I got the S in 2021 and loved it for a few years. Recently got the X and the X is better but not omg better. The Series S is a great console!! I still have a soft spot for it so I kept it and gave it to my kid.
Got Series X at launch. Bought a Series S a year or 2 later. I would consider getting a 2nd Series X if it's a little bit cheaper. If that means a digital only machine I would take that hit. Because I don't want to be stuck on a Series S if my older Series X breaks down.

Summary: If this is not going to be a main driver, it’s super value for money. Example for my use case: PS4 Main driver. Will be getting a PS5 once PS4 is phased out by Sony. Have a Switch Lite. Planning to get Steam Deck Oled and Gaming laptop. So in this use case of having 1) Gaming Laptop, 2) Nintendo Switch Lite, 3) PS4/5 4) Steam Deck Oled. Do you honestly think I will spend money on a Series X? In my use case a Series X is utterly useless. And Xbox will never ever be my main driver anyway. TLDR: If you got a Gaming PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck OLED, Series S is a good fit and Series X is utterly worthless.
Do you own one, if not your opinion is rejected. It’s the best budget option in gaming right now, it doesn’t matter how much money you have if you only have $350 you can buy a series S and enjoy next GEN gaming

def worth for you’re okay with digital, but I say save a little and get the more powerful Series X
I just bought used one for 155€ with one controller. I plan to used is as game pass console. I found a deal for 13 months game pass ultimate for 43€.

Well worth it!!! I have both X and S. Besides the 4k, the S still looks and plays great. Especially with gamepass
