People aways overlook the slots in the foot of the press and that the power head can swivel. If you make the cabinet front to back deeper, say 6,8 -ish inches and base floor past rear panel. The hollow created with various straps or clamps mounting methods for long stock, for end boring long stock by pushing back the press and rotate the head, counter weight in base. Hollow can also store special fences and flat jigs.
Well thought out as always, well done Jean!
What a coincidence. I see myself building the drawers. I have exactly the same structure. Greetings from Germany - Bavaria
Jean, what a great video and awesome project! Again its amazing, what you do. Plus, in some way I really feel connected to you for a better stand for a new drillpress is definitely going to be one of my next projects! Thanks a lot!
Bud you amaze as usual.......keep it up. I don't know why you don't have 1m subs!
Great job! Thanks. You gave excellent ideas again :) Keep them coming and stay safe!
Nice work! Also, it's nice to see a woodworker on UA-cam who hasn't thrown away all the guards on their table saw. You're a rare breed these days. 😂
Mooi man! Great design and setup, keep the videos coming.
I’ll pick up some good ideas again here 👍
Nice build
This is a very neat and well designed build. I just subscribed to your channel today.
bonne demo pour fabriqué des tiroires
O think you would benefit from having adust collection system. Maybe try building a cyclone dust filter so the vacuum can run for long periods without need to be serviced.
Great video and quality content as always! However, I noticed there's a high pitch tone in all of your quiet takes. I don't notice it when you're talking or using a power tool but whenever there is a clip that's quiet, where you are assembling the drawers, there is a very loud tone. I just thought I should make you aware of this noise since I didn't notice anyone else mention it in the comments. Maybe my ears just haven't been destroyed by power tools yet 😄
Nice! Instead of miter saw, maybe a trim router, with wood pieces clamped in vise would be better?
Just a suggestion, I've utilized and have had success in the past, especially with multiple pieces to dado
Buen trabajo para accesorios. Un saludo
Nice build Jean.
May I ask, why did you choose to have the backs of your drawers inset into dadoes instead of just rebating them onto the ends of the side pieces? Was that just to be able to get to the back of the drawer a little easier without pulling the drawer off it's slides?
Thanks man. A great video as always.
Só faltou o projeto na descrição
You're way, waaay ahead of me with your shop but I made progress and finally unboxed and installed the Makita MLT100!
Nice design for your drill press stand. I don't have one yet but I know where to find inspiration.
Question: What is the ideal distance for calculating the space for the sliders? I still run into problems that the gap is either to wide or narrow.
Goeie werk soos altyd. Sterkte daar in SA
hallo , heeft u er ook bouwplannen van deze boorstandaard?
Sangat membantu!
Was it just me or is there a super high pitched drone in the background? Young people, where you at?
If it is there, it is masked by my tinnitus.
So, the traditional drawer types have a floating bottom that is not glued or affixed on any side. Is there a reason why you chose to glue the bottoms into place instead?
Traditional drawer bottoms are made from solid wood and have to allow for expansion and contraction due to changes in humidity. As he used plywood there is no reason to not use glue as it is inherently more stable.
How do the drawers slide with some tool weight in them? Wondering about the slides.
Would Soft-Close Drawer Slides work?
In Part 2 I add Push-to-Open latches which would clash with Soft-Close rails.
when we going to see next table saw restore video ?
I will give an update on the saw at the end of part 2 of this video.
I know there are many different languages spoken in South Africa, do you speak any of the others? (Hi from USA 👋)
My first Language is Afrikaans.
I don't know, I think I like my stand better - it's a mini-fridge full of Heineken.
There ya go! 😂

Each time he starts a sentence with "Right", you drink.
Longer videos are better !
Like your channel, btw you must be a electrician!!Because your more than capable to do woodwork,so you nota office guy,but evertime you touch something ,you dust off your hands thus you probably a electrician fullti.e
I am an electrician.
I'm first 😁
I enjoy your videos and the way you solve some of the problems of the small workspace. But you have one annoying problem and if I was there you would be being hit by block of 3x4 timber, have you counted how many times you say "All right guys" sometime it is at the end of every sing separate sentence you use. It can become a bad habit and drive people away from your UA-cam channel
Your lift for your wells need a lock to keep it up it might be a bit hard to to roll around on one foot.😊
I need me that part 2!!! Great vids!
Loving this project these are great vids mate keep em coming 👍🏻
What is the size of your workshop?
Awesome work, dude! It's looking better and better! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I love your videos, dude. Thanks. All the best for 2021.
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.
Very impressed with how clever this is. Well done. You are inspiring me to build something like this too.
Always enjoy how thorough your videos are. Thx for sharing with us.
That is a great idea on those slides. I never would have thought of using those on top and bottom. Thanks for sharing.
This is great! I'm planning on building a drill press stand too so this gave me a lot of ideas
What kind of plywood are you using?
Two parts? scandal!
Sorry about that. The full video edit is more than 30mins.
