Absolutely love the Series S, the 4K gaming isn't a must have or need for me. Picture looks incredible as it is @ 1440p, great little beast if your on a budget and still experience the current gen gaming 🎮🔥💯
@eugene9122 Really depends on how much you want to spend to be honest. I wanted the Series X but ended up settling for my Series S due to the fact I had a PS5. That 1440p monitor will absolutely make that little beast picture pop 💯👌
@@Bearded_Aztec same I got a ps5 already, and not press on series x but was looking for at an Xbox to add. Have two monitor one a 4k monitor and another 1440p with a display port. appreciate the fast feedback, I'll definitely look to add series s after this discussion. Thanks again 🙏🏾
@LexBearded I'm thinking of buying a series s but people are saying that the graphics ain't that good like on gta 5 and fortnite and stuff and I'm a sweat in fortnite so I need good graphics so idk
Always awesome to see videos like this from you! I have been in the Xbox ecosystem since 2004 and have a fair sized physical game collection from over the years and so I have a Series X in my living room. But I also own a number of games digitally and enjoy them on my Series S in the spare room. It's a good little console. You could also just have a Series S for current gen games and have an Xbox One around for physical games if you are on a budget. Anyway, great video!
Yes, it surely is a good option, especially for casual players who doesn't feel like 4k is that much big of a deal. You spend less and get a new gen console, which is pretty good looking and portable since its size.
@@UltraGreenNo.57 Yea, and even on these high end consoles, they just upscales the graphic to 4k. Many games also don't even run in "4k" 60fps as they did claim when this generation came out
Yes it's absolutely worth the asking price for the Xbox Series S. Even more so if you can find one below the recommended retail price. Bought mine for £189.95p.
Finding out about the travel convenience was a happy accident for me lol. I flew to Florida for my college graduation last year since I was an online student. Unfortunately, I went alone and ended up staying in a Marriott off the highway near my school. Luckily, I had the foresight to bring my Series S along since I was playing through the Master Chief Collection and had started the last campaign. And thank God I brought it along because the hotel smart tv was TERRIBLE to navigate through and the netflix and youtube apps kept logging me off if I paused a video for longer than 5 minutes.
I have a PS5 but I only use it for Cod and GTA I might sell it. I might just stick with the Series S since I only play cod most likely I'll game share with my cousin
This console is definitely still worth it in 2023. If you're into current games in the xbox line and aren't a frame rate nerd this thing can't be beat.
The s is perfect for casual gamers who want a gampass machine. Unless you play competitive shooters the s is perfect and even with competitive games it's great
what makes the series S a better gamepass machine to the xbox one s ??? the xbox one s has gamepass aswell ...and you can play series s/x games through the cloud..... my question is if i own a xbox one s .. is the series s worth the upgrade??? i can buy a used series S for $219 at a local mom and pop shop for that price is it worth it???
@@commanderclaude8781 A few things to take into consideration. Number 1. While Cloud gaming is decent the Xbox cloud gaming system has some noticeable input lag which kind of sucks ( Could be just me but im an online FPS player so any input lag is a no go for me ) 2. The Series S on average cuts loading times by over 5x. So that's a huge difference. Then comes the graphical performance. The Series S can do 900p-1440p @ 120hz on most games. The One S caps at 1080p 60 fps IF YOU ARE LUCKY. I am not saying you need to get the SS but it will be 100x the device you have now. @@commanderclaude8781219 is great downside is the series s doesn’t have lots of storage. If u just want to play a couple game pass games at a time it’s great. If u ever need more storage u have to get a xbox series s card
Even without Game Pass, as I don't subscribe to that. As I just buy all my games from Microsoft Store. Because they always have deals on games, with big price discounts. I never buy video games at full price anymore. I currently have more than 300 games for my Xbox Series S.
The pros of this that the ps5 dont have due to it has edge browser build in the os system allows for some browser based cloud gaming service providers. Pros of it being that you can play games that normally arent on xbox but on pc ps5

I'm thinking about whether I should get the Xbox Series S as a second console. Whether that makes much sense because I know that I'll spend 70% more time on the PlayStion than on the Xbox, but I'll get it just for fun (weird flex) haha
If you want to play the latest games with all the bells and whistles, then no. I've had a Series S for a while now and it's annoying how many developers can't be bothered to optimise their games properly for it.
