It's also convenient that the water doesn't evaporate when Fatalis burns the whole map. Also it looks like there's more water on the map as the fight goes on, or it must be my imagination.

Don’t feel bad buddy. It’s not like this guy woke up and killed fatty in 15 minutes. It probably took him like 10-20 tries to get a flawless run where all the stars aligned. So chill and enjoy the content :)

I think you're showing off, making sure we got to see all of the things you COULD craft if you WANTED to. I love it. I'm very pleased with the Alatreon and Fatalis fights. I'm not a master of the game, so both fights have proven challenging and have felt pretty dramatic/epic. I've successfully beaten Alatreon plenty of times now but I haven't bested Fatalis yet. I'm digging the fight though, forcing me to really be on my toes and do things I wasn't doing before (like utilizing the shortcut wheel) and it's making me rethink damage output.
I got my first kill earlier today took 3 days of little sleep and non stop time expires and faints but i did it Edit: im at 5 kills hammer is my main get constant head breaks(both) but dual blades is like 5-10 mins faster just got a sub 18 min run solo but only 1 head break
You can get the evil eye from the plunder blade. Tell your friends. Essentially you can get every material from him as long as you can break the wings (easy) and the head once (hard). Meaning you can get the armor and weapons from him without killing him.
Actually his strategy would be off with his palico present. Since fatalis only has canta as a target he always knows where the head will be and there will be less surprises. Also if your palico is on the other side of the area and it becomes the target 1: you'll now have tho chase after him and 2: it seems the a.i. is programmed to spam his various flame attacks when your far away , which can be deadly. I think I'll leave my palico and try this since I too main dual blades.
I really appreciate what they did with Fatalis. Before he is just a mindless just your average monster without regard to its lore. Now it is like the God of Hatred who is trying to kill an annoying cockroach. The way he digs his claws in the ground and forcefully breathes out fire trying to burn you to ashes reminds me when the time I finally caught a flying cockroach alive and burn it with my torch until it turned to something resembling a coal, overkill.
Before I forget during this fight, I've decided to put this song "MH4U Crimson Fatalis theme extended" when the fight starts, and then put the other song "Solaris Phase 2/Perfect Dark Gaia" when it enters a final form, within a final form, I'll go for high pitched music if it's head is still not broken at all, medium pitched if it's head is broken once, and a low pitched if it's head is broken twice, that's why.
That was pretty nice of Fatalis to spam charged fireballs and fire bites at the beginning. Is that a reliable AI manipulation thing or just luck that he kept doing the "hit my head" moves repeatedly?
It's fairly reliable if you stick right in front of its face when it's down on all fours. I also avoided enraging it instantly with the clutch claw exactly because its moveset on 4 legs has more openings when not enraged.

I don't have the kjarr dragon blades, would alatreon or fatalis blades be better in this case? (I've beated him a few times so I have his armor and weapons and am trying to cut down on time)
@@CantaPerMe Would you say the hitboxes are a bit unfair? Becase honestly, the main problem I have with the fight is his gigantic hitboxes, mainly on the fire attacks.
I'm a Dual blade main too and this was educational to me. He showed us how to break the head which is the last part I need more of. I'm totally gonna get those eyes now!

Probably not, this is a pretty tough fight and it would take me longer to learn with other weapons but I plan on trying Fatalis with other weapons during my livestreams

the OG proof of a hero sets the mood for this fight's conclusion, makes me feel like I have overcome all the trials of being a hunter.
Breaking Fatty's head is probably the most difficult task of this fight, so it's nice to see how you approach it.

Better than the old versions tho I'm still a bit hesitant about calling it a good fight because there are some issues with it but I like it overall.

The first part with the a- lister is solo only. If you can survive till the cut scene you'll be able to call for help.
