Hello, I am French, I have been following you for a few days on UA-cam. I love what you do, your work is super neat and above all what creativity, it's super functional what you do. I'm appreciative. Good for you. Friendship Thierry
What do you mean you had no time for finishing the ultimate part!? Ahhh, you had to trim that big beard... Fantastic job! The storage cabinet, of course. Really neat design.
Best drill press stand I have seen. I have watched many UA-cam videos and yours are some of the most innovative. I was wondering why you used dados instead of rabbets for the top and bottom pieces, but then your handle idea and push to open plan explained this. Really good ideas. I really don't know where you get the inspiration for such clever yet easy to build ideas.
Great piece of shop furniture. So nice, in fact, that it practically cries out to have a little insert on the front to complete the trim where the base of the drill press sits. Just for looks, it would come out whenever you need to remove the drill press. It's also crying out for some kind of finish. I know you don't usually finish your shop furniture, but this one looks too nice, it needs some protection. Even just some spray poly would be good.
This has to be my favorite project of yours and this is the 3rd time watching it. I haven't looked, but I am hoping you have plans for it. After this 3rd viewing, I definitely want to build this for my shop. There are a lot of steps to the build so as you did, I will be doing this is steps so as not to get to over whelmed with a one day build. The genius of this design has to be the vertical drawer behind the pillar. Here I was just going to attach a shelf to the pillar that swings in when needed and back when not. I then would have had to find a placement for the rest of my drill bits and attachments. I just finished laying out every bit and attachment I have to make sure it will all fit. This will be a fun project!!
I'm thinking in the middle...how's he going to add that handle? There's CLEARLY no room. He didn't think it through! Wow major oversight. And then the piano hinges. Oh yeah, he's the genius and I'm the dummy. Wish I could leave two likes on this movie (and all the rest of his movies).
Verry nice build 👌 lots of thought went into utilizing every cubic inch of that place. However I don't suspect the push to open poppers will have a long life with the weight the drawers full of bits and drills. I advise doubling them up. Even more practical would be to just use a handle. Yes they will probably mess up the clean look a bit. But when working it's easier and faster to throw them open and shut without a thought. Personally I love the poppers but only to create a clean look in the house whare I'm not constantly opening and closing doors and drawers in a hurry.
You may need to double up on the push to opens for the removable unit... It's going to be heavier once that's got the bits in... Nevermind, I should really wait until the end of the video... Great project!
You could do push to open on the smaller drawers, go to the back of the drawer router in a channel (on the side of the drawer) to allow for the push to open to live and there you go. (though the friction on the drawer slides may be to much for them)
In the US, those rounded nuts are called acorn nuts. Nice job on the project, it's exactly what I need to build for my drill press and all its odds and ends.
This is great as always :) I think it would be a really cool detail if that top facier of the pull out drawer of interest could pull up or perhaps even spring up automatically, when chalf the box is clear of the slot. Two reasons: the bottom has use of catching the push release, this would have a symmetrical use. Also a little shamfer of the box behind the upper facier would make it easy to do I reckon, if it can be done while hiding the fixing point-making it look really neat when pulled up/out :)
I would add one detail to your drill bit storage unit. A vertical through all and a dawl on a "chain" as a travel lock. That can store in the handle area when not in use. Without somthing like that all of thous drawers of bits are going to shift the balance of your load and eject themselves onto the floor and then tip your other load the other direction. Don't ask how I know this.
Will the push-to-open springs be strong enough once you get the drawers fully loaded? Drill bits and the like can be pretty heavy. If they do work, you better paint your drawer fronts because dirty hands will quickly ruin the nice clean look of your drawers otherwise. Nice work.
Wow! You have some great ideas in use. How did you line up everything for the loose bit drawers? The video makes it look like you are just that awesome with eyeballing it. :)
@@WoodshopJunkies this post was over a year ago, just wondering what happened to building a table and if you have plans on your website somewhere for tjis drill press cabinet?
i have watched your drill press videos hundreds of times trying to pause and play for every measurement i am trying to recreate this will you please sell me these plans i have purchased others and they are wonderful PLEASE!!!!
Looks nice ! You should paint it at least to protect it from oil when drilling metal :). Also did you plan to make a plan of it (even a paid one to support your channel !) ? I will be greatly interested to make something similar for my small workshop :)
Some great ideas on storage, I wonder about the weight of the finished product, could thinner material such as 12mm for the draws. I would love to know how the magnets in the drill bit draws hold up, I am thinking about using a modification of this for a flip top table I am designing.
A neat and practical design. How long did it take you to build the drawers and drawer fronts? In your video it looks like a couple of hours but I know if I was making it , it would take me at least a week!
Jean, another great- do- it- yourself project. I think the handles are great, why outsource when you can make them!?! BTW your videos go too quick for my liking, and sadly its over. Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks for demonstrating the process of template cutting and routing. Most makers will go straight for the CNC machine.
Super shop piece! A piece worthy of being in your living room! Oh wait, as a woodworking person, the shop IS your living room! 😉
You, my man, are the expert at using every bit of space!
One of the best cabinets I've seen inside here!.If not the best..
Keep the good work mate.Greetings from Greece
This cabinet is very functional!Great job!
I like the handle much better than a store bought one. Great idea
Nice build!
Being organized creates more usable space.
Que belleza de mueble. Todo es perfecto!. Gracias por mostrar.
That drill press stand looks really nice I like your work
Never imagined those kinds of push to open hardware to be strong enough to push the whole middle unit out! good to know
Very nice job. A lot of ideas in only one project. congratulations!

It's nice like a jewelry box. Maybe you could make a smaller version for your wife for Christmas next year.
Nice middle drill bit idea, sweet! And cool trim with MDF and the plywood.
Buddy you are amazing with your ideas........you have an incredible mind!
Clever conception, well thought out and well constructed!
Lugnut. One of my favourite hardware terms and insults.

And you answered my question... Can't wait to see it.
Great ideas combined with well thought out design. looking forward to seeing the rear vertical drawer installation.

This is amazing, Jean! Really well done!
Very nice stand! I may need to build one of those myself.
Very neat, and several clever solutions!
Came out very nicely. Lots of nice ideas in there!
How in hell do you come up with these ideas!!!!!! That’s the best looking thing on UA-cam, I gotta have a go at copying this 👍👍👍
I was going to ask the same question. I am ever amazed at these ideas and the precision of the result.
Do you have plans available?

Well done there's a lot of work in that little cabinet it looks great!
Looks pretty cool... Like it a lot.... You should paint it to match the new color of your new saw color
You're brilliant again! Simple and great each part. Excellent design! Thanks!
Another very well thought out design, top notch fella 👌🏻
Very nice content! :) Love the different drawer's ideas
I wonder if your house is this organized. Great job!
That turned out really nice. Great work. 👍🏻
This is fantastic. Love the creative storage for all the things!
That jig is cool. Great job
WOWOWOWOW... as allways, fantastic design
Really fantastic work, dude! It looks great! 😃
Happy holidays! And stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Very nice! way better than a lot of the "Ultimate" type videos.
Brilliant design!
That was a lot of effort for rounded corners for the drill bit storage! I don't think it looked any better than straight. great job!
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.
Superbe, très bonne idée 👍
Absolutely brilliant as always.
Very well done! Great design.
That's one beautiful build. It surely gave me some ideas for some of my storage solutions.

i know I'm kinda off topic but do anyone know of a good site to watch new movies online?
@Marc Tripp I watch on FlixZone. Just google for it :)
@Marc Tripp I would suggest FlixZone. You can find it on google :)
Nicely done, stand is way nicer than the tin box I've been using 🙄 bet you'll be able to find what you want when you need it!
That is one fine cabinet. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas.
Very cool. Well thought out design.
Merry Christmas.
Look forward to more videos.
Great work! Looking forward to seeing the rest of this series. I'm looking at plans for my own drill press and I really love your ideas.
I'm really enjoying your works. So simple, so great. I'll use some of your ideas for my projects (If you don't mind...). Keep up the great work!!!
Very very cool, Hamilton New Zealand
professional build as usual great have a good 2021

Cap nuts or dome nuts over here in Ireland 🇮🇪. Great work as always, the push to open is a very nice touch! 👍
Also seen them called acorn nuts.
Acorns in England 🏴
Acorn nuts in the US as well.

"unfortunately I've run out of time" again.. But no worries looks awesome and love the process. Keep it up and greeting from the Netherlands 👍
very ingenious ideas. well done
Nice jobs. Stay creative!
That pull out drill bit box works really well and those handle are a great idea!! Very clever design. I hope you have a great Christmas and New Year 👍
very nice job mate

Nice job man! Cheers
Wow, a lot of work!
But it turned out very very great
dammit, I caught myself blowing the dust off the router twice as you were routing the slots
Haha

15:00 Dome nut or acorn nut are the usual names for those things. :)
Great! Thanks!
Ditto. Acorn nuts are very useful when not trying to rip clothing or skin open. Especially useful in exterior or bathroom light fixtures as well
Good job👍!!!
Well done! Merry xmas.
Un trabajo genial
In the UK a dome headed nut,Merry Christmas.
😎...Nice work... 👍
Ever thought of using double sided tape instead of the blue tape when putting the MDF on the plywood? Less needed to do the same holding job.
Great design. I think I might have tried to put the foot pedal arrangement on a side. I hate those lift pedals right where you stand.
Wow! You have some great ideas in use. How did you line up everything for the loose bit drawers? The video makes it look like you are just that awesome with eyeballing it. :)
Ever consider making a Drill Press Table? Would love to see your ideas on that
It will form part of the completed cabinet.
