Check out my blog post with the full list of all the things you can do in 24 hours in Bratislava! www.eternal-expat.com/2022/11/18/things-to-do-in-bratislava/
Slovakia seems like such a tranquil and lovely place. I am planning a 'Danube'/'Austro-Hungarian Empire' trip but I would prefer to drive from Vienna to Bratislava, it still appears to be about an hour! I then want to drive to Budapest in Hungary. I know Bratislava is an undiscovered gem, definitely want to see it!
Bratislava has quite a few things that one can do, but sadly they are not widely known. One of the gems I stumbled upon was in the Primate's Palace. It turns out the Palace houses the only complete tapestry set in the world depicting the mythological story of Hero an Leander. Something I would certainly recommend seeing There are other wonderful things to do in Slovakia, and things that are unique - for example we have the tallest gothic altar in the world, quite a few stunning wooden churches dating back to 14th century, the list goes on and on... I would recommend that people do more than just the capital for sure
I am glad that I had a chance to view this clip, since my family/I will take a day visit to Bratislava via organized tour during our 4/9/23 - 4/15/23 trip to Vienna. We'll digest your thoughts for a thorough planning. Many thanks!
My husband and I recently did trains through Switzerland, stopping for a day or two here and there. So much fun! I will be waiting for your next stop. Love your videos.
Is it ok in March? I'm going back to do college again and when we get our spring breaks I want to do something very special. I want to see Vienna, Bratislava, and Budapest!
In March weather can be sunny but still cold, maybe 0-15 degrees Celsius. Vienna and Budapest are two times bigger than Bratislava, so they have more to offer.
Thanks for showing me this city where I went to school. It didn't look like this then, only the main train station, unfortunately. The presidential palace was used by the people at that time. Since I lived nearby, I played there daily. It's got a large garden. It's good to see how lovely it's now, after the renovations and western shops. Communist shops were woeful and mainly empty. Halusky looked yummy!😄
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
I appreciate so much this video. Next week I'll start my trip from Budapest until Prague as the last stop. But I'll stay in this city one night and your video helps me a lot to know how beautiful place I will discover. Thanks and greetings from Spain!
(the room looks not too cozy???? ) My ancestors are Slovak and I was impressed when I was there in the 1970's that it was just across the Danube from Vienna! What IS that dish-looks comforting alright. I'm a new comer to you. Just started watching tonight when I typed in Creel, Copper Canyon.. Im searching right now for a good place for me and my boyfriend to visit for our birthdays.... in January, not the warmest month. Were pretty ancient yet lazing at the beach is not that interesting. I think I'll check your Madrid video Mañana. Thank you Laura Bronner. Would love to know how you got into this exotic mode of living life? Namaste
It was cozier than it looked! The dish was a sampler of three different Slovak dishes - mostly different types of dumplings with different sauces. I particularly loved the sheep cheese sauce! Creel is a magical place and I definitely recommend it, but maybe not in January. Madrid is great at any time of year, but if you're looking for slightly warmer weather I recommend heading to Seville or Valencia (I've got a Seville video on the channel as well!). As for how this whole lifestyle got started... I left the US in 2010 for a gap year and I fell in love with living in different countries and traveling. For most of the first 7 years, it was all about working, saving money, quitting, traveling and then starting again. But around 2016 I started a blog and have since been able to turn that alongside this youtube channel and a few other products I've created into my full-time job! I feel very fortunate to still be on the road as much as I am and I often have to pinch myself that this is my reality! Life's full of unexpected adventures!
I love your videos. Thanks to you. We were knew to go to cafe Bola in Madrid and had the most wonderful lunch! interested in your itinerary for this trip by rail? I will check out your other videos! Keep on traveling and posting, thank you!
Your video is very informative. I am now one of your subscribers. My husband and I are traveling to Vienna last week of April and we would like to visit Bratislava for a day. Did you buy the train ticket on the same day at the station or online in advance? Looking forward for your response. Thank you for sharing your experience. Stay happy and safe traveling.
We should have come during daytime like you 😋 Pity we didn't really get to see how beautiful Bratislava is, but maybe next time! At least we got to see more in your video 😊
Nice video but could you please use the adjective Slovak not Slovakian? It is derived from the official name of the country which is Slovak Republic not Slovakia thus Slovak people, Slovak language etc.
Why do you say Slovakian language or Slovakian beer. There is no such word Slovakian. It's Slovak beer and Slovak language. Slovak mountains, Slovak cities, Slovak people etc. Please get it right.

Just came back from there a few days ago. Definitely loved the city. Thanks for bringing us back the beautiful memories.
It's a great city to be sure, quite a lot to do and see!
My husband and I recently did trains through Switzerland, stopping for a day or two here and there. So much fun! I will be waiting for your next stop. Love your videos.
Switzerland is such a beautiful place to explore by train (or any method really, but the train network is amazing)!
Switzerland is amazing, ridiculously expensive though
In summertime it is a 100% better. I love your enthusiasm in such a cold and foggy weather. 😄 Thank you for your visit in our capital. 🤗

WOW WOW WOW
Laura, you missed first snow in Lithuania :P
I'm already back in Lithuania, follow along on Instagram and you'll see I didn't miss the snow (or these subzero temperatures!).
Nice
Beautiful trip. :)
It was such a fun trip!!
I prefer off season travelling so that the tourist crowds are minimized. Shoulder seasons can be the sweet spot.
Love Slovakia ( moje Slovensko)
Bratislava isnt small you just havent seen anything else then main centre of the city.
Such a pretty city, too bad it was not on a clear day.
Yea it was a shame about the weather, but it was still great to explore the city :)
hi, how much was the train ticket from vienna to bratislava?
Nice city, but it just simply has no chance in the vienna-budapest-cracow-prague square. But anyhow, nice vid
Scotty doesn't know
oHHMOOO, I've been there too🤭
❤❤❤❤👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Nice video but could you please use the adjective Slovak not Slovakian? It is derived from the official name of the country which is Slovak Republic not Slovakia thus Slovak people, Slovak language etc.
Can we rent a locker to put our luggage while we spend a day in Bratislava?
Check the app Bounce. That’s what I use to find luggage storage when I’m traveling around Europe 👍
I love a woman who drinks beer!
Словакия супер город

Very underwhelming city compared to Prague or even Košice
It's our capital and lot smaller and different to Prague 😄
Not impressive.
