We are John and Lora Moreno! We have 4 cute half-asian kids and we make videos all the time to show our friends around the world what our life is like. John grew up in the Philippines until he was 17 and Lora is a small town girl from Wyoming! We have videos about our relationship, including How we met, and how we raise our half filipino kids. We travel, we do fun projects, we homeschool our kids, and we have a strong faith in Jesus Christ that leads every aspect of our lives. Everyday is an adventure.
Welcome to Our Half Asian Adventure.

There are too many vloggers just playing tricky videos yet they get viral while this family teach us more about living in the Philippines. Hope you get more subscribers sharing your humble living and helping more Filipinos. I will keep supporting you daily vlogs and will not skip ads. God bless!
Thats the sweetest thing. Thank you
Hi Moreno family! Rie here, Paul's wife, and subscriber! Love your videos about your daily life in the Philippines. Your lifestyle there has vast differences than in the US (such as availability of specialized food needs for you and your children and other American products, drinkable water, laundry needs, daily basic life needs, flushable toilets, power brown outs) AND YET there are some similarities (especially when it comes to your church mission of giving and helping others). Yes, the cost of living seems to be way cheaper than in the US but the one issue that worries us with being American in the PI is the cost of MEDICAL CARE if you do not have health insurance OR the cash to PAY your hospital bill to get discharged. It's frightening to think about especially with four very young children ♡ We pray that your beautiful family's future stays safe and blessed. Planning for all future needs and expenses should be made with your young family in mind. Having an actual CAR is much safer there than a tricycle, again for your children's safety. John, your skills as an artist are absolutely amazing (Eli's SHOES! Wow!) and Lora, you have skills in midwifery AND maybe even teaching English, which might be another form of income when in the PI but please plan for medical care too ok? Take care of each other and sending you all the best on your trip back to the US! Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Thank you for the sweet and thoughtful comment. We really value all that you're saying and will definitely apply it.
We are planning to buy a land over there and like what you guys said been planning like six months here in the US six months in the PH. We hate winter so freaking tired of cold. Bill way higher every winter and summer season about almost 500 bucks because we have well water plus electricity we don't have the right to complain because we choose two storey house 5 rooms three baths for me i realize its a waste of money because we are three people in the house and once in a blue moon to have visitor's,Anyways we are looking forward to live there as well. Hope the not skipping ads helps a little for you and your family love you all
Aww very cute with the fireworks. Happy New Year
we love you guys and also the adorable children's 🥰🥰🥰
More power for 2 of you both
Godspeed to you. Stay safe.

God is good. His healing hands is upon your wife. Keep the faith, know that you’re in our thoughts.
Well if you all going to have a small farm, perhaps planting vegetables can help with the food expenses.
Thanks!
GOD BLESS YOU BOTH AND KIDS. 🙏
When the time comes to sell the car, you may consider replacing it with a diesel van that can seat 8-12 people. But also get a tricycle if you can so that you only use the van for long trips and for carrying many people. The tricycle is for daily short trips to the market, etc., but it allows you to save cash for the inevitable long trips for carrying people.
Another beneficial expense you may want to do is to have the kids go part-time to some of the specialized schools that teach martial arts, sports, camping, dancing, singing, etc., because this will give them more interactions with the local children and help them learn Tagalog/Filipino faster.
Hi! I know this family personally. I visited their home a few times. (I was a missionary in Mindoro before) They are a genuine, kind, helpful and selfless couple and beautiful family. They share what they have with other people even strangers. And it’s true they always have great food in their home as well 💕🫶🏻 I can write so many good stories of their goodness but this comment will be too long.
Love you! Miss you ❤️
Hey family. Love you'll guys
Happy new year! 💖💖💖
Happy new year!!
God Bless
FOOD is our biggest expense as well here in the U.S. I need a flashing toilet 😅to live comfortably💜💚💙
I’m still trying hard to get our food shopping bill down too 😅 I didn’t realise how expensive it is here for food in supermarkets, especially if on a western diet. Looking forward to the next video!
I know, right? Its a struggle but so nice to know we're not alone in this. The adjustment with food is huge.
healthy topic 💯💯💯💯💯
hello baby ganda
It's more cheaper here than USA
❤❤❤
Its normal that u have bigger bills, u should not compare to other locals they. Are used to live that lifestyle. Its also nice u are able to give youre kids convenience instead of living on the bare minimum why would u give up all the luxuries that u do can effort
I would suggest that you put ads too at the start of the video. Then in the middle of the video. You only have ads at the end of the video.
His handsome jhon
You guys should not and "not" feel bad or guilty because you have the ability to spend money and earn money. Good people deserve good things! You be you and they will be them. You have a family to raise. Raise them well! God fearing and godly children!
Do not feel bad or guilty for what God has given you freely!
this is one of Lora's fault actually. as soon as we receive a blessing in life she feels guilty because she is very empathetic. She sees the problem and wants to help first.
@@OurHalfAsianAdventure hence the non-profit of giving money. You guys should look into "Humanity Forward" when you guys go back to the US. They advocate for direct cash relief that helped the US government with advancing the CTC every month rather than waiting to file for taxes.
We can do the same things in the Philippines where families gets financial resources to help themselves. We just need data so we can propose properly.
I'll wait for your response on my E-mail. We can also Google meet at your convenience so you can meet the team...
Thanks guys!!!
Hello po ❤❤❤
You can live simple but for sure have like running water and flushing toilets. And the rest will be good. Please don’t compare your situation for the locals, your kids was born here. Another thing you can still help people, but don’t feel guilty what you have. It’s ok to cut down your budget, but not when you and the family are uncomfortable. For me big thing is we’re very wasteful country, but because we have everything. But please don’t compare your life for the locals. They were born there, but not you and the family. Yes John was born there but lived in the US more than half of his life. Since you moved in the Philippines I became your subscriber no skip ads to help you guys. Praying for you all good health, life and happiness.🙏❤️
❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍
please dont be forced to do things to cater to other people, make sure you guys and the kids are well looked after and cared for, you can cut some expenses back, but dont suffer over it.
Wow, you are paying too much. Is there a meter for electric & water usage? Is it individual or sharing with the rest of the compound? I never heard of that much. I agree that you will be able to save more living in a country setting. God Bless!
Please don't compare your expenses with the poorest people. You will indeed feel guilty but there always people poorer than you. Then are also people who are richer than you. So spend at the level that you are comfortable spending without thinking about the others.
Your monthly rent is cheap. You cannot find a 12k house that nice even in Metro Manila. You don't need to look at the US to look for people living a comfortable life. A lot of people in the Philippines live a comfortable life too.
sir john ano ba ang work mo
d2 sa atin sa pinas
John a modern Bahay Kubo house?
Paano kami magift sa inyo by gcash
Spend money wise otherwise thinking of those poor people around the world
I hear the rooster 🤣.

Background music is always a little too loud in these talking head videos.
thanks for the feedback, its always difficult to know if its too loud and always seems to depend on the speaker, whether we're editing with headphones, the laptop speaker or the desktop computer speaker. thanks for your patience. we will keep this in mind.
