We are John and Lora Moreno! We have 4 cute half-asian kids and we make videos all the time to show our friends around the world what our life is like. John grew up in the Philippines until he was 17 and Lora is a small town girl from Wyoming! We have videos about our relationship, including How we met, and how we raise our half filipino kids. We travel, we do fun projects, we homeschool our kids, and we have a strong faith in Jesus Christ that leads every aspect of our lives. Everyday is an adventure.

There's usually lots of tears and grieving shortly after the death, and then again at the interment. In between is the celebration of the deceased's life. A party atmosphere which could include singing and drinking is not unusual. Gambling may be held day and night with the portions of the bets donated to the bereaved. The wake could last as long as a week, to give far flung relatives time to come and pay their last respects. I was born in the Philippines but have lived in Texas for over 45 years. I told my friends and loved ones that I expect them to have a party-like get together soon after I passed away. This is to commemorate the happy times we shared together. I promised them that I'll be at their midst celebrating with them. From a Filipino perspective, it's a celebration of life and in no way disrespects the dead. Understandably, it may be shocking from a foreigner's point of view. Just remember, we Americans don't have a monopoly on the right way of doing things. I applaud your effort to have an open mind.

The reason of the long days of wake, for family that lives far away mostly who work abroad and some family maybe can't come in some certain days. having a long days of wake gives opportunity to those who's far away to attend the wake.

Thanks for sharing your perspective and also during the wake of their beloved, superstitions say that one must refrain from sweeping the floor. Neither should you try and take a shower at the place where the deceased is. Doing so may send its spirit away from the place, preventing it from “safely passing” to life after death.

Well, speaking frankly, your vlogs gets boring after some time. There is nothing much to see in Mindoro and the views there aren't that much pleasing, except for the beaches which you haven't really explored much. Pinoy netizens likes to watch travel vloggers or atleast those who move around for leisure just to explore a certain place. Or people who immerse themselves to the cultures around the PH, not just in one place. Because there is so much things that Pinoys want to see foreigners do in their country. Family daily vlogs is not a hit in PH unlike the US. I don't know but people there seemed to enjoy watching children. 😶 Good decision for you guys to keep a full time job instead of vlogging. But if you decide to move around the PH, try to vlog again.

And thats why we made the next video. Hahaha. Its just not the genre we want to make in our channel. Maybe eventually. But for now we will do this as a hobby and not a business.

I like watching this family. It's interesting to see how this family the children will grow in the Philippines how they'll survive I'm sure they'll be alright. If not they can always go back to America. A lot of Filipinos dream of settling in the Philippines.
