Buy yourself a cheap ultrasonic cleaner, add a few drops of dish soap to hot water and run your rba through it a few times it should take away the machine oil taste. It is how I clean all my vape gear including coils after I have made them. Hope it helps. Nice job on your review.

Can’t recommend it enough 👏🏻 The wicking is phenomenal…I use a 3mm id coil just to get enough cotton in it 😂 For fruit or tobacco juices there’s nothing better, and it’s not too bad with custards 👍🏻 All my other rbas are jealous and sulking on the shelf 😂😂😂

I got a tobeco Kayfun clone from a guy on ecf, a bunch of people raving about how great they were. It tastes like putting a spoon on your tongue. Don't know how others don't get the same taste.

I've had dozens without any issue with taste.. but now, as of the last year or two.. its like a 50/50 chance whether I'm even going to be able to use the damn thing or not.. I just got a few other in recently too and just by smell alone (after cleaning attempts) i can tell they're going to be problematic.. i might have to try n bring this to 3fvape and SXKs attention cause i can't throw the money away anymore
that machine oil taste has been an issue since day 1 of vaping not just with clones I've had authentics with it too. It's nasty trouble is once you've tasted it on a product you can't untaste it

I've always wondered if they individually serialized them.. fun story.., one day, I was watching a Jai Haze live and he said, 'I find out who sent the 502 to China by checking the serial number on a clone cause I know who got what # .., so it made me wonder if China really would keep the same number on it.. guess not! I'm surprised they take the time to change the numbers on them though.. more attention to detail than I'd expect
A clone mod? Which one..,? You can get great deals on authentic used boro mods these days through Facebook for about the same price you would pay for a new clone mod..

Mine broke a while back., but idk I don't think I can get this taste out regardless.. I'm real sensitive to that kind of thing and I tried alot to fix it on this but no luck.. usually one of those things work.. but not this time,, every so often I get a taste that really lingers
@@toneohm I get what you’re saying. A while back I bought an Aspire Zero G and the RBA Deck had that WD40 taste and I could never get that out. Any other atty’s I get I automatically clean them and thankfully I haven’t run into this problem again, so far anyway
I got my sxk skynet clone the other day. It is now shelved. My top cap is so tight it’s stupid and I’m not getting no flavour. I have an authentic wick’d remix’d using the same coil cotton and juice and the flavour I get from that is a damn good vape. The only clone I have that is worth it is the vwm dope I get a really good vape from that mtl and I dare say it’s better than my authentic svoe mesto kayfun bb rba. With the money I’ve spent on clones I’m now stopping and just going to get authentic if I can. I am currently waiting for the next drop for the monarchy scepter which is meant to be amazing. I have a 5avape clone of the mobb v and get nothing from that either which is why I’m going authentic and if I don’t like I can get my money back selling it on
i mean,, the designs are identical.. if it has good flavor.., it should be the same.. clone or not.. UNLESS.., it was done in a sloppy way and has a machine oil taste tainting it.. but a properly done authentic or clone should yield the same results flavor wise.. as for fitment tolerances.. some authentics are done worse than the clones.. but yea, atleast authentics never have that oil taste... (happened to me one time.. with the Pioneer Insider by BP.. but I got a replacement and it was fine)

The machining and design has to be on point I would say otherwise you get silly whistling through airflow holes or air breaches in certain parts. The bridges are small enough as it is I’d imagine any small thing out of place or wrong would contribute more to how it vapes. I’m no machinist tho so I cannot clarify. I’m just speaking from my experience with clones. I’ve not yet got an authentic mobb or skynet to compare the differences I feel. The only thing I have is to compare is the wick’d remix’d and the authentic is by far the better vape than the clone. I can’t see any differences when looking at it though so it baffles my mind. I just put it down to machining I just have to in my mind. Unless it’s a pure copy from a 3d file from the authentic company using the same machine and materials then it d imagine there is always that chance it won’t vape the same. As for the skynet the original is done on a certain machine so I’ve read. And it takes ages I don’t think a Chinese company is going to use a 5 axis machine for airflow pins and the bridge itself they will do them on a machine as quick as possible for potential earnings. Vassily takes his time they are all hand polished. Cleaned certain materials used etc etc. it just has to be that

China is way more capable.. unfortunately, they basically lead the world now with tech and manufacturing.. they definitely have the best tools at their disposal.. and if you watch my live videos, I talk about how the high end companies literally sell their CAD files to China.. so these days.. they often are 1:1 the only difference, is materials.. China uses cheaper grades of metals and plastics.. they can machine really well.. but the quality of metal will not be the same.. and they're not gonna be hand polishing them like a high end modder.. that's really what your paying for.. homage to the designer and a better metal standard.. years ago, some clones were pretty different. Especially rtas.. but these days not so much.. especially with rbas.. too straightforward.. (btw... I never had an rba whistle lol) maybe you mean with an old rda or something.. I get it though.. I'll feel like my authentics of the same atty vape better but honestly, how much of it could be placebo... try em blindfolded and then get back to me ..hah, 3 card monty/atty.. bc the design is the design, is the design.. I mean, it's math.. it's all done precisely with computers n shyt.. it's not like they're hand made with a large degree of variance
Yeah recently I'm noticing this oil taste on damn near every clone I come across.. it's pretty discouraging at this point.. I have an SXK Maven as of the last few months and I was able to get rid of it on that.., these other recent clones.. not so much

Did you try 99% iso alcohol? I usually soak it in hot water with dawn soap, rinse then sit in the 99% iso overnight and that usually does the trick.

A good ultrasonic cleaner will usually get the oil or old juice taste out of atty's.
Mine broke a while back., but idk I don't think I can get this taste out regardless..
