One of the most beautiful songs ever written. I couldn’t imagine it performed by any other band. It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve listened to it, it always moves me emotionally.
I can feel her energy, her spirit, the other band members blended in perfect with her beautiful voice. I can listen to their music over and over and over again!!
Time has past and so has she. This saying is especially true now. I listened to her growing up, so I may be hearing her again very soon. I find it odd that I don't feel as sorry for my hardships as I do for those that I well remember. Maybe because it is my loss. When I pass it will be someone else's loss. I try to live my life so that someone will have a fond memory of me.
Judith is in a league of her own. Her voice is as strong as ever, and she hits the notes like she did when she was young. The boys are still charming, and they play the instruments and provide backup vocals to judith like it was in the 60s. Pure talent.
I'm 74 and a being of student-run college radio in the US midwest in the late 1960s. I've heard it all when it comes to the '60's music. The Seekers weren't especially on my radar other than "Georgie Girl". However, as a retiree replaying music, I fell in love with a lot of their music, including "Another You". Early in Summer 2022 I scoured UA-cam for everything I could find on them, especially Judith Durham. There was something truly magical about her voice and smile. The news of August was personally truly devastating to me. And then her death was dramatically overshadowed by the loss of Olivia Newton-John a mere 3 or 4 days later. Judith Durham and her beautiful voice and talent were truly a gift to mankind. The beauty of her voice and music live on in accompaniment with the 3 gentlemen as she rests in peace. May her memory be for a blessing.
Tell me a group in the history of the world that sounds better 50 years after their first #1, than they did back then. Only one group, ever. The Seekers. Incredible.
I wept when I found out that Judith had passed...Truly the voice of an angel. I sing this song to my husband frequently, and can never get through it without tearing up. Those emotions will only be stronger now. 💔
This song is one of those that gives me goosebumps and a tear in my eye. Now that Judith has gone to sing lead with a choir of angels there are more tears for i know there will never be another Judith. Her voice was just wonderful and what a beautiful person she was too. How lucky we are to still be able to listen to her voice. RIP Judith. x
Judith's voice will live on. The Seekers sang in the range of their own voices. What a combination, and a joy to hear. I was bursting with joy to hear this song.
There will never be another group like the Seekers. Never. More than 50 years and am still searching for a group that can bring you as much joy as listening to the Seekers does. I first heard them when I was in school around 1967/68 and even today I can’t help but bow to them for the joy and happiness they have brought me

I am in my 60s and I just discovered this angelic voice.not too long ago. Memories of a trip I made long ago to land down under . Reminders of my late mom. How many times I played and replayed this song. What an uplift during the Covid era. And the news of her passage. Such a late discovery on my part and such a rapid departure. RIP as you gave meaning to this song to me, my late mom, a sweet heart long since moving on with her life but present in my heart. There will certainly never be another you.
Ok, I'm weeping. Judith Durham has one of the great voices of all time and her bandmates are amazing. Best "geezer" act I ever heard. Oh, and I NEVER knew it was recorded at Abbey Road. Great factoid!
Just hearing her voice in full song continues to make my tears run - after 57 years. I suppose it’s utter bliss. I feel so lucky to have experienced it - in a life full of predominantly magnificent classical music, too!

I love this song. My wife and I have been together 22 years today, June 18th, 2024. Every year for the past few years, I have dedicated the Abby Road studio version to her on Facebook on our anniversary. FWIW, we are both retired and I will soon be 79. This song is our song. @@pattistilwell7424I can’t listen to Judith without crying. Her voice pierces my heart every time I hear her from the first time I heard her to now. No other singer touches me so deeply and profoundly.
I loved the Seekers, especially the 12-string guitar which I've always found uniquely uplifting. I can never view this clip in the Apple studios enough. I love the way Judith stands there with her hands on her hips and belts out a flawless vocal. I can't explain it, really, but she always somehow looks defiant to me. Great instrumentals + great vocals = sheer brilliance. Forever in my memories!
Yeah, yeah... hands on her hips. She gets me everytime I see that. As iconic as Elvis shaking his, Chubby twisting his, and Michael gyrating on a moonwalk. All different stances, different statements, but oh, so equally powerful and uniquely their trademark and gift to the world of song and dance!

My favourite band. I’m only 37 but loved them from childhood as mum was a fan. I saw every concert from 1993 to 2013 except one tour they did In about 2001 I think it was. I cried for 3 days when Judith passed recently, to me it was the equivalent of people losing Elvis or John Lennon. She has an absolutely beautiful voice!

Dusty Springfield was a truly great singer, so was Linda Rondstat, but Judith Durham's unique style, somewhere between folk and opera, does it for me. Tears me up like no one else.
As practically a child, Judith's voice was perfection in 1968. 25 years in 1993 it was even BETTER. How does one improve on perfection? Fast forward 21 years and still perfect in 2014 after a major stroke. Simply amazing. The harmony of that quartet is simply amazing.
I've been listening to this song for 50+ years. Their sound is so special, so unique and so lovely. It actually makes my eyes water that this song is so amazing that, after all these years, it can still move me, emotionally, as much as it does. I don't just hear with with my brain. I hear it with my soul. Thank you, Seekers.
It is a song about that one person we all long to spend the rest of our lives with. If it does not move you every time, it is because you have a callous heart. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard comments almost identical to yours. We are all lucky to have been here to experience the Seekers.
I was married in 1978 to my dear wife, Patti. Pleased to say this was one of two songs I chose to have played live at our wedding. Have always cherished the true meaning of the lyrics. Have loved the Seekers all these years and very saddened to learn of the passing of Judith Durham, RIP Judith, you have spread so much love across the Earth. God Bless you!
This song is pure magic. And to see this group sing it the same way, in the same key, same tempo, and with the same instrumentation throughout the decades as they age, is incredibly beautiful! Times change, things change, the recording and video equipment evolve, people age, and yet through it all the music rings true. The music that binds them together!
Judith's voice is a gift from God's own hands. These four people are truely what muscianss are all about. They are well polished and after all this time still sound crisp and fresh and youthful no sign of age or even hardships and we know Judith has had a few terrible bouts with life. Her inner strength has always brought her right back to shine like a bright star.
I always thought it quite sad that Judith took "critics" opinions to heart about her appearance. She was a lovely, extremely talented soul inside and out. One of my favorite groups ❤️ Harmony.
I have to agree, she's beautiful and sings like an angel, what's to criticise, these guy's are great, I was born in 1966 and remember hearing their music and songs around our house, God bless my Mum.......thanks xx.
I'm 81, an old geezer. But this song still grabs me, shakes me around, and let's me down gently. As it did many years ago. I'm happily married to the most wonderful woman in the world. I don't deserve her. This song tells her in a way I can never do.
When I was was in London 2008 first time in my life. I searched everywhere to buy Tom Springfield's songs Book. Unfortunately I didn't find. But for sure I have three of four seekers singles on 45t records. And there greatest songs on a original CD. Thank you Rich963.
If I could sing, I would sing that song to The Seekers, because there'll never be another group like them: the best group of all time - then, now, and forever.
There is a very special place in heaven for Judith and the boys. Everytime I hear their songs, for some reason they go straight to my soul! The only other performer to do this is Doris Day. Simply amazing. Thank the lord for Dusty Springfield and her brother Tom. The O'Brian kids actually. So talented! They knew talent when they heard it and Tom writing incredible songs for The Seekers, nudged on originally by Dusty, as well as Dusty, were projects made in heaven. What joy!
My mother passed in 1968... a couple of years ago, we converted some old reel to reel tapes of her voice to cd... one of her comments in early ‘65 while my dad was radio surfing, was for my dad to find that new song by the ‘Seekers’... she knew all the words just by the radio....see ya soon mom.
I was a child in my Caribbean island hearing that song. It has stayed with me forever, although at that time I did not know the name of the band. Judith Durham's voice is angelic
My goodness , talk about being emotionally invested in a song....I still "well up" when i hear this 50 some years later! Please Lord when my days are over, let me come back to a world that had this kind of talent and music!
The New Kingdom will have that kind of world; beautiful serene music and a world that will be worth waiting for. God will see to it that His children will have peace and happiness.
I was a student disc jockey on WLHA, University of Wisconsin when this first came out. Played it almost once an hour. What a great song, melody, and Judith's voice so clear. I knew it was headed to #1 at the time. I also knew I wanted to feel this way when I met my (future) wife, whenever that would be. Life worked out exactly that way for us. 60 years later we are still together, very healthy, very happy and still very much in love. Thank you Seekers for messaging me early in life. RIP Judith ... :)
It's rare a singer sounds just as good 50 years after the first time they perform a song and Judith does it every time. She sounded just as good here as she did the first time she sang this song. Outstaning! Her voice is a true rarity! Absolutely legendary! RIP Judith!
This song has a special meaning for me because back in 1964 I met my wife in London and we've been happily married ever since. We have travelled 4 Continents of the world and she is Truly the only one for me in the whole world. Thanks for post.
A timeless classic, as fresh today as when it was first recorded in the 60s. Great backing vocals from the boys and Judith’s exquisite voice soaring over them like a bird in flight. Just wonderful.
As a cynical engineer, tears don't come to me that easily, but this is the one song that does it every time. My dad died in late '64, and this was a hit a couple of months later; my mom couldn't bear to hear it because she knew she "would never find another you". She never did. And even apart from that association in my mind, this is a great song brilliantly performed. There are very few cover versions because nobody else could touch it; they certainly couldn't make it better than what came out of Abbey Road 56 years ago.
I absolutely agree! Exactly understand the sentiment. Times were different in those years, and we had war and troubles to be sure, but not to the degree of these days, IMHO. However, we did have the best cars and music, didn't we?! Take care and God Bless! Be safe!
I am exactly the same. Every time I well up. Saw them perform it at the Royal Albert Hall in 1993 and I just stood there in floods of tears. And good that there are very few cover versions - you can't cover this incredible song.
I have loved this amazing song from the first day I heard it as a teenager. The music, voices and tune are so beautiful and unique. Such fun to see them singing and playing through the years. Judith’s voice is heavenly. The Seekers are such a great group.
It was and still is one of the most beautiful song ever written, performed, recorded and popularised in the 20th Century. Simply put , it touches your heart like a giant steam roller. Ricky Fung from Hong Kong
Listening to the Seekers takes me back to my childhood, I was born in 65, every Sunday whilst my mum cooked the Sunday lunch the radio would be on, and of course in the late 60's the seekers would be played a lot, my family including my little brother are all gone now, but every time I hear the Seekers it reminds me of those times we were all together.
I was born 1967.I had this song at my wedding 1991. Recently on May 26th 2021 the song just popped into my memory .I sang it for the whole day and that night I lost one of my best friends to Covid. This song epitomizes what she was to everyone. We will never find another Simone
What more is there? Perfect, solid, masterful backup instrumental with golden musicianship that never overwhelms the vocals, a sweet and positive set of lyrics, and the vocals -- fully skilled and full, with harmonies that fly and ring and cross and rise into a level of pure mastery. That's it, I can't think of better.
Saw the seekers in Glasgow in the sixties with my girlfriend, now my wife of 53 years. Their music still brings back the magic of that era. How wonderful they are all still around.
Everyone who has heard this song in the sixties were doing something; conceiving with someone, laughing- somehow connected to some joyful event like their other songs. Mix the 'catchy" melody and simple lyrics of happy human relationship, this songs will be hummed by generations to come. As long as people will care for one another, these songs will be remembered long after we passed on.

Times change, things change, the recording and video equipment evolve, people age, and yet through it all the music rings true. The music that binds them together!
I'm crying because of her voice and memory 😭
I just love the seekers.
Always have.
Judith Durham had an unmistakable voice and she melted me to the floor at every glance.
So beautiful.
Judy's voice is impeccable and beautiful. She resounds like 2 voices in one and has not changed at all. Wow!
Judith had the clean, wholesome look of a sweetheart, and voice to match. All the Seekers were at the top of their game. Beautiful music.
Very old Brit here. Thank you for bringing back so many wonderful memories. We where blessed to have so many great artists.
Over fifty years and their voices are still beautiful!
It is absolutely astonishing how good they still sound. Just perfection.
That voice is unmistakable. Australia's great musical ambassadors. Hope Judith, Bruce, Keith and Athol are all doing well.
She has an incredible voice and mesmerizing performance. May God bless her and the whole seekers band members ❤️ Love you all ❤️
We will never find music like this anymore , Thanks The Seekers !!!!!
I always thought it quite sad that Judith took "critics" opinions to heart about her appearance. She was a lovely, extremely talented soul inside and out. One of my favorite groups ❤️ Harmony.
She was beautiful. Shame on those critics. She still is beautiful.
@@oldvet7547 Loved her then and still do! To me, she is the epitome of beauty inside and out!
I have to agree, she's beautiful and sings like an angel, what's to criticise, these guy's are great, I was born in 1966 and remember hearing their music and songs around our house, God bless my Mum.......thanks xx.
critics criticize.... they do not sing professionally and make hit records.
So very true.
tears in my eyes every time I hear this sing.
My goodness the clarity of those lead vocals. Angelic.
Amazed, that the same four people were able to come together at the beginning and comeback time and time again and not lose the magic. ✨🦘🇦🇺
I can still remember the Seekers, as a young guy, very good music. Judith Durham.May Her Soul Rest In Peace.🙏 She will never ever be forgotten.
Finally a Fab Four that grew old.
. . . . . . But still GOLD!!!
What joy!
Love the whole band.. Judith is in a league of her own
My mother passed in 1968... a couple of years ago, we converted some old reel to reel tapes of her voice to cd... one of her comments in early ‘65 while my dad was radio surfing, was for my dad to find that new song by the ‘Seekers’... she knew all the words just by the radio....see ya soon mom.
Hello Rosa
I was a child in my Caribbean island hearing that song. It has stayed with me forever, although at that time I did not know the name of the band. Judith Durham's voice is angelic
There’s an absolute honesty and sincerity to this music. No pretension, no ego, just four voices telling a wonderful story.
RIP Judith. Your beautiful voice will last forever.
RIP Judith Durham . Thank you for the music
@@thetruthbetold961 Amen!
Fantastic and strangely moving, they all seem to age so graciously.
Judith's voice rang clear and true as a bell.
I guess that makes four of us coming to tears. But for me, the tears come for no other reason that this is beautiful music.
@@jeremynv89523 Yup! Reason enough...be safe...God Bless...
I am really sorry for your loss, my dad died in 1969.
I have loved this amazing song from the first day I heard it as a teenager. The music, voices and tune are so beautiful and unique.
Such fun to see them singing and playing through the years. Judith’s voice is heavenly. The Seekers are such a great group.
Hello Carol
My grandad used to sing this to my nana when she was dying of cancer - it still brings tears to my eyes nearly 60 years later...
Hello my dear
I was born 1967.I had this song at my wedding 1991. Recently on May 26th 2021 the song just popped into my memory .I sang it for the whole day and that night I lost one of my best friends to Covid. This song epitomizes what she was to everyone. We will never find another Simone
I'm Sorry for your loss of your Friend to Covid.
R. I. P. Judith Durham, you've made millions of people all over the world happier and better seekers of happiness. Thank you!
Fantastic! What a classy group. And one beautiful song.
Gorgeous music and wonderful people, what a blessing to grow up with their performances.
How could anyone give a 'thumbs down' to The Seekers.......seriously?
The Kingston Trio.
We all can. A great band but no doubt out of you range and scope.
@@ozone1959 this question deserves to be answered but am a little mixed up. Can you enlighten me Kev
@@ozone1959 I'm not quite understanding you question.
@@ozone1959 One two many beers. I gotcha now.
Wow their 2014 sound was still gorgeous. What good vibes!
As was the original song in the sixties. What are vibes, by the way?
@@bancrows165 Vibes = feels = pleasant feelings
Yes. Saw them in Glasgow in 2014. Great performers.
I’m 62 and I love this song since I was 7 and I still listen to it every now and then.
For I know... the world will never find... another band... like YOU!
Thank you for decades of enchanting music.
Hello David, how are you doing. I believe you are staying safe. I'm Patti from California. I'm looking for a new friend and i saw your pic here, i hope you don't mind thank you.
What a great story and song and great artist, wow! It like my life the last 25 years all in one song. I had heard this before of course but i never had that person in my life until way later. And today at 72 I am living in my own Promised Land, God Bless the Seekers, all. D
Shedding a few tears...Just wonderful. Loved it when I heard it in high school in 1968, and even more now. Such lovely, classy people too. 💗
HOW do they sound the same throughout 50 years. That is amazing.
Absolute magic.
Real talent, real musicians, thats how
Fine technique and professionalism, using the instruments (particularly the voice) to best advantage.
A little reverb doesn't hurt :-)
Clean living, I hope.
Her voice is just one of a kind...
Wonderful band. Gorgeous harmonies and what a singer Judith Durham is! 'Morning Town Ride' was a part of my lovely childhood.
Thank you…tears of remembering something good in times of trouble.06/08/2021
Judith Durham was and is still a Goddess. Without her divine voice the Seekers would not have existed . I am 72 and was blessed and , at that time , bewildered the hear this on the radio . Wish they could exist forever.
I’m 69 years old and I played this song for my lovely wife on valentines and told her this is how I feel. Such a great song!
Love this group. Judith has the voice of an angel!
One of the best voices ever, really touching. And it all comes together in this song.
Every one of them looks and sounds fantastic still. I was with you then and I'm with you now. Love everyone of you!
Hand's on hips, the greatest female singer ever, how I loved the seekers
