I went in the store looking to buy the series X because of 1tb storage, but 500 dollars for something I play once a week is crazy. I didn't even know the series S carbon existed. Well, I bought the carbon instead seeing it was 150 dollars cheaper. It is a great console. I already had a seagate 2tb xbox external hard drive, so now I have 3tb of storage. Sure, I have to switch games back and fourth but I don't care. I will probably wait to see if they make another version of the series X, or just wait until the next xbox generation drops until I buy another.
I have the original white one with a custom 4tb drive, this new Xbox is pointless especially when you can buy a carbon black skin £5 if that's all you're buying it for. No disc dive version is a mystery.
I've got a 4tb HDD segate external and 512gb internal WD I got the 4tb HDD £20 cashconverters and the internal WD SSD m.2 I got £30 on fb market site. And I picked the white Series S up for £100 gumtree. Shop around the bargains are out there to be had.

Also its only 50 dollars more and you get 1tb compared to 512. 1tb storage would cost way more than that. granted its more like 800 something. But I already had a 2tb external so I don't care about that. I was going to get the X but I don't game enough anymore to want to spend that kind of money. The S carbon is absolutely perfect for my needs.

It doesn’t natively support 4K (as it only supports 1440p) but if you have a 4K TV, it does upscale to that picture quality.
