Hi, quick correction. On the BMW E90 320si the four cilinder engine is devided into bank 1 and bank 2. In this case but correct me if i'm wrong, cilinder 1 & 4 is bank 1 and cilinder 2 & 3 is bank 2.
Can confirm. Cylinder 1 & 4 are connected into one bank, cylinder 2 & 3 are connected into one bank aswell. I assume, that bank 1 is where cylinder 1 is. Will find out after i change the pre-cat O2.
@ Auto Repair Guys You always have so wonderful and informative information and you explain it so it is very easy, I watch one of your videos almost 1 year ago and from that I always look out for your videos.
Hi I have a 2007 X3 and I don't have a card to show me what fuses are which one's my car started yesterday morning fine by that afternoon it wouldn't start I watched your video on changing the starter relay switch but I can't find it can you please help me find it
@@der_schwahn i had this 3 weeks ago and it only said on bank 2 and that bank 2 is running too lean. i cleared the code and now its back with both banks low catalytic converter effiency. it only has 25k miles 😭
Too lean: you've got s vaccum leak OR you have Problems With your injectors. What does your car Do in the morning? Do It takes longer than usual to start? ( slightly longer crank time, car runs rough, smells Like petrol)
Yes. Not that easy with 4cyl. Expl the N45 engine cyl 1 & 4 is bank1 with one cat. And cyl 2 &3 is bank2 with the other cat. To top it BMW diagnose program INPA only describe v.kat bank1 & h.kat bank1 that mean v=vordersite=forward and h=hinten=rear and int bank1 & int bank2 as the O2 sensors downstream when looking inside the program doing live diagnostics. BUT when you get the error codes out they call it bank1 & bank2 again. Confusing...
So I get camshaft position sensor "A" circuit range/performance( Bank 1 or single sensor) this is the error read on my diagnostic tool. P0341. Please help @AutoRepairGuys

Great vid
Thank you.
How about the M3 v8?
What if it's a 4 Cylinder engine
at 2:46 what bank is on the right of cylinder 6? i can't find information on it. lol
Yeah... But 4 cylinder bmw have two banks!
Not all, But for example the N43 got 2 Banks ( 2 x o2 sensor Before converter!) so this Video is wrong lol
yeag, my n43 320i shows catalytic converter effciency below treshhold on bank 1 and 2 :(
@@fionn1206 try to delte the error Code and look for Cracks, both sides effciency top low?
It can Happen, but both sides simultanious is rare

@@der_schwahn it starts instantly and hikds abt 30 sec at 1000rpm and then drops to 650rpm. its not rough or anything. i hope its just a faulty sensor
i have 4 cylinder 320i and i got bank 1 sensor error so not true
It's not true on 4cy, also have 2 banks with 2 cat convertor...
