monsters are available to hunt, though you may take time immediately after a hunt or a monster's zone change to scour the zone you're in for materials before moving on, and between hunts to stock on ammo for range weapons and change to your next weapon. There is no faint limit, but fainting reduces rewards and thus makes it so you have to hunt more monsters before your box fills up. The challenge is considered complete once you get the notification stating that your rewards box is full
If you liked this one, I gotta another that's just as awesome! It's was created to feel similar 💪

Sounds like a blast! I really enjoyed doing this challenge, I could see myself doing it again
You earned my sub with this, good going man.
Heyo thanks so much! And welcome to the Bazelgoon Squad!
This sounds like a very interesting challenge that'll guarantee a vast improvement in battle sense & combat prowess, might have to get back into it at some point so I could try one of these.
This video deserves a like for rekindling my spark for Monster Hunter.
Thanks! It's a super fun challenge, I had a great time with it haha
*comes back to Astera
"Where were you?"
"I don't know, I'm sooo on mushrooms right now"
🤣🤣 I brought back a bunch of food tho!
Oh god! 100 monsters. Now THAT is a hunt. :)🙂
Sure is! It was quite the expedition lol
I am sure it was tough but it was really an awesome hunt.🙂
@@DreadkingNergigante It was very worth it haha
I had a massive brain fart when I saw a red rathalos I was like " which variant is that I've never seen a red one before "
😂😂 been awhile since you've seen one, eh? 🤣
Good vid what console you play on
PC! :D What do you play on?
@@GiddyFoxGamingXbox sadly
100 hunts absolute mad man. awsome vid well done
Should I go for 200? 😂
I'm very happy when I see a MHW video after so many years, as a veteran hunter it's very gratifying to see several other hunters enjoying and having fun with the game.
I have a question for everyone who still plays MHW. Tell me what's your favorite weapon, fellow hunter?
It's such a gem, I love the game 😊
Favorite weapon so far is dual blades! But I'm looking forward to learning the Switch Axe
I main Hammer and casually play longsword and insect glaive (which i learned for fatalis cause hammer wasnt doing well for me)
@@_Richard1906_ Oh Another bonk buddy, hammer is my main weapon too bro, and in Fatalis I use GreatSword due to the greater range of this weapon.
Bro the turn war between black veil vall hassak and savage deviljho is crazy
It's so sick! I had never seen it before haha
Thanks for the tips!

"I love you dude" *Proceed to annihilate anjanath*
🤣🤣 classic lol
@@GiddyFoxGaming We are all doing the same!
100 monster in expedition????
Damn my highest hunt is 10-12 monsters in expedition, infact im already tired and back to village after mostly 4-5 hunt
Haha yep! It was quite the journey, but really fun. And the end screen was completely worth it 😄
You know it's gonna be a good video when john goodman is narrating it.
I am surprised you didn’t leave the guiding lands open for other people to join in my opinion this game is at its best with other people and are you eventually doing fatalus
I'll be doing that in the next run! :D And isn't it more epic that I solo hunted 100 monsters?
@@GiddyFoxGamingyes finally fatalus run and yes it is sick but playing but maybe do a run of 250 guilting lands monster one sitting with one other person since reaction in real time can be very fun to watch
@@GiddyFoxGamingalso have you ever thought of using other weapons I think you would have a lot of fun with sns since you love dual blades and charge blades seeing as sns is charge and dual blades combined
@@ziggyzaug Oh definitely. I'm doing 100 hours with each weapon and recording the progress :D
MHW should've continued.
I think it's gonna! MH6 could be the continuation!
Man you are so cool! Loved every second
No YOU'RE SO COOL!
Awesome bro!!! The laughs at the end got me 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣 Thanks friend!

Hey friend, so glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching!
Anytime! Savage Axe is amazing and its going to make some of your hunts even better :)
Personally, I would've also used hbg and Switch Axe as well but that's bc I personally need more variety than just two weapons (at least @ the point in the vid I'm at, you've only used 2 weapons.)
Playstyle differences tho, mushroommancer was actually kinda neat to see as i haven't seen that in a fat minute.

I love it, I use to run Affinity Sliding a bunch through the main story just so I could beyblade on monsters a bunch lol
LET 'ER RIP!
This sounds fun, I think i might do a run like this just hunting for a few hours in the grinding lands using a different weapon every 5 or so hunts
Do it! It's a blast! 💪
The shock on the people of asteras face when you come back after only 22 hours and killed the entire population of monsters
And yet they keep coming back! What's going on?! 🤣

Also, what was the metal song you used during the Rajang fight?

Right?!? It's insane lol
OMG YOUVE GROWN SO MUCH! I REMEMBER WHEN YOU HAD 800 SUBSCRIBERS
Welcome back 💪 I'm just getting started. 10k coming soon!
Theres a nugget of an idea here for a true MH challenge run. Hunt in the guiding lands until your rewards box is full- BUT
1) You must level your guiding lands to the highest it can be within reason.
This is quite the challenge!
this game makes my computer cry lmaoo, good stuff man .
