- Here's a long overdue update for ya! We LEFT the Philippines! After 18 months of living in the Philippines with our family, we have come home to the US again. We can't wait to catch up with you and share our next adventures. Exciting things coming!!!

We totally understand your situation. We decided to live in Switzerland instead of in the Philippines because the salaries are much higher in Switzerland. We miss the Philippines too, our family there, but we can support all people better from here and go back for holidays. Sending love and hugs to your family, Susanne and Ariel
My family experienced the same exact thing, we moved to the Philippines to start fresh but circumstances brought us back to the US. We wanted to stay in the Philippines for good but it didn’t work out. The Lord will call us to the place where we need to be. You guys are amazing! I think your strong faith and willingness to follow whatever the Lord commands you to do is just incredibly motivating and inspiring! You are called to do something here in the US just keep trusting in Him. ❤❤❤

If anything, the best part of living in the Philippines was that it may have answered all the “what if’s” that you have had before you made the decision. Sa unang impression ko pa lang sa inyo noon ay tama ako. Hindi kayo makakatagal ng pagtira dito sa Pilipinas. Ang desisyon nyo na pabigla bigla dahil akala nyo na makaka survive kayo financially sa pag yu utube ay sa expectation nyo lang. Minsan hit or miss lang din ang malaking kita/salary sa vlogging. Kasi it needs a lot of hard work din talaga. Minsan successful..minsan failure. Good luck.

@ungasis589 I totally 👍 agree with you. This happens to many individuals. My husband is Filippino and I am a foreign woman. Living in the Philippines is different compare to coming here on holiday! It's a different type of " ball game". Both my husband and I had travelled a lot before we even met and got married! And we also lived in Europe and Philippines. My husband gave me a heads up, on exactly how the way of life is in the Phils. Nobody knows about the life in Phil's more better than a Filippino! And yes one needs to accept it for what it is! It helps when you keep your home, so that when you return you already have a place to live in. If not,........it's hard because it is starting all over again from scratch,from the beginning. Hopefully Laura can get herself busy with work,or some studies. And John get back to his work! All the best for the Half Asian Adventure.

If you don’t have land and farm or business it’s hard to live in the Philippines if you’ didn’t grew up in the Philippines 🇵🇭 if you really like to live there you can live in the Philippines the life there it’s better than here in the US but keep on program your health insurance and your kids insurance and life insurance because medical too expensive in the Philippines except dental and vision is cheaper there

I wish you both and your family the very best. I spent a month in the Philippines with my Filipina wife and stepdaughter in the province with her siblings and parents. It was so hard to come back. But on the other hand, we were ready to get back to work and my stepdaughter is a second year student body officer in her 8th grade school up here in Roy Utah.

I said it I’d before you left home, you’re better of living here in the US making dollars, having medical and every opportunity is available to you. You can always visit PI and have a wonderful time. Life is not easy here in the US…. But, every opportunity is available here.
You need to have enough sustainable resources to survive living in the Philippines.

I would love to move to the Philippines with my family. I have condo there but I have to think a lot especially they are still young. I might need multiple investment before we finally move in the Philippines. I don’t want my kids to suffer what I had before when I was there.

We did sell it. But we plan to live there again in 5 to 10 years

Mindoro isn't the best place to live in the Philippines. Better explore other more convenient and livable provinces.

That's not true. You don't get paid based on subscribers. Just views.
The US offers lots of federal and state safety net programs including food stamps, free education and school meals, free or reduced health insurance, subsidized housing, unemployment money etc. The YT market is a fickle source of income, some resort to "click bait" titles, constant video recording and editing required to sustain a viable and engaged audience. It works for some, and others...well, reality sets in.
Save money and give the kids good education...then retire in the Philippines
