N'oubliez jamais, Vergiß nie, Никогда не забывайте, Never forget...
Your reactions to Sabaton are great! With your great history knowledge (with French accent) :-) , and raising passion for my favourite band. Sabaton , Its a pleasure to watch your reactions!
Thank you, I am very happy that you enjoy this content 😃
Great reaction again, thank you. There is a song from The Great War album that is also very fitting for this time of the year, The End of the War to End All War. And then you might also want to listen to In Flanders Fields. They also have a song specifically about Passendaele, The Price of a Mile. Greetings from Belgium🤘
Thank you for these suggestions, cheers from France dear neighbour!
Lest we forget.
Very well said. Art helps us to understand history more than what we can get only from a page in a book. Great reaction and commentary, thank you.
Thank you very much dude!
I must say, Sabaton has brought World War 1 to the forefront for people to learn about it, I didn't know not much about the Great War before Sabaton did 2 albums about this important topic!
Art and entertainment are really the best way to make people love History I think, and Sabaton does it with such talent and passion!
Sabaton's song "The Price of a Mile" is directly about the 3rd battle of Ypres ( Passchendaele)
Thanks! I'll review it at some point for I need to know more about it
My great great grandfather has fallen on the eastern front in Galicia in 1915. As a Czech he was mobilised to Austro-Hungarian army and sent to the front. Lest we forget! My second great great grandfather (from mother’s side) when he was mobilised deserted and escaped to Serbian side from where he managed to get to Greece and from there to French north Africa (Tunisia today I think). From there to France where he joined French foreign legion and later Czechoslovak legion which fought alongside French and British troops against Central powers for Czechoslovak independence.
2 warriors, 2 heroes, thank you for sharing that!
Good morning! This song is so good! Very dark tho. Btw, is that a real french helmet from WWI?
Thank you, it's a replica of the Adrian WW1 helmet!
Great video to an amazing song. New here so I don't know if you have rules on suggestions. If you do take them, I recommend Weaponizing Ice Cream in WW2 by the channel The Fat Electrician. Its an interesting little factoid, and The Fat Electrician is a pretty entertaining dude as well.
Welcome, the only rule on suggestions: there is no rule! Thanks for the idea, I didn't know The Fat Electrician at all, it sounds fun! Greetings from France!
Sorry to correct u, this song is more of the war in a whole, while the song "A price of a mile" is specificly about Pashandale
The song is really supposed to be about Passchendaele - you can watch the Sabaton History episode dedicated to it - but it does have a rather general meaning about the Great War. That's why I chose it to commemorate the Armistice!
