@@AdeptN7 Kraks are good, but you don't get the full use of your equipment recharge perk with them like you do a Melta Bomb. Also on lethal difficulty kraks won't put zoanthropes into execution stance anymore so melta bombs are a better option than ever. Personally I've always enjoyed massive boom boom so the choice was always clear

He didn't really trivialize it because he was low health or half health most of the run, but this game takes no skill so its not his fault, hes a great player but its a bad designed difficulty that lets you take damage even if you have skill at it, horrible difficulty, broken ranged enemies, he would be one hell of a dark souls player though, you know a game that takes actual skill and lets you showcase it with no hit runs because your skill matters in that game

Jump pack is still trash. The Hammer shouldn’t represent or define the class. Give the Bulwark a no shield, Hammer option build and they’ll do 10x better.
crazy how much work the armor on non lethal gunstrike perk does. compared to some other perks that u proc maybe twice per game or that barely have any impact...
I will note this is awesome, I played lethal solo and made it on Decapitation mainly because the ai stay close which gets rid of the aoe heal bs, and revives I got lucky found 2 Res relics. Love the new difficult
Hey I need you to know that they updated the Blood Angel Emblem so that you can customize the color of the blood drop and wings. That is why it does not show up correctly on your pauldron.
He got screwed there. He lost two armour segments and most of his health in the air but barely got any health back from jet pack ground and pound which deals a lot of damage when you hit as clear as he did. It would be end of the run for most people.
i didn't frame it, but i'm guessing at gamespeed that he got hit a frame or two after he landed that dmg. bang bang play, like they say in the nba well played that he had the rangewarr up against the wall and forced the parry to recover as he got shotgunned from 3 oclock or whatever but i think bots pick him up okay if he falls in that position and he clears the run fine, still

Finished my own run of Lethal with this class, really it can be challenging, taking some good pointers from your run mate, good work! (hoping to see both sniper and power sword bulwark if you manage to do them, good luck brother) edit: two questions: what was the process to pick that gun over the one that give you more ammo? and what's your opinion on the Aftershok improved perk?
Fantastic job, I soloed Decapitation on Bulwark but I think the Coherency system just doesn't make sense in this game. I love the challenge so much, everything else about this update is perfect for me except that. Hopefully they also give us something new to grind for.
Hello! I just want to say you post really amazing content and I’m excited to see more! One question about how you built your assault class, why did you not opt for the extra 100% damage on your ground pound? I personally use it because i feel I’m much more efficient at dealing with majoris enemies when i have that extra damage but i did find that i cannot consistently get my jump pack off of cooldown when slamming into a large group of enemies. Do you think having the extra radius helps to keep jumpack off of cooldown or is this only a change you made for lethal difficulty?\ Thanks again!
I use both, it really depends on how I'm feeling with the extra radius. CDR is better with 10% Damage increase but bombing Majoris snipers is far easier with the 100% damage increase since it puts them into execute pretty often.
I kinda felt the same, this guy is an amazing player but also density seems way lower than what I am seeing in my games. Where are the billion spore mines suddenly spawning on top of you while trying to fight 10 majoris at once and 3 extremis?
Sorry question, how do you set up perks and such to restore 3 blocks of armor for a gunstrike on the Hive Tyrant? I get the Armor Reinforcement perk allows restore armor from gunstrike, but does it give 3 blocks?
I wasn't counting the tries, but it took a few hours for sure. Lethal can have very little margin for error, especially if you get an amped devourer or rubric marine in your face.
@dankmotionsstudios5161 Tyranids have always been easier, minions die or are incapacitated with elite deaths, more melee than ranged enemies and the only shields to speak of are the alternating zoanthropes and the occasional crossed sword of the warriors which they have to stop doing to attack.. which you can just then parry. Might just be me, but yeah, they're way easier than chaos. Even if their minibosses are a little more annoying
I feel like you should give a casual matchmaking for a harder challenge. The assault on my team died 1st wave due to the nature of just flying away all the time lmao
Yeah you can't just fly in all the time with Assault, you need to be smart with your jetpack on Lethal. Save your ground pounds for big groups you know you'll get a bunch of kills for recharging and you'll most likely knock down some Warriors to execute. Assault is definitely the higher skill class when I'm Lethal, if you just rush in nonstop, you will die.
Funny thing is that it's actually easier play assault with bots in this new patch, cause they are always near you so you get the armor back and they do a lot tanking for you also.
Funny thing, that's not true at all. Even some of the worst players you'll ever encounter will do more than the all but MAYBE heavy bot but even then they also give you a team perk. If you don't believe me go do solo assault for 5 missions and compare it to solo randoms for 5 missions and see which one you die more in.
I have tested this and so far I do better with bots than team mates, but I'm not that good I'm able to solo lethal. Ruthless I have soloed. Then thing is that with randoms there is always that execution ninja to take out your executions and always some guy doing rambo stuff out of range to not geting armor back. For me atleast... Maybe skill issue I guess :)
I'm just looking at those ending stats...A human Assault did more RANGED damage than the AI Vanguard did TOTAL damage. Also, missing out on all the squad perks of teammates hurts a lot.
I see you're still using Fencing (edit: after the nerf in last patch)? I thought after the changes I'll be better off with Balance melee, but I'm still more consistent with Fencing as well. Fantastic gameplay BTW, I doubt I'll tap into lethal any time soon. So much focus required all the time, one slip up and you're gone.
Fencing gives way better, perfect perry windows, which allows for gun strikes. Thats 90% of my kills on enemies just because of how spongey their health pools are. The other stats barely matter
@@dankmotionsstudios5161 Not any more after the last patch, balance and fencing has the same perfect parry windows width now and that was the point of my comment. It's just located in different frames, with fencing you can click parry earlier. With balance, you can be a little bit late and you might get it. I noticed that if you memorized enemies attacks you probably still better off with fencing, but technically it's no longer "way better".
i like the idea but its badly implemented the distance and time windows are too tight to just be a reminder that the team excels complementing each other by standing fairly close and becomes a chore and a disadvantage
I beat decapitation in lethal not too long ago as assault and I found that the precision strike and knowledge of the enemy perks are amazing here. The amount of majoris and extremis enemies you fight on lethal is insane so that extra 15% melee damage against them comes in clutch! The radius reduction is also worth it for the 100% bonus damage on ground pound because you’ll be fighting so many concentrated clumps of major/extremis enemies that you don’t need the extra range. A very powerful rotation I found when facing a large and dense group of warriors was to open with a fully charged ground point immediately followed up by aftershock. The majoris you directly hit with the spin and first slam of aftershock will be instantly put into an executable state. Also sometimes its best to simply stop attacking and wait for enemies to attack you so that you can parry or perfect dodge. Also don’t be afraid to completely disengage from a fight. Many fights simply aren’t worth taking until you’ve separated the enemies a little bit. A final tip is that although the thunder hammer is my beloved, the chainsword is simply better against the hive tyrant. You can squeeze so many more melee attacks than you can with the hammer, making it so that you aren’t completely reliant on gunstrikes to deal damage. Good work man! Oh and your fashion is elite!
The thing which really angers me is that a perfect Assaultgameplay like this is still a permanent neardeathexpierence while other classes are restoring their health all day long
imo assault is fine. he is prolly better on this dif than any other ones due to enemy density. 1 armor per non lethal gunstrike and extra gunstrike damage are goated perks. And the 10% jump charge per kill is better than all the signatures combined.
When playing solo the bots don;t do or take damage in the same way if they were players. unless you are playing heavy, 1 human with 2 bots actually makes the game easier.
just vanguard and bulwark (which can restore everyone’s HP). assault isn’t weak. i’d put him up second only to sniper at this point. haven’t played since the update, but ruthless was a cakewalk for me as assault solo or not. routinely out-damaged the heavy plasma users with 25-30k+ melee damage
Something VERY funky is going on with this gameplay because there are multiple times when Warriors hit you but it doesnt register on your what should be a clean hit. Exmaples: 1:41 missed 2 parries as there is no effect for any of them from the whip warrior only got the 3rd, no hits registered for its hits 4:12 2 Warriors do a parry and dodge attack you parry the blue and are CLEAN hit by the red attack yet it just goes through and does nothing 6:09 You are in the middle of a swing and the Warrior again clean hits you and just goes through you, doesn't even damage armor 11:32 Berserked Warrior again just gets a clean hit on you and goes through doing nothing Not saying cheats, but there is definietly something funky going on, because these and a lot more are clean hits on your character that dont register.
#2 is a miss. dodge may or may not have been just late, but the attack was too far away to hit him either way. didn't connect literally all the others are just imperfect parries funky af crazy that you took all the time for this but not to actually look at the frames you can CLEAN ss multiple frames during 4:14 where the attack CLEAN misses, lol
i swear theres this weird window around when you parry or just after you just dont take damage but the enemy also just does not stagger, i believe this is what is happening at 1:41, 4:12, and 11:32 6:09 however i think the warrior just missed by a tiny amount slowing it down and looking im not sure if its an interaction with parrying and the thunder hammer or something but ive had it happen to myself sometimes in game, for reference is also play solo mostly(absolutely have not completed solo lethal anything tho) so maybe it has something to do with it? theres definitely some strange bugs in this game that i know of(idk if this is supposed to be bug or not) that i cant find anything about online hope this clears things up a bit, assuming i have any idea of what im talking about
@@wendigopsychosis3400 thats just a block. the enemies only stagger on perfect parries, all the instances above are just 'imperfect' parries, basically just imagine he was using a block weapon as he didn't land the PP timings
@@babelnaut I played enough of the game to know that, that on high difficulty would still frag you because you were doing a parry and when those 2 animations overlap, you will get got because on diff 4-5, the reduced dodge and parry windows are stupid tight. Not really crazy, just skimmed through the vid and these were so obvious it rattled me. And thats just the first third of the vid I watched. And even if dismissing #2, the rest are hits without any reaction from player and enemy, and it'd at least play a sound queue if you do a regular block/parry, it doesnt even do that.
@@wendigopsychosis3400There's parries and perfect parries. Normal parries don't stagger, but stop the damage and have a bigger window. They become extremely noticeable when you run tactical with the auspex on parry. Without that they're really easy to miss.
The perk that restores armor on non-finisher gun strikes restores 3 armor bars on Terminus enemy gun strikes specifically. This works for both Bulwark and Assault as they are the only two that have that perk in their kits.
Lethal is impossible now , at least for me im a heavy and i play with randoms , ruthless was ok this is too much , back to helldivers until next patch 😢 i know ppl will come and say get gud
@@TugaTripingtry ruthless first dude. If you struggle badly, just keep at it. You will lose now alot more. But if you hammer through. Give it a bash. It is a doable, but your margin for error is a lot less. Good luck man

See I thing it just counts on a teammate close so u can get armor and it’s really not that hard with any class if u support or do your role properly. Don’t get why so many people are hating when u don’t have to play it give the chads the helmets they deserve for the emperor
...but the destiny streamers all told me assault is bad and lethal is too hard. The light of the Traveler pales in comparison to the light of the Emperor.
I'm not updating this time before I read the patch notes just in case, I don't mind if they change the tether though because I'm not a huge fan of that mechanic.

That is probably because if you continually use them now you get majorly punished with the no s. Snipers interupt them now a LOT more. I have had to change my gameplay now to use it a hell of a lot less, which is annoying asy build is geared towards them.

I don’t have much complaints about the new patch except how the devs don’t listen to us. What’s so hard about making 40K Dynasty Warriors. The Space Marines are elephants constantly surrounded by many packs of foes, defeating one means another a few paces away. Instead Saber and Focus just wants to cripple the Marines more and make the enemies stronger. When their greatest strengths are their numbers. For a Tyranid infestation, there was very few.
I would say that's due to the new mechanic where you don't get armour back form counters if your not in close proximity to your team mates. So if a vanguard or assault fly forward alone death. Stupidest mechanic ever. It's probably easier for this guy to do it solo than in a group because of that.
@@DfectSpect You forget the Sniper and Heavy, two classes that are meant to be distant from the others due to their longer ranges. So 4 out of the 6 classes needs to break up their momentum just to be close to their allies so they can gain some armor. Why?!
All classes in game can dodge and gun strike. Put the Hammer on a Bulwark build with no shield and they’ll do 10x better than the Assault. Streamers pretending the Assault is okay with such a TRASH representation of the Jump Pack arent doing 40K fans or the game any favors. The laughable Jump height and Jump Distance restrictions are a joke. The insanely long cooldown on the jump pack are a joke. Go play the Assault on Space Marine 1, Exterminatus game mode, then come give a proper review.

Nowhere near as good as the hammer. I wasted my time getting all the upgrades for the power fist. Low crowd control. Low damage. Low tier weapon

Funny thing, that's not true at all. Even some of the worst players you'll ever encounter will do more than the all but MAYBE heavy bot but even then they also give you a team perk.
If you don't believe me go do solo assault for 5 missions and compare it to solo randoms for 5 missions and see which one you die more in.
I have tested this and so far I do better with bots than team mates, but I'm not that good I'm able to solo lethal. Ruthless I have soloed. Then thing is that with randoms there is always that execution ninja to take out your executions and always some guy doing rambo stuff out of range to not geting armor back. For me atleast...

I'm just looking at those ending stats...A human Assault did more RANGED damage than the AI Vanguard did TOTAL damage. Also, missing out on all the squad perks of teammates hurts a lot.

I see you're still using Fencing (edit: after the nerf in last patch)? I thought after the changes I'll be better off with Balance melee, but I'm still more consistent with Fencing as well. Fantastic gameplay BTW, I doubt I'll tap into lethal any time soon. So much focus required all the time, one slip up and you're gone.
I have noticed almost zero change with the fencing weapons tbh
Fencing gives way better, perfect perry windows, which allows for gun strikes. Thats 90% of my kills on enemies just because of how spongey their health pools are. The other stats barely matter
@@dankmotionsstudios5161 Not any more after the last patch, balance and fencing has the same perfect parry windows width now and that was the point of my comment. It's just located in different frames, with fencing you can click parry earlier. With balance, you can be a little bit late and you might get it. I noticed that if you memorized enemies attacks you probably still better off with fencing, but technically it's no longer "way better".
Its looks in solo, you dont have to be hugged up with everyone to get your armor back from gun strikes in lethal difficulty.
i like the idea but its badly implemented the distance and time windows are too tight to just be a reminder that the team excels complementing each other by standing fairly close and becomes a chore and a disadvantage
You do have to be near your team. The only positive is that they will teleport close to you if you go too far.
I think im going to start playing solo also, seems more fun and beter coordination
I beat decapitation in lethal not too long ago as assault and I found that the precision strike and knowledge of the enemy perks are amazing here.
The amount of majoris and extremis enemies you fight on lethal is insane so that extra 15% melee damage against them comes in clutch! The radius reduction is also worth it for the 100% bonus damage on ground pound because you’ll be fighting so many concentrated clumps of major/extremis enemies that you don’t need the extra range.
A very powerful rotation I found when facing a large and dense group of warriors was to open with a fully charged ground point immediately followed up by aftershock. The majoris you directly hit with the spin and first slam of aftershock will be instantly put into an executable state.
Also sometimes its best to simply stop attacking and wait for enemies to attack you so that you can parry or perfect dodge. Also don’t be afraid to completely disengage from a fight. Many fights simply aren’t worth taking until you’ve separated the enemies a little bit.
A final tip is that although the thunder hammer is my beloved, the chainsword is simply better against the hive tyrant. You can squeeze so many more melee attacks than you can with the hammer, making it so that you aren’t completely reliant on gunstrikes to deal damage.

I did a sniper solo and don’t have ways to self heal. It really is seat of your pants action.
imo assault is fine. he is prolly better on this dif than any other ones due to enemy density. 1 armor per non lethal gunstrike and extra gunstrike damage are goated perks. And the 10% jump charge per kill is better than all the signatures combined.
When playing solo the bots don;t do or take damage in the same way if they were players. unless you are playing heavy, 1 human with 2 bots actually makes the game easier.
just vanguard and bulwark (which can restore everyone’s HP). assault isn’t weak. i’d put him up second only to sniper at this point. haven’t played since the update, but ruthless was a cakewalk for me as assault solo or not. routinely out-damaged the heavy plasma users with 25-30k+ melee damage

Something VERY funky is going on with this gameplay because there are multiple times when Warriors hit you but it doesnt register on your what should be a clean hit. Exmaples:
1:41 missed 2 parries as there is no effect for any of them from the whip warrior only got the 3rd, no hits registered for its hits
4:12 2 Warriors do a parry and dodge attack you parry the blue and are CLEAN hit by the red attack yet it just goes through and does nothing
6:09 You are in the middle of a swing and the Warrior again clean hits you and just goes through you, doesn't even damage armor
11:32 Berserked Warrior again just gets a clean hit on you and goes through doing nothing
Not saying cheats, but there is definietly something funky going on, because these and a lot more are clean hits on your character that dont register.
#2 is a miss. dodge may or may not have been just late, but the attack was too far away to hit him either way. didn't connect

i swear theres this weird window around when you parry or just after you just dont take damage but the enemy also just does not stagger, i believe this is what is happening at 1:41, 4:12, and 11:32

im not sure if its an interaction with parrying and the thunder hammer or something but ive had it happen to myself sometimes in game, for reference is also play solo mostly(absolutely have not completed solo lethal anything tho) so maybe it has something to do with it?
theres definitely some strange bugs in this game that i know of(idk if this is supposed to be bug or not) that i cant find anything about online

@@wendigopsychosis3400 thats just a block. the enemies only stagger on perfect parries, all the instances above are just 'imperfect' parries, basically just imagine he was using a block weapon as he didn't land the PP timings
@@babelnaut I played enough of the game to know that, that on high difficulty would still frag you because you were doing a parry and when those 2 animations overlap, you will get got because on diff 4-5, the reduced dodge and parry windows are stupid tight. Not really crazy, just skimmed through the vid and these were so obvious it rattled me. And thats just the first third of the vid I watched. And even if dismissing #2, the rest are hits without any reaction from player and enemy, and it'd at least play a sound queue if you do a regular block/parry, it doesnt even do that.
@@wendigopsychosis3400There's parries and perfect parries. Normal parries don't stagger, but stop the damage and have a bigger window. They become extremely noticeable when you run tactical with the auspex on parry. Without that they're really easy to miss.
Why do you get 3 armor from one gunstrike at 35:40 ?
The perk that restores armor on non-finisher gun strikes restores 3 armor bars on Terminus enemy gun strikes specifically. This works for both Bulwark and Assault as they are the only two that have that perk in their kits.

It’s kind of random. You can replay a mission and get different classes.
Lethal is impossible now , at least for me im a heavy and i play with randoms , ruthless was ok this is too much , back to helldivers until next patch 😢 i know ppl will come and say get gud
Try playing solo. You might have better outcomes.

See I thing it just counts on a teammate close so u can get armor and it’s really not that hard with any class if u support or do your role properly. Don’t get why so many people are hating when u don’t have to play it give the chads the helmets they deserve for the emperor

I'm not updating this time before I read the patch notes just in case, I don't mind if they change the tether though because I'm not a huge fan of that mechanic.

That is probably because if you continually use them now you get majorly punished with the no s. Snipers interupt them now a LOT more.
I have had to change my gameplay now to use it a hell of a lot less, which is annoying asy build is geared towards them.

Bro I just spent the last 30 minutes reading Reddit posts about how ridiculous Lethal is and how bad assault is now, then I watch you play like this. Ya there’s levels to this shit. GG brother. That being said, I haven’t played after the update yet but tethering for armor regen still sounds stupid.
I don’t have much complaints about the new patch except how the devs don’t listen to us. What’s so hard about making 40K Dynasty Warriors. The Space Marines are elephants constantly surrounded by many packs of foes, defeating one means another a few paces away.
Instead Saber and Focus just wants to cripple the Marines more and make the enemies stronger. When their greatest strengths are their numbers. For a Tyranid infestation, there was very few.
I would say that's due to the new mechanic where you don't get armour back form counters if your not in close proximity to your team mates. So if a vanguard or assault fly forward alone death. Stupidest mechanic ever. It's probably easier for this guy to do it solo than in a group because of that.
Its certainly easier than playing with randoms + no lag
@@DfectSpect You forget the Sniper and Heavy, two classes that are meant to be distant from the others due to their longer ranges. So 4 out of the 6 classes needs to break up their momentum just to be close to their allies so they can gain some armor.

All classes in game can dodge and gun strike. Put the Hammer on a Bulwark build with no shield and they’ll do 10x better than the Assault. Streamers pretending the Assault is okay with such a TRASH representation of the Jump Pack arent doing 40K fans or the game any favors. The laughable Jump height and Jump Distance restrictions are a joke. The insanely long cooldown on the jump pack are a joke. Go play the Assault on Space Marine 1, Exterminatus game mode, then come give a proper review.
70% of map fighting exlusively melee warriors with devourers spawning only at the very end, either you are luckiest person on Earth or idk. Buy lottery ticket and find out?
