- We are so excited to be here in Slovakia, we have 48 hours in Bratislava to see and do and eat as much as possible before our road trip around the country begins!

Wow I think this is most beautiful vlog about Bratislava I 've ever seen. Im so glad that you visited not only Bratislava but also other places in Slovakia. I would also recommend Košice its second largest city and it is one of the most beautiful cities in Slovakia. 😊☺️

I think I had a lot of prejudice and thought that it would be a country with grey concrete everywhere, and yes there is grey concrete, but when you visit parts like old town or the castle, it is really really beautiful. The history of the city and other things of Slovakia, like for example Slovakia is known for their wine and hospitality, is really interesting and help you see a different perspective and not what I thought I would see.

2. Mistake - We slovaks dont like kofola from bottles. We drink mostly drafted kofola :)

Yes how barbaric, we evacuated the German citizens during the final months of WW2 as the Soviet army was approaching the city. God knows what they would do with the Germans. TravelingMel please, not in February. It is not the best time. It is cold outside and everything is grey.🌧💨
It’s the coldest month :) but if you like skiing maybe you can go to High Tatras or other ski center. We have also hot springs so in the evening you can bath in hot healing water. Spa centers are amazing, many are in great nee condition and the price is very competitive - so it is definitely cheaper than Italy or so :) my favorite is Poprad aquacity, it is the one right next to High Tatras where you can ski. And btw, High Tatras is a highest peak of whole mountains called Carpathians (mountains starting here in Slovakia and going through Romania, Bulgaria ending in Serbia) ;)
Ps: I am going to edit all of my travel videos and try to rise my YT with it... once you are here maybe we can make a collaboration with local(me) maybe to join you to walk around - I am from Bratislava :)

Our country in fact is green and calm country.I consider it for very good place for living. What I realy like is 4 season, where the country look diferrently in autumn, in spring, winter and summer time.
You forgot to go the Devon castles, much more beautiful then Bratislava castle and it's on the outskirts of Bratislava just about 25min by bus from the centre form under the UFO bridge. That castle has amazing views also of Morava river, Czech r., Old Great Moravian ruins...it's AMAZING.

Yes, there is huge amount of castles and ruins in Slovakia. Smolenice castle, Trencin castle, Strecno castle, Beckov castle, just few of them. I heard, one of the countries with the most castles in the world compared to country size.
Must be nice for you, discover small country which is not so famous among travelers but still beautiful. I felt same in Laos.

unfortunately it's already been discovered I lived here for three years and in the past 4 years prices have drastically increased. a scoop of ice cream used to be $0.80 in the city now it's 1:50
It was discovered enough in past when it was called Pressburg. But after ww1 slovaks stole this city anf renamed it to bratislava

@@daveclima5497 Pressburg/Bratislava was never a part of the Austrian lands. The Germans lived there as in most cities throughout the Central Europe. After the WWI it became part of Czechoslovakia, the borders were drawn at a peace conference lead by the Western powers (not Slovaks).
6:18 absolutely agreed! Quick story: I cameras to Bratislava by night train, which arrived at 6 AM and got exactly the same feeling!

Oh wow, Slovakia looks so beautiful. Added to the list now! My partner and I are working our way through your videos 💕💕💕 You could do an old town tour of Spain - we loved the ones in Cadiz, Seville, Barcelona and Cordoba. Also, Tuscany is amazing in the Autumn and the food is so good. We went out to Florence and took a trip to Cortona where we had the best pasta ever. Amazing video guys but you need to visit the other cities as well as Banská Bystrica, Levoča, Bardejov and also Košice. But especially the oldest castle in Cental Europe - Spiš Castle.

So excited to go to Slovakia for the first time next summer! My grandparents on my mom's side immigrated to Upstate NY from Slovakia so going will be like understanding my family history! Looks like a beautiful country as well!
Stunning video guys! I really love how you made this video, you showed that nice of the capital. Appreciate u chose Slovak pub, I love it there, great food ( if you eat any soup there, you can't finish up the main dish :D). The broadcast tower that u saw from UFO is called Kamzík, from there you will have even better view, with a good visibility hundreds of km to Austria and the rest of Slovakia (however it is only bar and restaurant up there). For those who are coming I recommend that park next to UFO, there is also a relax spot at Tyršovo nábrežie, which is at the shore of Danube river. BUT, close to Bratislava are ruins of Devin Castle (20min by public transport), place where Danube river with Morava river collide, just an amazing landscape, don't miss it! (on the other side of river is Austria)

Slovakia is amazing! I'm from Poland and have been there multiple times, but I'm definitely gonna revisit as it's really underestimated
Went to that same restaurant and ordered the same three plate dumpling dish a few years ago. Super tasty, but definitely a bit much. The dumplings and sheep cheese pasta dish are SO rich, that after a few bites I was good! Haha.

I don’t know if you got to Ukraine or not but when you get the chance to travel again it is well worth the trip, despite rumors to the contrary it is one of the safest places in the world to visit and every city has a different history and theme. One of my favorite countries in the world and super cheap to travel
