Something you misunderstood about the third story, the friend that kept texting her that her husband was cheating on her and the friend that said you'll regret it if you go and hes not cheating and that gave her the ultimatum are two DIFFERENT friends.

Great episode everyone! One comment: I think Danny is right to not be empathetic to the woman in the third question. I would be more sympathetic if
    A. It was a friend group rather than one single person convincing her of cheating or
    B. He didn't give 5-7 pieces of evidence decomfiriming the cheating before the stalking even started.
This is like if your best friend told you constantly that the moon was made out of pudding and you started to believe it.

For how the friend was acting...I think the OP had issues already, and the friend does too, or wanted to ruin the relationship because of being a bitch or something.
Like, nothing else explains why the fuck the friend would be that insisting on telling her friend about her husband's decent relationship with a recent female coworker, nor why OP would check all his stuff while saying she kept her friend's accusations out of mind.
The way OP doesn't recognize at all how telling those actions were, simply because "they have an open device policy" is incredibly indicative that she CAN'T be fully well mentally. She needs therapy, and if her husband constantly tried to assuage her about it, I believe he can help her through all this and keep the relationship...
So long as the aforementioned deranged friend is kept out of her life from then on.

  • @ovelhadogelo

The last story can indeed have both answers, but it all depends on how the woman would talk to her husband about. If she's the type of person that says "I was influenced and saw that you're better than this, good boy", then we can hold some grudge about it. Otherwise, if she recognizes her mistake and apologizes for it, then protect her at all costs.

Tw: real Life Trauma related to conspiracies
So some real life viewer experience here, since my dad got into right wing conspiracy theories during COVID and I was struggling to keep my relationship with him until a few months ago.
This stuff is like an addiction, you cannot let go of it unless you want to and if their partner doesn't want to this will not get better, no matter the husband's input.
I broke off contact with my dad about a month ago when my mom was in the hospital (they separated shortly after my birth and i live with my mom, yes I have a job and pay rent) and I was seriously sick and all he did was preach about some sort of revelation I must have if I don't want my mom to DIE.
So yeah, I tried this for 4 years at this point and all I got was my father, a person I know literally since birth, kicking me when I was down. There is no saving these people unless they want to be saved. It'll bring you nothing but harm to keep holding onto these sorts of relationships.

Okay, for the first one I agree with Joseph if he didnt extend into being ironic near the end of it. Everyone gets mislead. In her mind she was trying to do what she thought was the best. And if I may give a hot take, maybe its the fault of everyone around her for letting her believe in these things? Like where are we at as a society where people wont even speak up when someone is obviously wrong and try their best to help someone. Do people not realize how bad and stressful these negative thought patterns are? I would never even consider breaking up with my partner if they did that. But maybe the fact you even consider it shows that you should break up, I dont think if you loved someone as much as you could with whoever you'd end up living your life with, that you'd do that to them.

No. just absolutely not. This woman is not a child, she is not some helpless creature, she is an adult human being who tried to firebomb a cell tower. That's not something you do because you "get mislead".
To your point about no one speaking up, her partner literally did speak up. He mentioned in the post that they'd been arguing about it on and off for months, and she refused to listen. You cannot help someone who does not want to be helped, who doesn't even realize they need help.

@@bencrandall-malcolm8303 That's not true, peoples perception of reality can be vastly different than one another. This is why psych wards exist, because the way some people perceive and therefor interact with the world is built on an aberrated manifest. Have you never done drugs before and seen this first hand? Of course shes not a child -- shes heroic, she loves her partner, she risked her life to do the only thing she could ever think was right in her frame of reality. Although, no, I guess you're right.. these crazy people don't listen to reason! • @johntheamazing9337
    @johntheamazing9337 Місяць тому

    ok, incest one.
Firstly, wanting to have a child which is related to you could just be something she's always wanted, its completely fine to want to share down your genetics and to want to raise a child in a conventional way.
secondly, if you think about it on paper (and only on paper) if you want to have a child in a more traditional sense with someone and want to share down both people's genes, like many people would like, if youre in a gay relationship, with current technology that is publicly available, the only method is getting someone related to 1 person to take the other role.
thirdly, I think that the idea of touching the father's semen is what pushes it over the line. the concept of fertilising the egg in a lab and then reintroducing it to the mother is bearable being the only option which ticks her boxes, but still a little weird, but effectively masturbating with the person you have sex with's father's semen is disgusting.

I thought about it more and the extreme reaction to this situation most people have could be most easily compared to an allergy.
Allergies are when the body mistakes something for poison and rejects it even to the extent of severely harming the person. Of course telling them this isnt going to stop their allergic reaction its going to kill them.
This reaction to having her to be father in law's child is an extension of this extreme rejection of incest which has served humanity well. Her wife effectively told an allergic person to just get their immune system to accept nuts instead of getting an epipen.
