I heard on CBC today that Christine MCVie died at age 79. This is heartbreaking news. She was, and ever shall be, a magnificent songwriter, singer and performer. What a blessing for all of us that she graced us with her talent. Rest In peace, beautiful Christine.

This was my brother’s song. He died in a motorcycle accident in ‘78 at he age of 21. I still miss him, but when Lindsey starts to sing he brings back my brother for just a short while….
I saw them in concert about 15yrs ago & they "Rocked" Really good live show. It wouldn't be the same without Christine. Such a talented women. RIP Christine..🌷💐

They were all on their A+ game that night. Words cannot describe this. You believe every word of what Lindsey is singing and it seems here that Stevie is in awe of Lindsey. I know what you mean about the neighbors listening too. I have fond memories of being in college when this song was out. Everyone on the campus of Central Washington University would be playing this song, along with every other one on this album at full blast. . . . all day, every day. It was the best of times.

Despite the decades of interpersonal drama they had, when the five of them are playing live you can just feel how music is just absolutely their first love. Mick Fleetwood always looks like an ecstatic puppy. Their joy is so contagious. Their live performances never fail to bring me to tears.

I could watch Mick Fleetwood beating the drums all day. The energy, pain, intense look and excitement on his face as he strikes every beat of the drums. He really gets into the music.

Yes Lindsey is a great guitarist. Not taking anything away from the others that have played with them in his stead but it just seems that it always takes 2 guitarists to take his place when he's not with them.

For electronic music nowadays you need to be half engineer nowadays (knowing the softwares inside and out. Also mixing and mastering). I'd say it is as hard as learning an instrument. Lindsey wrote this song and Stevie said in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine "I very much resented him telling the world that 'packing up, shacking up' with different men was all I wanted to do," she told Rolling Stone. "He knew it wasn't true. It was just an angry thing that he said.

Yes, it's a real life soap opera. I remember seeing them play in London at the Rainbow just after Rumours was released and they were already in turmoil then. We juvenilely joked that Christine wasn't so perfect... The looks they were giving each other really added to the power of their performance. maybe that was their way of just getting through it all. Memorable, nearly half a century ago.
I'm 73 now and I can still remember how in the mid 70' when this album helped me get through one of the most intense emotional crises I've ever been through. Thank you.

You should have heard them back in their early days when Peter Green was the guitar player. They were much more of a blues band then; Green was an incredible blues guitarist. Look him up online if you're into great guitar playing.
The incredible thing about Lindsay Buckingham's style is the way that he doesn't just play the guitar, he becomes part of the guitar and he extracts sounds that are otherwise impossible.
I remember EXACTLY where I was and EXACTLY what I was doing when this album came out. I was 15, meeting "new" relatives in another province....If you REALLY look hard at the band, their eyes, their faces, the only one that appears to be having a "good time/grooving" is the drummer, the others are looking like it's a chore to be there. Do you think maybe the audience at the time picked up on this? I did, right off the bat. Stilll lovin their music, but this performance feels strained.

Fleetwood Mac along with other super-groups like The Eagles, Journey, Styx, and Van Halen shaped the music of the 80s and the genre that is Rock Music. There is nothing like them today and will probably never will be again.

Saw them in Columbia, S.C. not long after (I was 19,stationed at Ft. Jackson) Saw them again at the Cottonbowl in Dallas,might've been '79.

Amazing performance here. Lindsey Buckingham just killed the guitar solo and his vocals here were never better at any point in his career. And damn, you could tell Mick Fleetwood was really enjoying the drums on this night. Just outstanding!

I couldn't agree more. I saw them a few years earlier than '82...phenomenal. I've always thought Mick hasn't been fully honored for his talent. Amazing drummer.
As a sound-guy I noticed the bass from the off, and thought they should have noticed that and cut the very low end a bit, it's too muddy with the kick and the ambience. :)
I don't think in the history of music there has ever been a band with so many personal issues going on between band members AT THE SAME TIME. And fortunately for us, they turn that turmoil into some REALLY GREAT MUSIC.

I never paid them much attention,knew some hits.this is seriously the first time I truly can see they were a stacked group of musicians,this is even later in the late 90's.aftet their initial glow has expired.but to see the faces behind their names working together as a group is a joy to watch.
I have never seen lead and bass guitar create such phenomenal harmony. The drums are just another realm and they join together to create a brilliant thumping song.

I was 15, meeting "new" relatives in another province....If you REALLY look hard at the band, their eyes, their faces, the only one that appears to be having a "good time/grooving" is the drummer, the others are looking like it's a chore to be there. Do you think maybe the audience at the time picked up on this? I did, right off the bat. Stilll lovin their music, but this performance feels strained.

As a sound-guy I noticed the bass from the off, and thought they should have noticed that and cut the very low end a bit, it's too muddy with the kick and the ambience. :)

I don't think in the history of music there has ever been a band with so many personal issues going on between band members AT THE SAME TIME. And fortunately for us, they turn that turmoil into some REALLY GREAT MUSIC.

I never paid them much attention,knew some hits.this is seriously the first time I truly can see they were a stacked group of musicians,this is even later in the late 90's.aftet their initial glow has expired.but to see the faces behind their names working together as a group is a joy to watch.
