@@DJKinney I hate to break it to you, man, but if you took the trouble to read Rich's show more section you would see everything about this video explained. This is a re-creation of how the song came to be recorded, done for a later documentary on The Seekers. No actual footage of the original recording exists.

Today is my husband's birthday. He has Alzheimer's and is now in a nursing home. I played him this song and it brought a rare smile to his voice. For a few minutes his eyes lost that vacant look and he gripped my hand and seemed to see me for the first time in years. I know I'll never find another Him.

Judith had an over-reaching voice. Strong as a man's but pitched as a woman's. It would never get lost among the strings and other voices in the band. This successful formula was repeated years later in the famous girl-bands of the late 70's - 80's.
Sheena Easton, Pat Benatar, Ann Wilson and even Olivia had *_nothing_* on Judith.

My Grandpa's funeral was yesterday, he was survived by my Grandma. This song was played at their wedding 55 years ago and it was played at my Grandpa's funeral as his last request. My grandma at the funeral talked (through tears) about how the song speaks of a "promised land" but as the song goes on to say it is a "long, long journey" and that the marriage was difficult, even turning into a "nightmare" at times, but with God's grace it was worth it, every minute of 55 years, it was worth it up until "death do us part".

I joined the military in early 65 , the night before I left home my mother played this song. I get a tear every time I hear it.
    My mother passed in 1966.
I wasn't there when she died.

Judith remains sedately within the group's disciplined harmony, and then on precisely the right note ("YOUR love dear") shoots way up (to the octave 6th) to give excitement and emotion to the finish. Listening to this song, I always wait for that one brief high. Sorry if I get the theory wrong, but you all know that note.

During my apprenticeship, to the Mid Sussex Water Company (1963 - 1968) my boss, who shall remain nameless, was definitely in love with Judith Durham. Never realised the depth of his feelings towards this lady. At my advanced age!, and watching these videos, I now understand his infatuation. She is/was one of the very best singers from my era. RIP Judith Durham. Many thanks to You Tube for these beautiful opportunities to reminisce. You have a lot to answer for!!!!

This artistry ages like good wine. Didn't go anywhere. Its part of us. With extreme respect for my girl Swiftie, this isn't about boy/girl conflict, but rather the forever synergy between the two.

This will probably get lost in the comments but my Nan adored the seekers back in the 60s. This June marked 7 years since she passed. Music is such a special thing. It takes you back and it brings back the great memories. This does the latter for me. I love you so much Nan and I’ll see you again ♥️
